Alpha Calvin

"Liam you awake brother?"

"Yeah I'm up, everything ok?"

"Can you come to my floor?"

"Sure thing be up now." I walk out of my bedroom and straight to the kitchen and get the coffee going it's 6.30 am and after another shit night's sleep, I need that shit in an iv.

"Jack you awake brother?"

"Jack... Jack wake up!" He must be dead to the world because usually, he's sharp as shit when I link him regardless of the time.

"JACK!" I bellow into the link this time hoping to get through to him.

"Alpha everything ok?" He sounds groggy as fuck, it's a first for him but I have a feeling there's a reason for it. "Can you come up to my floor please and bring Ashley with you?"

"Of course Cal we will be up now." At least he sounds more alert now. I finish pouring out coffee for everyone as Liam walks through the door and instantly scoops up one of the cups looking as shit as I feel. "Please tell me you have a plan in mind?" He grunts as he quickly finishes his coffee and starts pouring another. "I don't have a plan yet but I have someone who has more information on the matter and that should lead us to a plan." The door creaks as I follow Liam's movements refilling my cup as Jack walks in followed by his mate Ashley and neither of them looks any better than us.

"You awake now sleeping beauty?" I smirk Jack's way as he and Ashley take a seat and Liam passes them both their coffee. I walk over to one of the loveseats in my longe and slump down as my body screams out at me in exhaustion. "What have I missed?" Liam sits down across from me on the other loveseat while Jack and Ashley are on one of the couches.

"I had to bellow at Jack when I linked him to wake him up, it's a good job that we weren't under attack because he was too busy dreaming of unicorns and chocolate!"

"Pfft!" Liam laughs out loud while I catch sight of Ashley chuckling away as Jack tries to look unimpressed but it's not washing with me.

"We had a late night and even then we didn't sleep much, I must have dosed off heavy!"

"Wait... what's that?" Liam stands up, walks over to Jack, and pulls on his shirt collar. "Well, that explains your late night!" He smirks wide and does the same thing to Ashley's collar and I quickly click on what's going on.

"You've marked each other?"

"We have!" They both answer at the same time while wearing matching beaming smiles. Liam and I are soon beaming just as much as them with how happy we are for them but fuck I can't wait to find my mate and experience what they have.

"I'm so happy for you guys!"

"Yes me too!" Liam adds.

Ashley

I can't wipe the shit-eating grin off my face. Finally, I'm wearing Jack's mark and I couldn't be any more proud, and I'm pretty sure that he feels the same. There's a knock on the door bringing everyone's attention across the room as Liam heads for the door. He opens the door smiling wide as he greets whoever is there but for some reason the sound of the voice makes me feel off. The moment Liam heads back towards us and I see whos with him my heart starts pounding and I'm instantly pissed.

"Oh hell no!" I shout out. His head flies towards me shock laced across his face

"I hope that's not directed at me, Ashley?" He snips back at me his shock quickly turning to anger.

"Oh, it was uncle!"

"Uncle?" I hear the question echoed around the room but my focus is solely on the asshole that's standing right in front of me. My uncle Mac, he's my mother's brother, and I've never liked him! "You dare speak towards me in that way. I am your uncle and you should treat me with respect!"

"Bitch, please! I'll treat you with respect when you do the same. Respect is earned not just given because you say it should be!"

"Why I owt to" He steps forward towards me and at the same time, Jack jumps up and in front of me lowly growling as a warning. I stand up and go to step in front of Jack but he sticks his arm out stopping me. "What the fuck am I missing?" Calvin spits out while Liam looks between Mac and me utterly confused. "Is Ashley your nephew?"

"Unfortunately he is!"

"Oh bless your poor cotton socks!" I chirp out while Alfie chuckles inside my head.

"You are nothing but a disrespectful piece of shit Ashley!"

"Oh, well fuck me now I'm offended!" My eyes roll back with the force of my sarcasm causing Liam to bellow out with laughter. "Mac, I've always respected you but I can't allow you to disrespect a member of my pack, I won't!" Calvin's words are low but firm and don't leave any room for argument. "Is he the wolf that you were telling me about, your Gamma's mate?" Mac asks Calvin keeping his face neutral but I can see behind his mask.

"Yes, he is."

"Well, I wish I had known!"

"So you could have changed your mind uncle Mac?" I make sure to emphasize my words when I say uncle Mac just to piss him off that little bit more. He's hated me calling him uncle for years now always insisting on just Mac not that I've seen him that often. "I didn't say that!"

"Oh, but you thought it," I drawl out. "Oh yay sassy Ashley is out to play!" Alfie chimes in my head causing me to laugh out loud. "What the fuck are you laughing at?" Mac shouts a little red in the face.

"Oh calm your self lord tight ass. Let's be honest there's no chance of it ever being you now is there?"

"Lord tight ass?" He asks me looking even redder than before. "You ok there uncle? Your looking a little red or are your knickers just on too tightly?" Of course, as I say those words Jack picks that time to take a sip of his coffee which results in it flying out of his mouth and all over Mac and me howling with laughter alongside Liam while Calvin fights to hold his laughter in.

"Ok, that's enough." Calvin looks serious as he speaks but I can still see the laughter behind his eyes. "Why are you here anyway?" I manage to sound half-decent when I speak to Mac which is more than he deserves. "Alpha Calvin called for some advice on something that involved a new member of his pack. I have worked with this pack several times Ashley."

"Mac I would appreciate any help you have in this situation but you must understand that I won't allow any disrespect towards any of my pack members. Now can you both behave for us to get this matter started or shall we just stop this meeting here?"

Calvin looks to Mac who nods yes but I know that it's the last thing that he wants to do. I feel Jack tighten his hold on my hand as he turns to face me. He leans in close to my ear and starts to lowly whisper.

"I don't know what's going on and I've got your back no matter what but if you can hold it in it would help us, Mac's knowledge is shit hot when it comes to the black market and he could help us, and Kelly." Great now I have to be nice to the twat! I nod to Jack then turn to Calvin doing the same and push Alfie to the back of my head as we all take a seat.

"Ok, so Alpha Calvin you said that you needed some help involving the black market?"

"That's right. We have had a situation come up and I'll be honest I don't have a clue of what to do but what I do know is we need to move quickly and we need your help!"

"Wait you said that this problem that you were having involved your new pack member?"

"It does Mac."

"Ashley?" Mac looks at me confused but also slightly worried and it's a strange sight to see, it's not a look I've ever seen on his face before. I nod my head but I can't seem to get any words out. Jack takes my hand in his and gives me a gentle squeeze the sparks from our touch shoot up my arm and the feel of his hand gives me comfort like no other! "Mac, mom is involved in the black market."

"What? No, she can't be!"

"She can and she is. Mac, she plans to sell Kelly!"
