We’re almost back on our pack lands and I can’t wait to be there and to find out what the fuck is going on with Coby.

When I saw he was the one who opened the door to the room that the children were in I was fucking furious, don’t get me wrong I was relieved that we finally had him but still I was furious at seeing him with the children.

That was until Liam told me what he knew, after speaking to him I was just fucking confused, I still am if I’m being honest but I trust Liam and so do Jack and Cal and so when he asked that we bring Coby back and question him rather than just killing him there and then we all agreed.

Of course, we don’t trust him, fuck I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him right now so he is currently sitting in the row of seats behind me in between Ryder and Larry with silver cuffs keeping his ankles and wrists bound together.

Cole is sitting next to Jack while I’m sitting next to the window and Cal's up front in the passenger seat while Liam drives.

We have a few SUVs following us but the group that was originally at Alpha Titos has stayed at the war ground with Alpha Tito and his men to deal with the cleanup and then our men will be returning to us once they are finished and they will be bringing home our fallen warriors.

Unfortunately, we lost 6 warriors in the battle and Alpha Tito lost 5. We don’t know how many died from Alpha Ashton's… I mean Alpha Craig’s pack and for the ones who were fighting against their will I feel sorrow but for the bastards that were happy to be a part of it I hope they rot in hell.

Our fallen warriors will have the send-off that they deserve and we will make sure that their families are taken care of. Mark, Tony, Wilson, and Jenna didn't have any mates or children but still had other families. Carl had a mate but no children while Ross's mate Emerald give birth to a little girl Lola only 3 weeks ago.

I can't begin to imagine how their families are going to feel, it's heartbreaking to just think about it nevermind actually witnessing it but we will be there for them as a pack and as a family and we will help them through it and make sure that little Lola is well looked after.

“What the fuck….” The SUV starts to slow down at Liam’s words.

“What is it?” Jack asks as he tries to look through the gap of the front seats and out of the window, the problem is it’s pitch black so even with our wolf sight it’s still harder to see anything.

“There’s something on the road,” Liam grunts as he brings the SUV to a complete stop.

“Can you see what it is?” I try to look myself but I can’t see a fucking thing.

“Shit!” Cal suddenly bellows out as he unbuckles his seat belt and gets out of the SUV as quickly as possible.

At his movements, we all rush to get out of the SUV to follow our Alpha. It doesn’t matter what he’s doing or where he’s going we will always follow him and have his back.

“Larry stay with Coby,” Jack shouts behind us causing Larry to nod and quickly jump back in the SUV while being on full alert. Before we even reach Cal the warriors from the other SUVs reach us ready to protect their Alpha just like us.

“Cole, Samson, Nick, and Jason I want you to go and guard the Alpha's SUV, warrior Larry is in there guarding Coby but this could be a trap.

They all nod and run for the SUV just as we arrive at Cal's side. I step right up to him along with Liam Jack and the sight that greets me makes me want to throw up.

Sitting in the middle of this dark narrow road is a child… a fucking child! It’s clear to see that she’s a girl and just from a quick glance I’d say she can’t be any more than 9 or 10 years old.

Fuck this little girl is Kelly's age and currently sitting in the middle of the road completely alone and completely fucking naked with her knees bent up and her face resting on them. We can’t see her face but we can see her shivering from either being cold or scared although my bet is it’s properly both.

Jack takes a step toward her but she scoots herself back away from him without even looking at him. He takes another small step toward her before getting down on his hunches so he’s more level with her.

“It’s ok sweetheart, we’re not going to hurt you.” She doesn’t move a muscle at his words nor does she say anything. “Can you look at me, sweetheart?” Jack's words are gentle and appear to be working as she slowly starts to raise her head just enough so that we can see her eyes.

“Good girl.“ He smiles. “Why are you out here on your own huh?” He slowly moves a little closer to her but again she backs herself up. “No one's going to hurt you, darling. “

“I know.” The words are whispered but we hear them.

“Good.” Jack smiles looking slightly relieved at her speaking. “Can you tell me your name please?”

“Rachel.”

“We’ll it’s lovely to meet you, Rachel. Now can you tell me why you are out here alone in the dark?”

“I’m waiting for someone.” What the fuck? Who the hell is she waiting for out here at night fucking naked?”

“Who are you waiting for?” She doesn’t answer him instead she just stares at him and a shiver runs through my whole body. Something isn’t right here.

“Alpha something's wrong!” I quickly whisper in his ear. He gives me a look that tells me that he’s thinking the same before his eyes glaze over and I turn my attention back to Jack making sure I have his back.

Seconds later several warriors break away from us and scatter around the place, I’m guessing Cal linked them to take watch until we know what’s going on. We could be wrong but I’m not willing to take the chance and I know Cal will feel the same.

“Who are you waiting for Rachel?” Jack's tone is tenser and I’m pretty sure that he’s now having the same thoughts as Cal and I, hell Liam properly is too.

“You guys.” She whispers only this time her tone holds a more chilling sound.

“And why are you waiting for us, Rachel?” He stays down on his hunches but I don’t miss how he’s slowly moving away from her.
