The moment those words slip from his mouth I'm instantly raging inside, my heart pounds and my hands fist up into balls wanting to punch something while Alfie bangs fuck out of my head wanting me to let him out.

"Where is he?" I hear myself speak but the voice doesn’t belong to me, it’s a mixture of the Gamma inside of me and Alfie as they both fight to be free.

I close my eyes trying everything I know to calm myself down but nothing is working. All I want to do right now is get my hands on that prick and make him suffer for everything he has done!

I’m so consumed by my burning anger that I can’t concentrate on controlling Alfie and I can feel my body shaking and my bones slowly moving as he starts to win his fight to get out.

I smell him before I see him then his large hands take a gentle hold of my forearms. "Breathe darling." Jack's voice is low and calm and nothing like how I feel right now but still my body listens to him. “That’s it, baby, now open your eyes.” Again my body complies with him without me making any effort and I know he’s using the mating bond to calm me down but I don’t care, I need to get a hold of myself and Alfie before we do something here that we’ll both regret.

I open my eyes but they feel wild as I scan around the room so fast that I feel like I have whiplash. "Baby look at me, just focus on me. Don’t worry about anyone or anything else, just look at me, darling.”

My eyes zero in on his then as I gradually gain control of my sight his beautiful face appears in front of my face and his reassuring smile helps bring me more much-needed calm. "That’s it, baby, you got this." He continues to gently rub my arms and the tingles from the mate bond help me continue to battle my rage.

"Taz is talking to Alfie so all you need to do is concentrate on yourself, ok baby?" I nod agreeing even though I still feel a little off balance. Jack gives me another smile right before he leans in close to me and places a sweet kiss on my lips.

"You back with me darling?" His kiss was the final thing that I needed even if I didn’t realize it.

"I’m here, I’m sorry. Shit, I’m sorry Alpha, I didn’t mean any disrespect!" Fuck for some reason my mind has gone hazy and I’m not exactly sure of what I’ve done.

"Your fine Ash, you haven’t done anything wrong but is there anyone in this room aside from myself, Liam, you, or Jack?" I’m confused by his question but still, I find myself looking around the room.

I shake my head no. "No there’s not." It sounds like more of a question than an answer but as I said his question has confused me.

“Nope, there’s not so less of the Alpha knob head you know the rules!" A laugh slips past my lips at his comment while both Jack and Liam lowly laugh as Cal sits behind his big ass desk smirking wide.

"Sorry, Cal!"

"Don’t let it happen again or I’ll make you listen to the rules again only this time I’ll take my time." He’s still smirking and looking at his smirk is what makes me realize that I'm now smiling too.

"It won’t." I love the guy to bits but I’m pretty sure that another conversation about the rules will send me insane even if the conversation was funny. Cal is no normal Alpha that’s for sure.

Alpha Roland won't have anyone call him anything other than Alpha or Alpha Roland so much so that even his mate and children have to call him Alpha when they are not on their floor. Inside their home is the only place he will be called dad or just Roland and I know many other Alphas who are the same.

Cal, however, well he hates us calling him Alpha unless it’s in front of other pack members and it involves pack business. This is nice because it shows how much he thinks of us as friends, as a family plus it’s funny as fuck when someone forgets and he gives them hell.

"Ok everyone take a seat, let’s get down to business." Cal's back in Alpha mode and I’m grateful because I may have calmed down but I still want his head on a stick ASAP!

Liam takes one of the large chairs that are placed in front of the desk while Jack moves to the other one and pulls me down onto his lap. "What do you know Cal?" Liam doesn’t waste any time asking.

"So Ryder called me about an hour ago to inform me that one of the warriors in his group Alan had found some sort of underground entrance and that they were going to search it. I offered our assistance but he said it would be a waste if it didn’t lead anywhere and he’d rather not waste our time so instead he would check it out with several of the men"

He takes a deep breath and rubs his hand down his face and already I know that I’m going to hate whatever he says next. "He called back not too long ago and said that the tunnel led to a complete underground. It looks like it’s being used as a hiding place or possibly as holding cells.”

"What makes them think they could be holding cells." I can feel Jack's heart pounding against my back as he speaks.

"There are singular cells down there with doors and inside several of them, they have found dirty blankets, buckets in the corners, and… fuck they have found toys in some of them too," Cal growls out the last few words while I completely tense up with anger and I know that Jack and Liam both do the same.

"Your Fucking kidding me right?" Liam bellow out.

"I wish I was brother, but as I said there is a chance that they are being used as hiding places."

"But you don’t think that’s true." My words are more a statement rather than a question but I’m pretty sure I'm right.

"Honestly with everything that’s been going on and what we’ve been finding out, I’m more inclined to believe that they are holding kids down there that they are selling."

"This has my mother's name written all over it. Fuck she gets sicker and more twisted every day. I can’t believe that women give birth to me, honestly, she’s a fucking waste of fresh air!"

"Wait… did they find anyone down there?” Jack's question pulls me out of the little pity party that I was having and brings me back to reality. Where the fuck is Coby?

"Nope. No one but Ryder could smell a few different scents so they believe that wolves are staying there but of course, until we know different we can only assume it’s them however they have found something that pretty much proves that Coby has been there."

"What have they found Cal?" The words rush out of my mouth.

"Although there's no one down there right now, while the warriors were searching the cells they found a wallet. The wallet had an ID card inside for one Coby Trinket and also credit cards in his name so he's definitely staying there." Fuck!

"While I wish that we physically had him I'm still glad that we know where he is and will be able to get our hands on him."

"I know and I feel the same but Ryder and the warriors are going to keep watch over the place. Far enough away not to be seen but close enough that they will be able to see anyone that enters. He won't get away again Ash," Cal looks nothing but determined and despite my emotions, I believe in him and trust him.

"How far away is the place?" Liam asks while looking seriously pissed.

"It’s actually 10 minutes away from Alpha Tito's pack." I've never met Alpha Tito but Jack has mentioned him to me. Both Calvin and his dad have worked with him in the past and apparently, he is a decent guy and a good Alpha.

"Huh… how did they end up that far away?" Jack asks this time.

"They got carried away while searching and ended up further out than they thought and before they know it they picked up a trail and just kept walking."

"Fuck that’s some effort!" Alpha Tito's pack is 3 and a half hours away from here.

Cal nods his head while pride sworns in his eyes at the effort his men are making. "I’m going to make a phone call to Alpha Tito and see if he will be able to spare Ryder some men if needed or maybe I’ll see if he has room for a few of us to go there and wait this out that end. I know I’d feel better being closer even if it does turn out to be nothing.”

Everyone’s quick to agree including me. "But first let’s go and get some breakfast. It’s still early and I know that Alpha Tito doesn't like to get up before 8."

"Wise move. We need him on our side, not pissed at us." Liam laughs.

"Before we go to breakfast there's something that we need to talk to you about Cal?" Jack's nervous tone brings the whole Nora situation back to the front of my mind.

"This sounds serious, should I be worried?" Cal sits up a little straighter in his seat while looking to me for answers but this is Jack's story to tell not mine, not unless he needs me to.

"Would you like me to leave?" Liam starts to stand but Jack grabs his arm shaking his head.

"No you need to hear this to Liam, I want you to stay." Liam nods before sitting back down while I feel Jack's whole body tense up tightly.

Jack takes in a long hard breath as his nerves begin to show, it's a strange thing for me to see because it's not something I've seen often since I met him, in fact, I think this may only be the second or third time that I've seen him in this state.

I take his hand in mine and gently squeeze him reminding him that I'm here with him. "You've got this baby," I whisper to him. He turns his head to look at me and thankfully I see a small smile on his lips as he nods his head.

He turns back to look at Cal and starts telling him everything that happened with his nightmare and when we went to see Nora and I swear if it was possible both Liam and Cal's jaws would be on the floor.

"Fuck!" Cal spits out. "So what do you think could be going on?"

"Honestly I haven't got a fucking clue, Cal. I don't want to think bad of Nora you know that but I can't ignore what I saw after the dream I had. I hope I'm wrong but it felt like too much not to tell you or Liam."

"You were right to tell us, Jack. It may be nothing and knowing Nora as we do it properly is nothing but we'll keep an eye on her." He rubs his chin while seemingly thinking it over.

"Ok how about we head out for breakfast then I'll contact Alpha Tito about our Coby situation and then we'll meet back in here and go through this again. It will allow us all to have time to try and think through this some more and decide how best to move forward and for now we will keep this between the four of us. Does that sound ok with you guys?"

We all agree and chat for a few more moments before heading for the kitchen. It’s not until the moment that the smell of bacon and eggs hits my nose that I realize how hungry I am and fuck am I going to eat.
