Gamma Ashley

"Who's Alpha Ashton?" I don't like the look on Calvin or Jack's faces right now. Jack lets out a long hard sigh and I can tell that he wants to hide it from me but he quickly changes his mind when I give him a "don't bother lying" look. "He's Alpha of the dark moon pack and... Well, let's just say he's not a nice guy!"

"I need more than that Jack." He hesitates before sharing a look with Calvin that I dont like then looks back at me. "I don't think it's going to do you any good darling. Let's concentrate on getting Kelly and then I'll tell you all about him."

"So help me Jack if you don't start talking now you won't be seeing my ass for a very long time!" I cross my arms as I sass him and fight to hold back my smirk when Cal, Liam and the warrior driving all burst out with laughter. "You can't do that!" He whines out like a child that's been told he can't have any more candy and pouts like a toddler that's been refused a new toy but fuck he looks cute. And it's at this moment that I realise that I'm never going to do well in staying mad at him about anything in the future if he's gonna look at me like this. I'm screwed!

"Fine!" He caves almost instantly and again I fight to hold back my laughter. "As I said he's Alpha of the dark moon pack and he's a nasty piece of work!"

"Have you ever met him?"

"Only once and that was enough. Cal has met him a few times when he's travelled to their pack with his dad while he was learning all the ropes for becoming Alpha." I look over at Calvin and the grim look that he's got plastered across his face has me instantly antsy.

"Tell me what he's like. Please don't hide anything from me, I need to know!" My tone is half demanding and half pleading as I give Jack my best puppy dog eyes. "Oh, you're fucked with that look, Jack!" Liam laughs. Of course, he chooses to comment at the very same time that Calvin's drinking from his water bottle and said water ends up on the windscreen, the dashboard and Calvin himself causing more laughter to spread throughout the SUV. The smirk that I've been fighting to keep inside quickly spreads wide across my face and laughter rumbles in my chest.

"Tell me about it!" He rolls his eyes and shoots me a wink before he starts to look more serious and my belly does a horrible flip. "He's not a good man Ash as I said I've only met him once but I remember hoping that I'd never have to see him again! He's ruthless and vindictive and there's nothing he won't do to get what he wants including using and hurting women and children."

The moment he mentions women and children I feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and a shiver runs down my spine "What's he do to children Jack?"

"He's been known to hurt them if they don't obey him and there are rumours that he has child brides. As I said it's a rumour and I've never known anyone to confirm it but it is said that he has several child brides and they are forced to act as wives in every regard."

"YOU FUCKING WHAT?" I growl out the words while I push down the bile that's in my throat. "Fuck I feel sick! Do you think that's why he's bought, Kelly?" No one speaks or even breathes loudly but their silence is all the answer that I need. "Ashley he won't get Kelly. We will get to her before he can lay a finger on her!" Calvin growls out while the rest of the car starts agreeing. I appreciate their help and their want to rescue my sister but in all honesty, it's not helping me right now, nothing will help me until I've got Kelly by my side.

"I know it's hard to believe right now but just wait and see darling." Jack's gentle smile helps settle me a little but I'm still seriously anxious and I just need to get to Kelly and fast!

Gamma Jack

The look on Ashley's face after Cal and I tell him about Alpha Ashton is devastating and I get it, hell my stomach is in knots thinking about what could happen to her and I've never met her. Once we get Kelly I'm going to have a chat with Calvin about looking into his pack. If we can find out that this is true then we can go to the elders and put a stop to it.

"We'll be arriving in just a few minutes men so make sure you're ready," Calvin shouts out as we turn onto a narrow road covered by trees. "We'll be there in a few seconds Alpha. The packhouse is just around this bend," Ashley tells him. As soon as he finishes speaking the packhouse comes into view and Warren our warrior that's driving comes to a stop far enough away that no one in the pack should be able to see us.

"What's the plan Alpha?" Ryan another of our warriors asks from behind me.

"I am going to try the easier route first. I am going to request a meeting with Alpha Roland and see if he agrees and lets me in. If he does then everyone in this vehicle will come in with me and if he doesn't let me in then we will call for the other warriors that will be hiding out here and we'll go to war on his ass!"

He links one of the warriors from the SUV behind us and tells him the plan then Warren starts driving towards the packhouse again. Within seconds we are at the gates and an older man steps up to the driver's side of the SUV as Warren lets down the window.

"Who are you and what do you want?" His voice is gruff and pissy as he somewhat leans into the window area to look at who's inside. He's the person greeting any visitors to this pack and he's not making a good impression right now. I look across at my mate but he doesn't look like he recognises the wolf, maybe he's a newer member.

"Is that any way to speak to an Alpha?" Calvin's Alpha tone booms out and I have to bite back a laugh at how quickly the prick goes from bossy and hostile to a fucking puppy. "Alpha Calvin is that you?"

"Yes, it is!"

"Goddess I'm so sorry Alpha Calvin I didn't mean to be so outspoken and rude!"

"I'm sure you didn't. What's your name wolf?"

"I'm Connor a Warrior here at this pack sir."

"Ok, Connor how about you inform your Alpha that I am here and requesting a meeting with him and next time you have guests remember your manners!"

"Of course sir." His eyes glaze over as I'm guessing he links Alpha Roland and I can practically feel Ashley squirming beside me. "You ok darling?" This is his old pack and I may not know everything that he's been through here yet but I know enough to understand why he's feeling like he is. "Yes. No. I dunno sweetcheeks. I guess I'm happy that we are here so that we can hopefully get Kelly but I'd be lying if I said that I ever wanted to be at this place again!"

"I get that darling but once we have Kelly you never have to be here again. I promise." I mean it even if we need to deal with them again in the future, I will never make Ashley come back here if he doesn't want to. "I'm glad we left dad pack at the pack." His link startles me for a moment as we haven't needed to use it yet but fuck it's amazing to hear because it just reminds me of how he's mine. All mine!

"Me too."

The car starts moving and I realise that I've missed something while giving my mate the attention that he deserves. "What's happening Cal?"

"He's agreed to see us." Well, thank fuck for that!

Within a few minutes, we arrive outside of the packhouse to see Alpha Roland, his son Troy the future Alpha, his Beta, Gamma and two other wolves that I dont remember meeting before when I was here standing on the front steps and none of them looks amused. Good!

We quickly exit the SUV but as soon as we step outside I feel Ashley's emotions through the bond. He's anxious and nervous but there's also anger there that I know he's going to have to fight to control. "You've got this baby and you've got me right behind you." I link him and his rewarding beautiful smile tells me everything he wants to say.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Oh hell no! That better not be who I think it is. I take Ashley's hand as we walk around the SUV until we are facing everyone on the steps and then she walks out of the pack door. Yep, the fake-tanned, fake-lipped, fake-assed twat has come outside and I swear she looks even more fake than the last time I saw her. Barbie ain't got shit on this bitch!

"Excuse me?" Cal is pissed and I'm right there with him. She goes to step forward but Alpha Roland puts his arm out stopping her. "What are you doing Roland?"

"That's Alpha Roland and now's not the time for this Hailey!" His tone shows he's not joking and I wonder if he's had a tit full of her bullshit too.

Ashley lets out a low chuckle at the look on her face. She looks like she's been chewing a wasp and it's hard not to laugh myself. "I'll ask only one more time. What the fuck are you doing here?" She squints her eyes as she tries to stare down Ashley but he's not having any of it and nor should he. Cal steps forward at his full height as he stares the bitch down and she's forced to look away. "I requested a meeting with Alpha Roland and these are my higher-ranking members and warriors."

She looks back up towards us all and suddenly bursts out laughing. "What's so funny Hailey?" Alpha Roland asks her looking completely confused. "I know why they are here. You are here for Kelly aren't you?" She turns her head from Alpha Roland to us as she speaks but the evil glint in her eyes has me tense. "Hailey get inside now!" Alpha Roland's voice is rising and yet she doesn't move a muscle.

"I'm right ain't I?" She asks the question as she completely blanks her Alpha's command. "Well I've got news for you, she's not here." She starts laughing well more like cackling and throws her head back looking dramatic and pathetic. "Where is she?" Calvin keeps his tone firm but calm as he asks the question that we already know the answer to. "She has been sold like the trash she is!"

"HAILEY THAT'S ENOUGH!" Alpha Roland booms out in his Alpha tone and for the first time since we got here, she finally pays him some attention. "It's the truth." She shrugs her shoulders like it's no big deal."We heard that she was for sale and that is the reason for my request to this meeting. I want to know the asking price for Kelly. I'm interested in buying her."

Holy hell balls I didn't see that one coming. Cal hadn't mentioned anything about this to me but I'm insanely grateful to him. I'll pay the money myself if I need to. "Yeah right of course you are. You only want her because she's that pathetic excuse of a wolf's sister." A growl slips past my lips as Taz comes to the front of my mind wanting out so he can rip this bitch apart. "I'm pretty sure that you dont care about why anyone wants her, you just want the money." I can see Cal fighting to keep himself calm and I'm right there with him.

"Well, it doesn't matter either way as she's already been sold."

"I'll pay you more." Cal takes a small step closer to her as he speaks.

"Alpha Calvin, the brat has sold for $1.5 million and we both know that she's not worth it."

"I'll give you $2 million. Holy hell it's getting hot out here!

"What? Are you being serious?"

"As a heart attack."

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!" She yells out.

"What is it?" Cal asks.

"I can't believe you're willing to pay that much for her and I've already sold her!"

"Then change your mind about the other buyer. Make up some excuse and sell her to me."

"I wish I could Alpha Calvin but she's... she's already gone."

"YOU WHAT?" Cal's Alpha tone booms out loudly making everyone on the steps jump.

"Her buyer picked her up 30 minutes ago she's gone."
