Gamma Jack

"So you're telling me that Ashley Harris is your boyfriend?" This prick doesn't know that Ashley is my mate or if he does and he's still doing this then he's got some giant ass balls! "Yes, he is!" His voice remains firm and I honestly can't decide if he's being truthful or not. I do however believe that he knows Ashley so I can only assume that he's from his old pack. "What pack did you leave to come here?"

"The red ridge pack under Alpha Roland's rule." Fuck I was right he does know him.

"Jack I've found Ashley, poor fucker got himself lost and almost walked off of the parklands!" Liam's link pulls my attention away from the Rogue as visions of my mate lost and alone fill my mind making me insanely sad. "Is he ok Liam?"

"Physically yes but he's bummed out to fuck Jack. You two need to talk!"

"I know. we're over by the north side with the Rogue, a few feet away from where we used to play football. Can you bring him here please brother?" The link stays quiet for a minute or so while I'm guessing Liam speaks to Ashley before he finally links me letting me know that they're on the way.

I turn my attention back to the Rogue that's still on his knees in front of me and all my anger quickly resurfaces. "Do you know my boyfriend?" The moment he says that I see red and lunge at him, thankfully for me Tyson reaches me before I can do any damage and I'm grateful because if I end him now I may never know what's going on.

"Yes I know him but I'm not so sure that he's your boyfriend." I force myself to sound calm as I cross my arms and use all the strength I have to hold myself back. "I happen to know Ashley very well so Rogue tell me something personal about him." He gives me a cocky smirk and I already know that I'm going to hate his answer. "Fine... he's got a birthmark the shape of the sun... on his left butt cheek!" FUCK! I remember seeing that birthmark the first time I took his fine ass.

My anger rises to an all-time high and all I care about right now is tearing this mother fucker apart! Is he planning on trying to steal my mate? Before I can respond or act on my anger my mate's scent swiftly hits my senses and I find myself moving away from the Rogue. After a few seconds, his beautiful face appears through the trees, and as always my heart leaps while Taz purrs out in my head, and all I want to do right now is throw him over my shoulder and haul his ass back to our bedroom and show him exactly how much I want him but I can't because I have this twat of a Rogue to deal with and I need to find out what's going on and how much he knows my mate.

I look down at my mate's face and it's clear to see the pain and hurt in his eyes it kills me but I'm so overwhelmed with anger at this Rogue that I'm struggling to separate my feelings.

I see the way Ash looks at me and I'm pretty sure that he thinks my anger is directed at him but it isn't however I'm struggling to show him that so instead I decide to show him why I'm really angry as I take his hand and pull him towards the Rogue. I stop right in front of the bastard that's still on his knees and the moment I feel Ashley tense up I know that he knows the Rogue, I can feel it and I'm dreading the words that I'll hear next.

"Coby?" My mate stutters out the name as I look at the Rogue to see him smiling at my mate. Goddamit, that mother fucker! "Hi, Ash."

"What the... What are you doing here?" Before he can answer I squeeze his hand that I'm still holding bringing his attention back to me. "Ash, this Rogue here... Coby, when I questioned him he informed me that he has left his old pack to come here to live with his boyfriend, he said that he hasn't been able to get in touch with his boyfriend so he just turned up here."

He looks surprised to hear this and I feel the slightest bit of relief. He doesn't say a word to me instead he looks back at the Rogue. "Boyfriend? I didn't know you had a boyfriend never mind one who lives here, who is it?" That one sentence out of my mate's mouth is enough to make me want to cry with relief! "Ash, he said that you are his boyfriend?" My mate looks straight at me and the look on his face tells me that it is not true and my whole body relaxes at that moment and I know that he feels it too.

"You fucking what?" I've gone from calm but confused to fucking angry in seconds. What the fuck is Coby playing at?

I turn my attention back to Coby to find his smile completely gone and for the first time since I've known him, I want to rip his fucking head off. "Why would you say that Coby?"

"I... huh... I needed to make sure that they didn't kill me straight away for being a Rogue so I used your name to help me although I did come here to see you and I wasn't lying about leaving the pack either, I renounced my loyalty to them when I crossed the border."

"I believe you, Coby, I've known you all my life and I know when your lying but do you have any idea of how much damage you could have caused with your lie about me being your boyfriend!"

"Why could it cause damage?" He looks towards my hand that's still holding Jack's but his face doesn't give anything away.

"Because Coby, I've found my mate, this is my mate, Gamma Jack!" I pull Jack in a little closer to me and finally see Coby's faces change as realization kicks in. "Oh wow, that's amazing Ash!" He's suddenly beaming and I'm reminded of the Coby that I know and love. "Oh shit, oh goddess I'm so sorry Ash, and I'm sorry to you Gamma Jack if I had known I would never have said that, I just needed to see Ash before I was killed!"

Jack doesn't say a word he just stares down at Coby as if he's deciding his next move. Before anything else happens I need to talk to him, he needs to know everything including Coby being my friend with benefits before I left my old pack.

"Jack, we need to talk, can we do that before any more happens with Coby please?" I link him as this is no one else's business. He looks at me and despite all the mixed emotions that are running through my body I still melt at the sight of him, fuck I think I need help! Thankfully he links me back agreeing before putting his attention on Coby and the warriors that are surrounding him.

"Tyson take the Ro... take Coby back to the packhouse and put him in a cell. I want him guarded and treated fair until I let you know the next move ok?" Tyson nods before helping Coby to his feet and guiding him towards the packhouse with everyone following behind until there's only Jack and I left in the middle of the forest.
