After miles of searching, we came across a wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere, it looked worn and abandoned and the perfect place to keep someone, hostage. Most of the windows are boarded up and the old-style porch that's running around the entire cabin has missing planks of wood and the support rail is pretty much hanging off. Yeah, this place hasn't been lived in for a very long time.

Jack sent a couple of warriors ahead to scout out the area around the cabin before we arrived, and thankfully there only appear to be 4 wolves standing guard outside although we don't know how many are inside.

But it doesn't really matter as Cal has pulled everyone from their searching parties and had them come here ready to get in the cabin and get my dad and sister out, well I hope they are both in there anyway.

With everyone here, we have a shit load of wolves ready to fight and way more wolves than they could ever fit in that place.

Jack and I are stationed at one side of the building with a shit lot of warriors, while Liam and Cal take the other side with the same amount of warriors while the rest of the warriors take the back of the house.

Alpha Colton and his men are also spared out between the three groups while Alpha Colton himself is stationed hidden in the forest facing the front of the house alongside some of his warriors keeping watch in case anyone tries escaping that way with Kelly or my dad. We've also left two of our warriors with him so that we can link his group if needed.

"On my count, we all storm the place. Liam, Warren, Toby, and Smith, you guys take out the fuckers guarding the front while everyone goes for the cabin." Cal sends out a mass mind link and someone from each group relays the information to the members of Alpha Colton's pack members that can't be linked and our guys that are with Alpha Colton let him know the plan.

"NOW!" Cal bellows out and everyone roars out as they storm forward and head for the cabin. I'm inches from reaching one of the still glassed windows when a wolf comes storming into the side of me and throws me across the ground.

Most of our pack has changed into their wolves but there are still a few of us who have stayed in our human foam just in case it's needed although right now I wish I was in my wolf foam as I'm pretty sure this bastard wolf has just broken a few of my ribs.

The pain is searing but I manage to pull myself off the ground in time to see the wolf aiming for me again, he's running at me and he's going to do some serious damage when he hits me. Fuck my life!

I close my eyes while taking deep breaths and brace myself for the possibility of death but it doesn't come, instead, I hear a loud powerful roar and open my eyes to see Jack's wolf Taz ripping apart the wolf that attacked me.

He makes quick work of ending the sorry sack of shit's life before looking at me winking and running back into the fight. Fuck I love that man! I shake myself off and ignore the pain in my ribs as I head back for the window.

I pick up a rock that's on the floor and make quick work of using it to break the window. I jump inside being careful not to cut myself on the jarred glass. I look around the old abandoned empty room and my lip curls up in disgust. There's rotten food on the floor in one corner and what looks like someone's toilet in another and it's fucking disgusting.

Noise to my left has me instantly on alert but I relax back down when Jack's beautiful face suddenly appears as he jumps through the same window in nothing but a pair of shorts and looks hot as fuck! Dam get your head out of the gutter Ash.

"You didn't think you were doing this alone did you?" He smirks at me shooting me a wink as both Cal and Liam come through the same window. Cal didn't shift so he's fully dressed but Liam clearly did as he's also only wearing a pair of shorts. I'll give it to him he is a beauty of a man!

"Thank you, guys." I manage to get out past the lump in my throat at the gratitude I feel for all the men in front of me.

"We're family, this is what we do Ashley. Now I've already had men come in here to start taking out any loose ends so we can concentrate on looking for Kelly and Matthew but of course, we must still be alert." Cal quickly gets his words out before heading towards the door.

"Gamma Ashley, after you." He nods my way letting me know he's giving me the lead on this search and fuck do I appreciate it. He doesn't have to do it he is after all the Alpha plus he's not known me for very long so the fact that he's doing this for me shows a huge faith in me and I will gladly take it.

I step up to the door with Jack and Cal lined up behind me while Liam shifts back into his wolf for extra protection, he comes over to me and wedges himself in between Jack and me making Jack chuckle.

I give him a smile and nod showing him I appreciate his protectiveness then take a huge breath and swing open the door ready to take these twats down if needs be.

I swing the door open with a little too much force causing it to bounce off the wall and some of it to break apart. I cringe cursing myself for making that mistake but soon shrug it off, there's fuck all I can do about it now so instead I stand up straight, square out my shoulders and step outside the door taking in my surroundings.

There is no one here not a fucking soul but I can hear the familiar sounds of fighting and wolves dying and I just pray that it isn't any of our men or Alpha Colton's men for that matter. I turn left and quickly make my way down a short corridor where I can see three doors.

The guys follow behind me and we brace ourselves as I storm inside the first room but it's empty. Fuck! I shake the gutting feeling off and make my way to the next door but again I storm the door to find an empty room although this one has some old blankets on the floor and a bucket in the corner so I'm guessing that it's recently been used.

I turn around and head for the third door, this room is darker than the others and I soon realize that there are old torn curtains hanging over the windows and stealing any chance of light coming in here. There is a horrible smell lingering in the air and I gag as I try to stop myself from throwing up.

"Someone's in here, I can smell them." Alfie suddenly chimes in my head giving me some hope.

"Do you know if it's Kelly?"

"I don't think it is but there's someone in here Ash!" He scurries to the back of my head whining and it's got me on edge.

"Alfie just told me that there's someone in here but it's not Kelly, something doesn't feel right guys," I whisper out the words so as not to mind link them because if I do none of us will be able to see and we will be left unprotected.

"Ok guys let's search the room but be careful," Cal whispers back and we slowly separate out. The room is surprisingly big, much bigger than the other two rooms we searched, it also has a bed in the middle of the room so someone could be using it.

My eyes adjust to the darkness pretty quickly thanks to werewolf sight but the clearer the room becomes the sicker I feel. This room seems to be the worst of them all and it's only confirmed when a rat runs across my foot. Great!"

"Guys over here!" Liam's voice carries across the room and I let his voice lead me to him as quickly as I can. I'm soon by his side and swallowing a lump that's stuck in my throat when I see the reason why he called us.
