Alpha Calvin

Holy fuck I wasn't expecting to hear back so soon nor was I expecting to hear this kind of news yet. How the fuck has she sold Kelly already? I had Mac explain to me earlier how it works and even though it's the black market and illegal those involved in it still have rules to follow and set procedures.

And if what he's told me is true then there's no way she has only recently been put up for sale because if she had been then she'd still be stuck in the middle of the process not already advertised and sold,

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking Cal?" Liam's mind link draws my attention away from Mac. "She was put up for sale ages ago wasn't she Liam? Well before Ashley and Matthew left the pack!"

"Yep, she has to have been there's no other explanation."

"What is it Alpha?" I look up to see Jack staring my way anger simmering behind his eyes. "You were growling!" Oh shit, I hadn't even realized that I was doing it.

"Once we leave here come meet me on my floor with Ashley. Both Liam and I have a hunch." He lets me know he'll be there before closing the link and putting his attention back on his mate. "Can I have everyone's attention!" I bellow out in my Alpha tone. The room immediately goes dead quiet and everyone's focus is on me.

"For those who didn't hear Mac just now, there has been an update on Ashley's sister Kelly. As you'll remember I told you not long ago that we had heard that her mother was planning to sell her, well we have just received word that her mother has indeed done that and she has been sold and we have been made aware that her buyer is on the way to collect her!"

By the time I finish speaking I'm growling and snarling, I just can't help it. I'm so fucking angry and all I want to do right now is get Kelly here safe and tear her mother apart!

The room instantly fills with snarls and growls and I know that every single wolf in this room feels the same as me right now. No matter what you don't mess with women and you most definitely don't mess with children!

"I want all warriors who are willing to fight this fight to fill up on food and to be outside the packhouse in 1 hour ready to go. It's a 2-hour ride to Ashley's old pack and we can't risk losing too much time." A chorus of "Yes Alpha" echoes around the room and as always I feel pride when I look out at all of my pack members. "Joseph, I want you to stay here I know that your mate is due to give birth to your baby any day and she needs you right now!" He looks up at me from across the back table with a grateful smile.

"Thank you, Alpha!" I nod and tell everyone to eat up before making my way over to Liam and Mac. "Mac, how long ago did you receive this information?"

"I received the call and came straight to you so maybe a minute or two before I got here."

"Thank you Mac I appreciate your help with this and I owe you a favour. It would be great if you would stick around for a bit longer and keep checking for any updates but if you want to go home I completely understand."

"There's no need to thank me Alpha and you owe me nothing I'm just glad I could help. Alpha I would like to stick around, I have asked Tony to keep me updated if he hears anymore in regards to Kelly, and If you would allow I would like to be there and to fight with you and to help bring Kelly back here."

"That would be great thank you, Mac. Go ahead and eat before we leave and I'll see you outside in one hour." He nods then turns around and walks towards the breakfast table. "Liam I want to keep 200 warriors here to guard the pack while we're gone. Obviously, It's usually Jack's job to deal with this but Ashley needs him right now and I don't want to pull Jack away from him right now."

"Say no more Cal, I've got it." He slaps me on the shoulder before heading back towards the table, and I'm close behind. My appetite has been shot since we had that news but I know that I need to eat before a battle, shifting alone takes an insane amount of energy and so I'll eat for the sake of Kelly. Fuck I hope we get to her in time!

Gamma Jack

The moment the words leave Mac's mouth my head instantly swings to my left to look at my mate and fuck the look on his face feels like a thousand knives stabbing me at once. Hell, I feel pain at hearing the words myself, and yet Kelly is nothing to me I've not even met the girl yet. But it doesn't matter because she is a child and her fucking mother has sold her. How the fuck can this happen? I don't want to even imagine how she'll feel when she finds out nor do I want to think about what her seller has planned for her.

Not that it matters because we will get to her first, there's no way we would let any child go through that never mind my mate's sister. "Ashley." He turns to face me when I call his name but his face is completely blank and he doesn't say a word. "Darling?"

He shakes his head but remains silent. I step towards him and he dives into my arms wrapping his arms around my waist and squeezing the life out of me not that I care.

"We're gonna get her darling, we're gonna bring her home here with us ok?" I hook one single finger under his chin and push his head up so that he can see me. "Ok?" He nods his head but I'm not convinced that he believes me which I can understand but he's about to find out exactly how our pack works.

"Do you trust me?" He pulls back from me to stand himself back up but he puts his hands on my chest keeping us connected.

"Of course I do Jack!"

"Then know that I will personally not stop until we have Kelly and neither will anyone else from this pack!" He doesn't say a word but instead presses a gentle kiss to my lips. "Thank you, Jack!"
