I'm usually a pretty patient guy but this car ride is really testing me. Warrior John is hauing the SUV as fast as he can but still, it's not fast enough for me although I don't think I’d be happy with any amount of speed that we could take right now.

"How are you doing darling?" My whole body is tense and worked up and I know that Jack can feel it. I give him a smile but I know that it doesn't reach my eyes despite my best effort.

He unbuckles his seat belt before leaning over me and unbuckling mine, he swiftly grasps my hips and pulls me onto his lap so that my back is facing the window and my legs are to the side of him. After a little fight, Jack manages to wrap his seat belt around the two of us.

I lean into him and rest my head on his chest then feel his chin come down and rest on top of my head. His hand comes up and starts to run gentle soothing circles onto my back while the tingles from our bond bounce around my body, the combination is heaven and has my body relaxing even if my mind isn't.

"I don't know. I hate that we've had to leave Kelly but I'm also eager to get my hands on Coby and that vindictive bitch!" He gently squeezes my hand, those dam tingles driving me wild and fogging my brain again.

"Kelly's fine baby, she's safe in the pack house with Julie, you know as well as I do that Julie will tear anyone apart to protect that girl." I let out a laugh thinking about how vicious Julie can get over the pack children. "We are going to end those sorry excuses for wolves and then we can get back to Kelly and start our new lives without them ok?" I nod and get rewarded with his beautiful smile.

"How long left Alpha?" Jack asks Cal who is sitting in the front passenger seat next to warrior Jason. I bite back a laugh at the twinge in his jaw at Jack calling him Alpha but he didn't have any choice as there are warriors amongst us and it's the way it has to be done.

"The lane that Ryder said to meet him at is just up the road." Fuck am I relieved to hear that. The SUVs carrying the other group went in a different direction about 20 minutes ago to head for Alpha Titos pack house.

Alpha Tito offered for all of us to arrive there so that we could eat and freshen up before we met with Ryder and his men but checking that we were all ok Cal decided against it and that we would head straight for the forest and for that I'm grateful.

The cool boxes that Luna Lucy, Mary, and Nora filled for us have been a godsend as everyone in our vehicle snacked and filled up on fluids while we were driving and are more than ready to skip Alpha Titos and just get down to business.

We turn off the main road and start slowly trailing down a narrow road, the road is so narrow that the trees overhanging the road are scraping against the SUV. We continue on for a few miles before finally, the end of the lane is in sight and a range of emotions fly through me when I spot Ryder close by with another guy standing next to him although I'm not sure who he is.

I'm relieved that we are finally here but I'm so fucking scared. Scared that somehow Ryder has got this wrong. Scared that my mother won't turn up and more than anything scared that we will somehow fail and all of this would have been for nothing.

The SUV comes to a stop and Ryder starts walking up to us as we all begin climbing out and stretching out our tired limbs. It's been a long journey and because of the supplies that we had in the cool boxes, we haven't had the need to stop although my bladder has been crying out for relief for the last half hour while I've just ignored it.

Cal calls out to us bringing us all into a small huddle with Ryder and who I now recognize as Larry. He's another warrior but I've not had the chance to speak to him too much yet.

"Lockie, where are you?" Cal calls out while we all look around in confusion, the guy was here 30 seconds ago. As Cal goes to call his name a second time he steps out from behind a tree while doing up the zip on his jeans.

"Where have you been?" It's pretty clear where he's been but still, cal makes him say it.

"Little Lockie needed a leak." His chirpy reply has me laughing and my bladder reminding me that I need to do the same thing.

"Little Lockie?" Of course, Liam is the one to pick up on his words and has everyone laughing including Lockie while he gives Liam his middle finger

"And you couldn't have waited?" Cal's trying and failing to be stern as a smirk creeps across his face.

"Nope." Lockie chirps out again while we all lowly laugh.

"I'll be doing the same after we chat," Jamie says to Cal in between laughing, before Cal can say another word a string of agreeing noises echo around us with Jack and I only adding to it.

"Ok ok, that's enough chat about your fucking bladders. Ryder, have there been any new developments since we last spoke?" Cal called him just before we left the packhouse but there wasn't anything new to add, in fact, Coby hadn't left the tunnel for hours.

"No nothing Alpha. the prick hasn't left nor has anyone else arrived," Ryder growls out his chosen name for Coby and I must agree that I like it.
