Gamma Ashley

It’s been 2 days since the witches attacked us and fuck it feels like we’ve been walking through hell. After the witches all cleared out my uncle Joey introduced us to Edwina, it turns out that she’s one extremely powerful witch and is actually the mother of the coven that my mother is a part of which is why she held so much power over them. In wolf terms, she is my mother's Alpha.

I'm still in shock over finding out not just the fact that my mother is a witch but that I apparently have a sister that I never knew about and the sister that I thought I had, the sister that I helped raise wasn't actually my sister. Coby also promised to tell us everything. Apparently, he knows everything and I'll be glad to find out what the fuck is going on but either way, it doesn't change a thing when it comes to Kelly, she will always be my sister, and I will always love and protect her regardless of blood.

Coby is being kept in a cell until we get to speak to him because as much as it appears that he was somehow on our side until we know everything he can't be trusted and I'm not ready to speak to him yet.

The beeping of the machine pulls me out of my thoughts, it's a new sound that I've not heard in the two days since I've been sitting here, and I'm instantly on alert. I reach out and press the red button on the wall and just seconds later the doc comes running into the room and straight to Jack's bed.

After the witches left Cal and I quickly checked Liam and Jack over and to our complete and utter relief they were both still breathing but unconscious. I thought they were dead so I was more than happy to take them unconscious rather than dead.

We got everyone back to the pack as soon as we possibly could and Jack, Liam, Jamie, Sarah, and Tony were put on machines in the hope that their lives could be saved.

Thankfully Jamie and Sarah both woke up last night and are recovering well and Liam woke up this morning, he's a little worse for wear but he's going to be ok and has his mom and Luna Lucy fussing over him as we speak. Jack, however, is still on the machines, and I'm absolutely terrified that I'm going to lose him. The doc has done everything he can for him and says it's down to him now if he wakes up or not.

Unfortunately, we lost several more wolves at the hands of the witches including Cole and it's devastating. We brought all of our fallen warriors home with us including the ones that we lost at the battleground and doc is taking care of them until we arrange to say goodbye to them.

Getting home and finding Kelly still alive and safe with Liam's parents was a massive fucking relief and I must have thanked the moon goddess a thousand times for that. She was also unaware of what had happened or that the woman that was supposed to be looking after her was actually going against her and helping our mom. She knows that Jack's in the hospital but she doesn't know how bad things are right now and unless the worst happens then she doesn't need to know it'll only upset her for nothing.

Right now she believes that Jack hurt his head while fighting and he just needs to rest for a few days in the pack hospital. She has cried worrying about Jack but thankfully members of the pack have been brilliant in helping look after her and entertaining her while I'm here with my mate.

"What's wrong doc?" He looks from the machine to me but doesn't look worried which is a small relief. "Nothing wrong Gamma Ashley. Just a little hiccup in his breathing but nothing out of the ordinary.”

"Any improvements doc?" I turn my head when I hear Cal's voice as he walks through the door with his dad and Ryder. "No, he's still the same, no improvements but not any worse either."

"Thanks, doc." Cal gives him a grateful nod while I look down at my mate's peaceful face. He looks so calm as if he's just taking a nap while I feel like my heart is barely beating. "Yeah thanks, doc." I quickly get the words out. He gives me a smile before leaving the room as Cal and Ryder take the chairs opposite me next to Jack's bed and Cal's dad goes to look out the window. "How are you doing brother?" Cal asks as Ryder looks over at Jack.

"Honestly... I dont know." I shrug my shoulders at a loss of how to explain how I feel inside. "How are you doing Cal?"

He looks surprised by my question making me smile a little. "How am I doing?"

"Yes, how are you doing? He may be my mate but he's also your best friend, I know the love that you two and Liam have for each other is more of brothers and this must be so hard for you."

"Thank you for asking about me Ashley, your right they are both my brothers more than friends and this is killing me but just like Liam, Jack is strong and stubborn and he'll be fine and wake up soon just as Liam has. Plus the guy is way too stubborn to leave you yet." He smiles as he finishes talking making me smile wide knowing that what he says is true.I take hold of Jack's hand as it lays on the bed by his side, I've held it since the moment we got here and have only left go when the doc has been doing his checks. I gently rub my thumb across the back of his hand hoping that somehow the sparks from our bond will help him or even better wake him up. I know it's stupid thinking but hope is all I have right now and I'm not about to let that go.

Gamma Jack

I feel like I'm in a dream, my whole body is aching and my head feels fuzzy as fuck. What the hell is going on? I try to open my eyes but they feel too heavy and so does the rest of my body as I try and fail to move my arms and legs.

Suddenly everything floods my mind and I remember everything that happened at the battleground and with the witches, I remember feeling like I was dying and absolutely terrified of never seeing my mate again.

I decide to focus on my earring as a last resort and soon start to pick up voices "Yes, how are you doing? He may be my mate but he's also your best friend, I know the love that you two and Liam have for each other is more of brothers and this must be so hard for you."

Wait that sounds like Ashley. Fuck is he here with me? Does this mean that he's ok? Oh, goddess if I did die does this mean that he did too? No, I refuse to believe that.

"Thank you for asking about me Ashley, your right they are both my brothers more than friends and this is killing me but just like Liam, Jack is strong and stubborn and he'll be fine and wake up soon just as Liam has. Plus the guy is way too stubborn to leave you yet."

Cal's voice is next to reach my ears and brings me major relief, he's okay and so is my mate but what happened with Liam? Shit, wait if they are alive and I can hear them then surely I am too? I keep trying to open my eyes but still, they remain shut getting me frustrated. I keep listening to what I can and soon hear a mixture of voices including Cal saying goodbye to my mate, at the same time I feel tingles run up my hand and that's all I need to confirm to me that I am somewhat alive and I need to see my mate so I know that he truly is alive as well.

"Jack it's time to wake up now baby. You have napped long enough. It's time to let me see your beautiful eyes." Ashley starts talking to me and just his heartbroken tone alone is enough to hurt my heart. I whimper inside as I feel the loss of the sparks worrying that Ashley is leaving me "Jack so help me if you dont wake up now you will never get your hands on my fine behind again!"

I try to open my eyes again and want to cry with joy when this time they do what I want. I slowly open them blinking as the light in the room invades my eyes but I ignore it the best I can so that I can get to see my beautiful mate.

I slowly look around the room holding in a wince at how stiff and painful my entire body feels. however, all feelings of pain are quickly forgotten when I see the back of my mate as he looks out of the window of what I'm guessing is a hospital room. "Would you really do that to me?"

His head spins around to face me so fast that I wonder how it didn't snap then he practically runs towards me with the most beautiful smile on his face that I have ever seen and I know my own smile is matching his.

"Jack, Jack please tell me I'm not imagining this?" He leans over me taking my hand in his while placing a gentle kiss on my forehead. "Well, that depends on if your gonna keep that fine behind of yours from me?" He lets out a laugh as tears stream down his face. "Once your better you can do whatever you want to my ass." His answer has me laughing then winching as a throbbing pain sears through my head.

"I'll remember that." I give him a wink and I want more than anything to give him a kiss but before I can reach up to him we are interrupted by a knock on the door and then doc steps in and I'm relieved to realize that we are back home on our packlands.

"Gamma Jack it's brilliant to see you awake, how are you feeling?"

"Like I've been run over by a bull." He chuckles along with Ashley as he steps up to my bed.

"That's no surprise." He begins doing a long line of tests on me. "I'm happy with how you are recovering Gamma Jack."

"When can I leave here doc?" Don't get me wrong doc is a great man but there's only one man that I want to be spending time with right now.

"I want to keep you in a little while longer so we can make sure you're ok. Your body has been through a lot but I know that you'll want to be out of here right away so I promise as long as you listen to me I will let you out of here as soon as I can."

I give him a nod agreeing while Ashley comments on how I will be listening making me laugh. Doc leaves the room a couple of minutes later and I finally get blessed with the feeling of my mate's lips on mine and for a moment I'm dragged back to the feeling that I had when I thought my life was over and that I'd never see my mate again. Fuck am I going to make the most of every single day with him.

Shit Liam... Kelly. "Ash, what happened to Liam? Where's Kelly, is she ok? What happened to Hailey?" I'm firing out questions but I can't help myself as the flashback brings me back to the reality of what's happened and what I've missed.
