Gamma Jack

Shit is about to hit the fan and I'm not risking this motherfucker from touching Kelly so while Cal has Alpha Ashton distracted I link Warren the warrior that's currently sitting ready to drive the SUV that has Kelly in it. "Warren I'm going to link Nigel to bring his SUV for us. As soon as he's in the gate, I want you to leave and get Kelly back to the packhouse. Keep her safe until we get there Warren."

"Of course Gamma, I'll protect her with my life." I know he will and so will the other four warriors that are in the car with him. "Nigel you there?"

"Yes, Gamma. Is everything ok?"

"Yes and no. I need you to bring your SUV to us and tell the others to stay on standby but to remain alert, we may need them. Warren is going to leave here when he sees you and head back to the pack before us. Who else is driving?"

"Harry, Thomas, and Smith."

"Ok ask Harry to follow Warren back to the packhouse. Tell him to be alert. Warren has Kelly in the car with him."

"Of course Gamma. I will inform him now and be straight with you."

I close the link and focus back on my surroundings and from the conversation that I can hear happening between Cal and Alpha Ashton it looks like I turned back just in time. "So Alpha Ashton, what brings you here?"

"I'm here to collect something and you Alpha Calvin, may I ask why you are here?"

"I am here also to collect something." As they continue to talk I can faintly hear the noise of a vehicle approaching that I assume is Nigel and everyone around me soon picks up on it.

"Who's that?" Alpha Roland asks looking slightly nervous. "It's just our other vehicle that's all Alpha Roland, nothing to worry about." I keep my tone calm while I talk to him as I wait for Warren to get Kelly out of here. The moment Nigel is clear through the gate Warren takes off and picks up speed to get out of the gates before they close.

"NOOO!" The bitch screams out in the most dramatic way possible. I swear she would put some actresses to shame with her acting skills.

"What's going on?" Alpha Ashton quickly asks as he looks between Hailey and the gate that Warren just drove through. "KELLY'S IN THAT CAR!" She screeches out.

"Jesus christ women stop screaming. I fear for your foundation when it cracks and my fucking ears feel like they are bleeding!" Ashley shouts out as he cringes and rubs his ears. He's not wrong on the bleeding ears thing. "Ok?" Alpha Ashton asks as he looks completely confused while I look behind me when I hear Liam laughing.

I raise an eyebrow and give him a questioning look. "Ashley... I fear for your foundation-" He doesn't even finish his sentence before he laughs his ass off again and after quickly looking around I can see smirks on both Calvin's and Ashley's's faces and I know I'm wearing my own grin. The SUV that Nigel is driving slowly comes to a stop right beside us and the doors slowly open. I know the vehicle is full of warriors but if needed we can cram in there to get home.

"Let's get out of here. This isn't over by a long straw but I think we should get out now so we can prepare for what's to come." Cal's mindlink must reach all of us as I see both Liam and Ashley slowly move toward the SUV. "Now!" Cal shouts out and we all bolt for the SUV. Nigel takes off before the doors are even shut and luckily manages to get out through the gate before it can be locked.

There is one free seat up front next to Ryan and one free seat next to Colby in the front row. Cal takes the seat upfront while Liam tells me to take the free seat next to Colby while the guys in the row behind us all squash up and fit him in with them. I grab Ashley and pull him down sideways onto my lap with his back leaning against the window.

We all turn our heads back toward the direction we are driving away from when we hear Hailey's screeching and bellowing voice as she tries to run after the car. "This isn't over." Ashley lowly whispers as he shakes his head with sadness. "I dont know if it is or isn't. They could decide that losing their lives isn't worth the fight or they could be dumbasses and decide to risk war. I'm not an Alpha who runs from shit but we're doing this to make sure we can be prepared and get all of our ducks in a row. If they want a war then a war they will get but I promise you they will not get their hands on Kelly!" Cal practically growls out the words from the front of the car.

"Thank you for the help Alpha. It means more than you'll ever know. Thank you all of you." He looks around at all the guys with nothing but gratitude. "There's no need to thank me, Ashley, you are family and so is Kelly and we look after our family."

We quickly drive past the other SUVs we have had on standby and see that they are ready to follow us. I'm guessing Cal linked them to tell them that we were on our way. They quickly form a line behind us and follow us through the narrow lane.

"Does anyone know how Kelly's doing?" Ashley's worried voice brings my attention back to him. "I'm sure she's fine darling."

"I hope so, Jack." He looks sad and it tugs at my heart. I dig into my pocket and pull out my cell before quickly dialing Nathen's number and pressing the loudspeaker button. Nathan is one of the warriors that's in the SUV with Kelly and hopefully, he has his cell

with him.

"Hello, Gamma Jack."

"Hi Nathen, How's Kelly doing?"

"She's ok Gamma. She's still a little nervous but not as much as she first was. Warren has put on Disney songs and he's singing all the songs with her." He laughs at the end of his sentence and I'm relieved to feel Ashley slightly relax. "Ashley is that you?" Suddenly the sweet voice of Kelly comes through the phone and has Ashley beaming right away.

"Yes, it's me, baby girl. Are you ok?"

"Yes I'm ok but I miss you. Where are you?"

"I miss you too baby but I'll see you soon. I am in another SUV but I'm not far behind you. Are you having a nice time with the warriors?"

"Yes they are funny, I like Warren he sings songs with me."

"How can I not, I love singing Disney songs!" Warren's bubbly reply rings out through the phone making us all chuckle. I'm not surprised at his behavior, he has two pups himself and he's one incredible dad.

"Nathen I'm hungry," Kelly says although she almost sounds hesitant as she speaks which I dont like but I get it. She doesn't know the men yet but if she did she'd realize that they will give her anything that she wants, no questions asked. "Well, Miss Kelly we can't be having that now can we?"

"There's a diner about 10 minutes up the road should we stop there for a break and food Alpha?" Warren's voice again comes through the phone. "Yes, that would be perfect. Text me the name of the diner once you get there and we'll meet you there."

"Of course Alpha." I can feel Ashley practically bouncing with excitement on my lap and I know it's because hes going to see Kelly sooner than planned. "You hear that baby girl? I'll be seeing you soon."

"Yay!" She chimes through the cell before she suddenly starts bellowing out another song with Warren, and we quickly say our goodbyes and head to meet them.

"Feel better baby?" Ashley turns his head to face me when I ask him and gently places a kiss on my lips. "So much better, thank you, Jack." He kisses me again before leaning into me more and resting his head under my chin.

We both go quiet and I spend the next few minutes looking down at my mate. He may be smaller than the average-sized wolf for his rank but it's moments like this that make me glad for it because being able to hold him and have him safe in my arms is the best

feeling ever.

Dont get me wrong even if he was of the average size it still wouldn't stop me from doing this but I can only imagine how hard that would be, there would defiantly be a lot of legs and arms flying around the place.

Everyone in the SUV remains quiet as we all take some time to enjoy the peace of this moment and enjoy the view that's passing us by as we make our way to the diner.
