After what feels like forever we pull into a small car park and head into the even smaller diner that's in front of us. The moment I open the door I hear Kelly's voice as she excitedly calls my name while running my way. As soon as she's close enough she lunges into my arms and I squeeze her properly harder than I should but I can't help it, there was a chance that I'd never see her again and I never want to forget this feeling or this moment.

"Ashley I missed you!" She chimes out as she wraps her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist with an iron grip. "I missed you too baby girl." I place a kiss on her forehead and I silently thank the goddess for helping us get to her before she was taken. "Where is Jack?" She suddenly asks with a beaming smile on her face.

"He's outside talking to Alpha Calvin but he'll be in soon. Why?"

"I want to see him... I like him." She shyly chimes out and fuck does my heart skip a beat when I hear this. To know that she likes my mate is the best thing that I could wish for because they are two of the most important people in my life. Before my next words can leave my mouth I hear the door to the diner open again and I smell my mate before I see him. He soon stops by the side of us and Kelly hides her face in my neck while Jack gives me a questioning look. I decide to link him quickly.

"She just asked where you are. I said you were outside with Calvin and asked her why she wanted to know and she said that she wants to see you because she likes you. I think she's gone all shy." I chuckle out the last part thinking of how cute she is when she goes shy. His beaming smile makes my heart rate speed up. "Ashley, you haven't seen princess Kelly anywhere, have you? I can't find her but I'd like to see her again." He suddenly says out loud in a fun tone.

"No, I don't think I have sorry Jack. Maybe she went home?" As I say this so Kelly's head shoots out from my neck and she looks at me with a cute smile. "I'm here silly." I pretend to not have heard her as Jack starts calling out her name in a sing-song tone.

"Kelly. Kelly are you here?" I bite back the laugh that's bubbling in my throat as he starts to look around the diner while still calling out her name.

"Jack I'm here silly!" She shouts out giggling and he jumps acting surprised and places his hand over his heart. "Oh lordy, you frightened me then princess Kelly. Where have you been? I've been calling you?" She laughs out again while smiling wide. "I've been here Jack, I was calling you!" She shouts out. "Oh silly me. I didn't see or hear you. I thought you had left then without seeing me first."

"No silly." She looks between Jack and me and then suddenly holds out her hands to Jack who quickly comes to my side and scoops her out of my arms, and settles her on his hip. "You abandoned me for Jack, really Kelly?" I fake a pout but she knows me too well and just laughs at me. "No, I still love you, Ashley," I swear this girl melts my heart.

"I love you too baby. Now shall we get some food?" She nods her head and her laugh rings out across the diner when Jack suddenly starts running for a booth with her in his arms.

2 hours later and everyone is fed and we are back on the road. Kelly wanted to come with Jack and me so some of the warriors switched around in the SUVs and now the three of us have seats. Kelly is sitting in the middle of Jack and me and within ten minutes of us leaving she is peacefully sleeping cuddled into Jack's arm. "Man she is a sweetheart," Jack whispers to me as he stares down at Kelly.

"She has been since the day she was born. God, Jack I can't imagine what would have happened if we hadn't gotten to her on time." He takes my hand and gives it a gentle squeeze. "That was never going to happen, darling. She doesn't belong anywhere else."

"I know but still..."

"But still nothing baby. She's safe and that's all that matters. She's an incredible little girl and she's going to be well-loved and well-looked after."

"It amazes me how she turned out so sweet with that bitch that we have for a mother."

"You both did baby and you both got the small gene too didn't you?" He shoots me a wink. "Haha yeah we did, I don't know how but I don't care she's perfect the size she is."

"So are you darling." He carefully leans towards me and I quickly meet him and we share a short but sweet kiss, hell I'm so in love with his man!

The rest of the journey seems to fly by and before we know it we are pulling up outside of the packhouse. I look down at a still-sleeping Kelly and slowly start to wake her up.

The door to the SUV is opened and everyone starts getting out stretching and yawning. It's been a long day and I know we're all fucked.

"I won't keep you away from your beds for longer than necessary men. I know everyone is tired but I just wanted to thank you for all your work today. Everyone head in for the night and we'll have a meeting tomorrow to talk through everything." Cal bellows out.

All the warriors nod their respect to Cal before they slowly disappear out of sight. Cal, Liam, Jack, and I stand by the SUV and watch as Kelly finally starts to wake up.

"How was your nap baby?" I ask her as she stretches out and then puts her arms out for me to pick her up. A movement to my left catches my eye and I quickly spot my dad as he starts to come down the packhouse steps and toward us.

I haven't told Kelly that he's here yet. I wanted to surprise her plus I don't know what she knows about my dad. I don't know if she believes that he's run away or that he's dead. With our bitch of a mother it's hard to say. I lean down to Kelly's ear and softly whisper to her "I have a surprise for you baby. She's instantly beaming and asking what it is but instead of telling her I turn her around and watch as her face goes from confused to beaming when she notices my dad heading towards her.

"DADDY!" She screams out as she wiggles trying to get out of my arms. I slowly put her down on the floor and she runs with all she has to get to my dad. Once she gets close he gets down on his hunches and opens his arms to her with a matching beaming smile. She bolts toward him so fast that when she finally reaches him she crashes into him and he falls back onto the ground with her on top of him.

I can hear them talking, laughing, and crying and it brings on my tears. When we were in the woods and my dad died I never thought I'd get to see this again, hell I didn't know if I'd ever get to see my sister again either and now here we are all together once again without my mother's vindictive ways looming over us.

Of course, I know that she's not going to let this go no matter how hard I wish for it. I also know that even if Jack does pay her the money for Kelly that she'll still come for her because she wants more than just money. She wants money and power and the sick bitch is willing to sell her own daughter to get it. Another thing that's been nagging at me is why is this Alpha Ashton willing to pay so much for Kelly. From what I've been told he has a few child brides and I've also learned that the black market always has kids up for sale and at much lower prices.
