Gamma Jack

No one wastes a second in running into the battle that is now well and truly underway. I quickly lose sight of my mate but I know that he's more than capable of looking after himself in fact, just from the little bit that I have seen in training alone I know that he's a fucking demon when he needs to be.

I take out two wolves within the first few minutes of the battle starting and soon find myself toe to toe with Alpha Ashton's Gamma. I can't remember his name but I do know that he's a fucking asshat.

He begins circling me as if he's intimidating me but it just amuses me to no end. He lets out a growl before lunching for me, unfortunately for him he's too slow and I saw the move coming before he had even thought about doing it. I step to my left and duck low resulting in him jumping right over me and crashing into the ground with a violent thud.

I spin around and dive for his back before he has time to get up from the ground. I hock my claws into his shoulder blades causing a painful growl to fill the air while I lower my head and sink my teeth into his neck.

I can taste blood in my mouth as I start to shake hard while he thrashes around underneath me as he tries to buck me off him. I sink my teeth into his neck further as I get ready to end him when suddenly a heavy weight lands on my back causing me to lose momentum and also my grip on his neck, I crash down to the ground beside the prick of a Gamma while another wolf now lays on top of him.

Thankfully he can't move from under the dead weight of the wolf but I can and I'm quick to get off the ground. I quickly realize that the wolf that's on top of him is dead and I waste no time in gripping him by one of his legs and flinging him across the forest.

I jump back onto the Gamma's back but before I can get my teeth around his throat again another wolf crashes into me throwing me off him, I land on the ground with a loud thud just seconds before the idiot that hit me of the Gamma lands on top of me and instantly tries to get to my neck.

I growl out loud as Taz loses his shit and I begin snapping at him trying to get at his neck but I can't reach and it's fucking me off. The Gamma that I was fighting with just moments ago gets himself up off the ground, his wolf is tall I'll give him that but he's a shit fighter, if he's this shit at fighting in his wolf form then I'd hate to imagine him in his human form.

He starts heading towards me and I know that I need to get this knob off of me and up off the ground before he reaches me or between the two of them, there's a chance that I could be royally screwed. He gets closer to me while I continue to try and reach this dicks throat while also trying to buck myself up at the same time.

As the Gamma comes close to reaching me I watch as he's knocked off his feet by another wolf and at the same time the knobhead that's on top of me is pulled off me and has his throat torn out by another wolf that I quickly recognize as one of our warriors.

I give him a nod of graduate that he quickly returns before he heads back into the fight and I head in the direction that I saw the Gamma flying. I soon find him being pinned to the floor by one of Alpha Tito's wolves as he snarls and growls at the Gamma.

I come to the side of him and he turns to face me before looking back at the Gamma that he has pinned below him. He lets him go stepping back quick enough for me to take over his position before the Gamma can get up and he growls out in frustration causing both me and Taz to laugh in my head.

I've spent long enough on this asshole so waste no time in keeping him pinned down and biting down on his neck hard enough to rip it out in seconds, his pained growl as he dies is satisfying to my ear as I step off of him and move away from his lifeless body.

I start heading back toward the fight when an earth-shattering growl covers the entire forest and brings the entire fight to a stop. That sound is the sound of an Alpha's death and I'm instantly relieved when I realize that it's not Cal, as our Alpha we would feel his death but I dont.

Of course, that means it's either Alpha Ashton or Alpha Tito. I run towards where I last remember seeing Cal along with several other wolves to find him in his human form standing over a body with its heart torn out. I get close enough to see that it's Alpha Ashton and I'm fucking relieved.

"Jack!" I turn around with a beaming smile when I hear my mate calling my name.

"Oh thank fuck!" I breathe out as he runs towards me in his human form and wraps his arms around me.

"Who's next in line to take over as Alpha in Alpha Ashton's place?" Cal's straight down to business which I'm glad of. I take Ashley's hand and pull him in close as we walk to Cal's side.

"I am!" A voice shouts out. We all look straight ahead as the crowd starts to part and a huge guy walks towards us completely ass naked. He's tall and wide and I'm thrown off when I realize that he's not of Beta or Gamma blood, so who the fuck is he?

"Who are you?" Cal asks his strong Alpha tone bouncing off the trees around us.

"I'm Craig, I am... I was Alpha Ashton's Beta."

"Where's his Gamma?"

"I killed him." I chime out, not even sorry.

"I dont believe that you were his Beta, I sense you hold a different rank than a Beta, possibly higher?" It's as if Cal has taken the words right out of my mouth.

"I was his Beta but your right, I'm not of Beta blood. Alpha Ashton was my older brother, and Gamma Tristan was my younger brother, we were brothers and run the pack as a family." To have Alpha brothers run a pack as the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma is unusual but not unheard of.

“I’m sorry about your brother but I had no choice.” I voice out. I’m not sorry that he’s dead, it was him or me and I’m not ready to die but I am sorry that he lost his brother.

“My deepest condolences on your brother and Alpha but again I didn’t have a choice.” Cal grounds out sounding sincere, knowing Cal like I do I know he’s properly thinking and feeling the same as me.

"I appreciate your condolences but they aren’t needed. My brothers were pricks and sick sick men and I for one am glad that they are gone!" The anger in his voice surprises me as does his response. "I never agreed with what they were doing but I had no choice but to go along with it or my ass would have been Rogue but please believe me when I say I never had a hand in anything they did, I stayed in the background hoping that one day they would be taken out."

"We dont want this fight but we will continue it if you won't allow us to take those children with us so that we can return them to their families, we also want Coby." Cal's no-nonsense tone has us all instantly back on alert and ready for attack.

"I dont want the children Alpha Calvin, in fact, I would like to help you to return them to their loved ones. I also dont want Coby, I've had a strange feeling about him since the moment I met him, and I'm happy not to have to deal with him."

"Oh, he will be dealt with!" Cal growls out.

"Would anyone here like to challenge Beta Craig for the Alpha title?" Cal booms out across the crowd of wolves. No one makes a sound or move toward us and I'm glad for that, the quicker we can get this shit done the sooner we can get those children away from here.

"Then please join me in welcoming your new Alpha... Alpha Craig!" Cal bellows out and the whole forest erupts into cheers for him despite the losses we have had here today I can only imagine that this is a good turnout for them.

Once the noise stops my mate's voice has me putting my attention on him "What about the warriors that agreed with Ashton's behavior?"

"Oh, I can assure you that they will be dealt with Gamma Ashley. I will be appointing a new Beta and Gamma that I know I can trust and we will be finding them. They will pay!" His tone alone is enough to squash any worries that I may have and I can see from the looks that both my mate and Cal are giving him that they think the same.

"Ok, Ashley and Jack, you two head over to Beta Liam and help him with the children. They still haven't left the tunnel yet and I'm concerned." We both nod and head off not wanting to waste another moment while Cal continues to get things organized alongside the new Alpha Craig.

We quickly reach the tunnel door and give Larry a respectable nod as he lets us inside, the place is pretty dark and cold, and imagining children being kept in here is just heartbreaking. We continue down a long corridor and soon enough the sound of voices reaches our ears.

"Beta Liam, someone is coming!" We hear Ryder shout out to Liam, he can clearly smell us but has no idea who we are yet.

"Who's there?" Liam's Beta tone booms down the corridor causing us to chuckle low.

"Now is that any way to speak to me, baby boy!" Ashley shouts back in his flirtatious tone. chuckles and laughs sound out down the corridor just before Liam's face comes into view.

"Of course not, forgive me beautiful?"

Ashley shrugs his shoulders "I guess."

"I'm right here," I grunt out not bothered in the slightest but just enjoying joining in.

"I love you more baby dont worry." My mate pecks me on the lips.

"Why do these conversations always happen at the wrong times," Liam grunts.

"Huh?" Both Ash and I ask at the same time.

"A story for later, but your gonna like it." Liam smiles. "Right would you guys like to meet the children?"

"You found them?"

"Yep them and Coby."

"Then why the fuck are we still standing here?" Ash grunts.

"Before we go to them you need to know that I found someone with them who was protecting them, he was waiting for us to arrive to save them. In fact, he was hoping that we would get here before Alpha Ashton came back."

"Who is it?"

"You need to see for yourselves." He turns away from us and starts walking back down the corridor, we follow close behind him eager to see who it is, and quickly reach a massive steel door. Liam knocks on it and seconds later it opens and we are greeted with none other than fucking Coby and a bunch of children standing behind him.
