"Don't be nervous babe they are going to love you!" We’re on our way to Calvin's office so that Ashley can officially meet both him and Liam and the poor guy is shitting himself but he has no need to they are going to love him. After he broke down earlier, we ended up sharing our first kiss and it was the best experience of my entire fucking life! It took everything in me not to take it further and I think Ashley felt the same.

Trust me I wanted to go further just the thought of having all of him makes me giddy but he's had a hell of a day and I don't want to rush him nor do I want him to do anything because of his emotions and then regret it later if there's one thing in life that I don't want him to regret then that's our first time together.

Before I can knock on the door Calvin shouts for us to come in and I gently squeeze Ashley's hand to try and reassure him before we step inside. He walks behind me and I think he's trying to hide in a sense but I'm not having any of that so I pull him so that he's at my side and lead him over to Cal's desk. "Alpha Calvin, this is my mate, Ashley." I'm beaming as I speak to Cal and he's quick to return the smile our way.

"It's a pleasure to officially meet you, Ashley." He smiles at Ashley and holds out his hand which Ashley quickly takes and returns his handshake.

"Please have a seat." Calvin points to the chairs in front of his desk but before we can sit down the door to the office opens and in walks a rough-looking Liam.

"Beta Liam, this is my mate, Ashley!" Liam smiles brightly at my mate as he comes to stand in front of us. "It's great to finally meet you properly Ashley!" He steps forward and Ashley extends his hand for a shake but Liam shoos it away and pulls Ashley in for a hug. "We are going to get on good you and I, I can feel it and you less of the Beta dickhead!"

He points at me while finishing the end of his sentence and I burst out laughing along with Calvin and then I feel myself go giddy as Ashly starts laughing, a real laugh and it's the best sound that I have ever heard. Before we can sit down the door opens again and in walks both Calvin's and Liam's parents. "When did I send out the party invitations?" I turn to look at the parents when a hand catches my view before it collides with my head.

"Why?" I whine out and everyone around me is quick to laugh including my own mate, dam he's lucky he's fucking cute! "Because you were being rude!" Lucy Cal's mom answers me all while chuckling and I can't hold back my own laugh anymore all while rubbing my poor head. "But why the head? I've already got the hangover of the year!" I'm whining like a 4-year-old but I don't care.

"I know." She sings out, the woman knew exactly what she was doing. "You're lucky I love you, women!" I look up and see that Ashley is still laughing away and I know I'll never forget this moment, the moment I first saw my mate look happy and relaxed.

Everyone starts sitting down but there are not enough chairs for everyone so Michael pulls Luna Lucy onto his lap and at the same time I take Ashley's hand and pull him towards me.

"Come here, darling." He looks around the room with a shy smile but he doesn't need to be shy not around these people. This is new to him, but he'll soon learn this for himself. Within just a few minutes of talking both moms are looking at him with the same loving mom smiles that we all get and I know that they are already considering him one of their own and I'm extremely grateful to them.

"Ashley, can I ask you something?" Liam's dad Michael talks gently to my mate and that along with the look on his face instantly has my senses peak but Ashley just nods his head with a gentle smile. "Ashley, what is your ranking? I'm sensing that you are of a higher ranking but I can't figure out what."

"I was the future Beta at my old pack." It suddenly clicks with me and I think I know where he's going with this question but I remain silent and wait for him to carry on.

"That makes sense but..."

"You're wondering about my size, right?" Ashley shoots out the question but he doesn't seem offended or annoyed and I'm starting to see an easy-going side to him that I really fucking like. "I am but I don't want to impose if it's personal."

"It's fine honestly, the truth is I don't know why I'm so small. I've always trained with the others as normal and done all the right things to build myself up but I just never seem to get any taller or wider. The doc back at Red Ridge did loads of tests on me too but he could never find anything wrong with me."

"There isn't anything wrong with you!" I quickly shout out; this man is absolutely perfect! He gives me a gentle smile that makes my heart tug and I know that I'm already falling for this man hook, line, and sinker. How the fuck can these feelings come so quickly?

"For a long time, I felt that there was something wrong with me but I've been working on it for the last few years with the help of Coby." The moment he mentions another man's name a growl rips from my chest. "Who's Coby?" I practically growl the words out but I just can't seem to control myself. "He's my friend... Well, he was my friend." The moment I see that heartbroken look back on his face as he puts his face in his hands, I forget everything that's going on including my anger, and gently pull his hands away from his face while mentally cursing myself.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry darling I didn't mean for that to happen and I defiantly didn't want to upset you. I guess Taz got a little pissed at you mentioning another man, he's a tad overdramatic." My eyes roll as I finish my sentence but once I see a small smile appear on Ashley's face, I'm glad I have done it, if me rolling my eyes amuses him then consider me an eye-rolling expert from here on out. He nods assuring me everything is fine and the whole room falls into more chatter while I find myself staying quiet and just admiring this man that's sitting in my lap. I don't know much yet but I know that he's not had an easy time lately and he's also going to need to grieve for his dad but one thing I do know is that the moon goddess gave him to me.

He's made for me and I for him and I'm going to spend every single day of my life looking after him, protecting him, loving him, and ensuring that he has the best possible life.

Ashley

When we were on our way to Alpha Calvin's office earlier today, I was shitting myself, the thought of meeting more people to just give me hell terrified me but I couldn't have been more wrong. Jack told me that everyone's a family here and it didn't take me long to see that he really was telling the truth. Everyone was so welcoming and kind and by the time we left his office, it felt like I had known them forever, that I had lived here forever and I quickly found myself looking forward to a future here with my mate and with this pack.

After we left the Alpha's office Jack took me on a tour of the packhouse and the lands and hell this place is huge and every single person that we spoke to was lovely.

Jack introduced me to a lot of people but I'd be lying if I said I could remember all of their names but I'm going to work on that. "Ashley your dad's ready if you'd like to go and see him?" We've just left the training grounds and the moment Jack says those words to me I feel my blood run cold and not because that reality hits me again because that's not left me since he died this morning.

Jack must sense something as he cups my cheek and lightly strokes my cheek with his thumb "We don't have to go yet If you don't want to darling there's no rush."

"No, it's not that..."

"Then what is it?" He's being so gentle and loving towards me and already after just a few hours, I know that this man is going to become my world very quickly. "I guess it just hit me that I've lost everyone, my dad, my sister, my best friends, and even my pack. I'm a Rouge without a cent to my name." The reality of it all is a hard pill to swallow.

"Yes, you've lost your family, friends, and even your pack but you're not alone, you have me and this pack and you'll soon have new friends and I know it may not be the same but here you'll be in a pack where your accepted for who you are and not judged."

I watch as worry graces his beautiful face and wonder what he was thinking and luckily for me, he seems to realize this as he continues to talk. "Have you changed your mind about accepting me? Accepting us? Have you changed your mind about this pack?" Is he kidding me? “No of course I haven't changed my mind about you, why would I?”

"Well, you were meant to be of a higher ranking, a Beta but here you won't be you'll be classed as lower as my Gamma mate." Again, is he serious? "Baby boy I don't care about ranks or status, the same as I wouldn't care if you were a Rogue, I'd always want you." His face instantly breaks out into the most beautiful smile that I have ever seen on someone's face before. He stares at me but doesn't say anything instead he leans into me and places a single gentle kiss on my lips so sweet it causes a shiver to run down my spine.

"What's your full name baby?" He looks into my eyes as he asks me and I'm fucking swooning. "Ashley Mathew Harris."

"Ashley Mathew Harris, do you accept me Jack Jason Michealson as your mate?"

The more he talks the more I'm beaming "I do, do you Jack Jason Michealson accept me, Ashley Matthew Harris, as your mate?"

"Good lord I do!" He breathes out before pulling me into the most mouthwatering kiss of my goddam life! He pulls away once we both need some air but I don't miss the flicker of black in his eyes and I'm sure my own eyes are showing the same.

"Would you like to go and see your dad now darling? You can go on your own if you would like the privacy?"

"Yes, I want to see him," I answer his last question by taking hold of his hand and pulling him along with me and I don't miss his smile. I've doubted his want for me more than once today but not anymore.
