Just as I'm about to get my paws on my man we get interrupted but I can't really complain as Alpha Calvin has done nothing but help me since he met me and if he needs us then I'm more than willing to go to him. We make quick work of getting dressed and I hear a chuckle leave my mate's mouth and quickly realize that he's caught me readjusting my raging hard-on. We quickly arrive at the Alpha's office and step inside to find him sitting behind his desk with Beta Liam sitting next to him and I notice a man and woman sitting over on the couches.

"Gamma Jacck!" I look to my left when I hear a sweet voice call Jack's name to see a little girl run towards him and jump at him causing him to laugh and catch her.

"Hey, Jane, how are you doing princess?" Jack chimes with a huge smile on his face. It's a sweet thing to see but at the same time it causes a tug at my heart as I think about Kelly but I don't want to bring down this moment so I push my pain aside and take in how good Jack is with this little girl. "I'm ok, I'm colouring." She sings out and it's hard not to smile at her cuteness. She leans close to Jack's ear, and whatever she says to Jack causes a huge smile to cover his face. "This is my mate Ashley," He tells her and I'm fucking swooning from just hearing those words. She looks at me with a shy smile before she gives me a little wave "Hi Gamma Ashley."

"Hi Jane, it's very nice to meet you, little lady." Her returning smile is so dammed cute that I want to squeeze her cheeks. When the fuck did I turn into an old lady who wants to squeeze children's cheeks? "So how about you get back to your colouring while we talk to Alpha and then we can come and see it before we leave yes?" Jane nods yes to Jack's question just before she jumps down from his arms and we turn our attention back to the Alpha.

"Hey Zack, Kat. What's going on guys?" Jack steps up to them shaking hands with Zack and then placing a kiss on Kat's cheek which causes Zack to let out a low growl before apologising and laughing. Werewolves are very possessive of their mates even when they know that someone is no danger to them or doesn't sexually want them, there's no controlling it but you just handle it the best you can. Jack quickly introduces me and as soon as they finish welcoming me to the pack Calvin calls out to us but the look on his face grabs both of our attention straight away causing us to take a seat in front of his desk and give him our full attention.

Gamma Jack

Holy mother fucking shit balls this is insane! How the fuck has Jane done this? I'd love to call bullshit on this but honestly, it's all lining up to well for it to be a coincidence. I turn my attention to Ashley and he looks as lost as I feel, he's looking at Jane but I don't even think he realizes it. "You ok Ash?" Liam's voice brings me back to the present as he tries to get Ashley's attention but he's still lost in his own head.

I call out to him but still, there's nothing so I cup his cheek in the palm of my hand and guide him so that he's facing me as I call out to him again. His eyes flicker and finally, he seems to snap out of where ever his brain took him to. "Sorry," He whispers as he shakes his head and then gives me a gentle smile. "I don't understand. How could this happen?"

"Jane's parents suspect that she could have some magical powers," Calvin answers his tone calm and gentle towards my mate and I'm quick to send him an appreciative nod.

"But how, I mean your both werewolf right?" I ask Zack as he and Kat move over to sit closer to us. I'm guessing so Jane doesn't hear our conversation., "We are but... Well, my grandmother was a witch, my granddad a werewolf then my mom and dad were both werewolves and my brother and I are werewolves so we all assumed that the witch part of my grandmother ended with her but now I'm thinking that maybe it's skipped a couple of generations and has resurfaced with Jane." Kat takes a deep breath while briefly looking at Jane as she counties to colour away without a worry.

"Can that even happen? Can a witch gene skip generations?" Liam asks the question that's on the tip of my tongue. "I'm not sure but it's the only thing that makes sense right now." Kat answers. "My grandmother is still alive she lives at the black viper pack up north, I could contact her and ask her advice on this if that would help?"

"That would be great Kat. If she confirms that this can happen I'd like you to ask her if she would be willing to have a phone conversation with all of us to help us understand." I'm glad Calvin's brain is working because right now mine ain't.

"Of course Alpha." We talk for a little while longer before Zack and Kat get ready to leave so that Kat can contact her grandmother and we can hopefully get some answers. "Gamma Jack!" Jane calls out just before she leaves the office. She runs over to us and shows him a picture with a shy look on her face. "I made this for you and Gamma Ashley," Both Jack and I are instantly beaming at her which seems to help cure her shyness.

"That's you Gamma Jack and that's Gamma Ashley and that's me!"

She points at the different stick figures that she's coloured in and I'd be lying if I said that this gesture from a little girl who doesn't even know me but accepts me regardless doesn't warm my heart. We thank her after Jack tells her that the picture will go on his fridge then she runs to Zack and takes his hand before they leave the office and we all sit in silence as we try to make sense of everything.

Ashley

After 30 minutes we decide to postpone another meeting until we hear back from kat and Zack and I decide to go and check in on my dad and get him to join us for breakfast. "Before we go to get your dad there's someone that I would like you to meet." Jack seems slightly nervous when he talks to me which has me confused but I remain quiet while he figures out his next words. "I'd like you to meet Nora."

"Who's Nora?"

"She's an Omega here but in all honestly she has been like a second mother to me since I was 10 years old since my parents died." I wish I could say that I'm shocked by his admission but the truth is I'm not. I meet both Calvin and Liam's parents yesterday and once I realised Jack's parents weren't coming I had a feeling they weren't with us anymore but decided to let him come to me when he was ready.

"I'm so sorry baby, I can't imagine how it must have felt to lose your parents so young. I don't want you to talk about what happened unless you want to baby. I don't want you to feel like you have to tell me anything but I'm here whenever you want to talk," He graces me with his beautiful smile before leaning down a little and placing a gentle kiss on my lips "Thank you, darling. I will tell you about them... soon." I take his hand and give it a gentle squeeze.

"So Nora?" I ask. His smile grows even wider at the mention of her name and at the same time gives me butterflies."Nora was good friends with my mom, she was older than her and was more like a mother figure to her when she moved here to be with my dad. Anyway, when they died I was only 10 years old and didn't have any other family here, both the Alpha and Beta families offered me a home with them but then Nora came along and asked if she could raise me and it's been one fun crazy ride ever since!"

He guides me across the parklands as he continues to beam while talking about her. "It had felt like my world had ended when I lost my parents but between Nora, our previous Alpha and previous Beta I never went without anything." My heart hurts to think of him losing his parents so young but I'm glad to know that he was well looked after and he doesn't need to tell me how much he's loved because it's clear to see and I'm sure it will be the same with Nora. We stop outside a cute little house in the centre of the parklands and Jack opens up the door while pulling me along. "Nora!"He calls out and I swear I hear the most cutest voice call out to him.
