I swear right now life is one shit show after another, when the fuck will we get a break? "I'm sorry you want to do what? I look around the room and see my men looking just as shocked as me right now.

"With your permission, I would like to wipe the memories of the attack on your men that way there is no chance that they will remember them and no chance of anyone getting any information out of them."

"My men wouldn't just go spilling that kind of information not once I've spoken to them anyway." I'm slightly pissed that she would think that and it's not helping her case here.

"Oh, Alpha Calvin I am not suggesting that, not in the slightest. What I mean to say is if someone was to find out a member of your pack knows about someone that they want to find... Well, let's just say that they could find a very creative way of getting the information out of your men and that's not what any of us want."

"How do we know that we can trust you? I dont mean any offense to you Edwina and I think I can speak for us all when I say that we more than appreciate what you have done for us but you're asking us to allow you to wipe our memories which means we will have no control over ourselves and you could do anything." Liam's question right now is why he's my Beta.

"I understand your worries Beta Liam and with that in mind, I have brought some friends of mine here with me today who I think will be able to help settle your mind. They are outside waiting in the car if you would like to meet them?"

"I won't have anyone in here without me seeing who it is first but I'm happy to step outside and meet these friends of yours." I'd be lying if I said my interest wasn't peaked and I'm pretty sure that I can trust Edwina but still I have to consider the safety of my whole pack and I'm not having someone I dont know coming in here without me checking them out first.

She happily agrees which helps ease some of my concern as I stand up and before I can even reach my office door, Liam, Jack, Ashley, Joey, and Jackie are right behind me ready for anything that could happen. Of course, I knew that my men would be right behind me, but that Joey and Jackie are also doing the same without anyone asking says a lot about them.

We reach the pack house doors and step outside just as Ryder and Smithy appear out of the forest and head towards us and I dont even need to ask what they are doing here, I already know that Liam has linked them for backup.

We follow Edwina as she heads towards a blacked-out SUV but I stop everyone from

going any further once we are only a few feet away from the SUV as a safety precaution. She reaches the door and opens it before leaning inside and speaking to whoever is inside while I get anxious about finding out whos inside there.

Finally, she steps back and someone steps out and within seconds I go from anxious

to beaming happily as none other than warrior Zack steps towards me closely followed by his mate kat and of course little Jane, and fuck is it good to see them all again, it feels like it's been a lifetime since they left here to get Jane the help she needed.

"Alpha Calvin, Beta Liam, Gamma's Jack, and Ashley it's great to see you again." His beaming smile shows how sincere he is being along with the matching smiles on Kat's face. Jane, however, has been looking down at the ground as she's been walking towards us while holding Kat's hand but the moment she looks up and sees us she runs as fast as she can calling Jack's name before diving into his arms.

"It's a pleasure to have you all back with us. How are things going with Jane?" I know we will have a detailed conversation regarding Jane and what's been going on but for now, I at least want a brief update.

"It was a difficult start but things are going great, she's not there 100% but she's already so much better!" The joy on Zack's face makes me smile, and I'm generally happy to hear that things are going well.

"That's brilliant news."

"Well ain't you a bunch of handsome wolves." I look up when I hear a female voice and watch as an elderly woman approaches us who I'm assuming is the one and only Rosemary, Kat's gran.

"Gran behave!" Kat playfully scolds her but I can see that it won't make a difference, she's got a cheeky look on her face and the look that tells me that she's going to be a handful and I hope I get to personally know her.

"Oh, I'm sure these handsome young men can handle a fragile old woman like me." She gives me a wink making me smirk as Kat covers her eyes with her hand clearly trying not to laugh.

"I think it's pretty clear to see that there ain't nothing fragile about you miss Rosemary." Liam steps toward her as he talks and she rewards his words with a wink while she licks her lips.

"Oh yum!" Those words out of her mouth are too much for any of us to handle and in seconds everyone is laughing including Liam.

"And who are you?" Her eyes gleam as she talks to Liam and I swear I'm falling in love with this woman already.

"I'm Beta Liam."

"Handsome name for a handsome man. And who are the rest of these delicious men?" She looks around at us all as I step forward.

"It's a pleasure to meet you in person Rosemary, I am Alpha, Calvin."

"Oh, the pleasures all mine." This woman is a fireball.

"I'm Gamma Jack and this is my mate, Gamma Ashley." Both Jack and Ashley step forward while Jack still has Jane in his arms and places a kiss on each side of her cheeks.

"You too are mates... Oh, how I would love to make a sandwich out of you two beautiful men."

"Gran!" Kat shouts out while I wipe away tears from my eyes from laughing so hard.

"Alpha Calvin please excuse my gran, she doesn't get out much." Kat looks modified at her gran's behavior but I have a feeling that this is her standard behavior and I love it.

It takes everyone a few minutes to calm down and finally, I feel able to conduct the Alpha business that I need to right now.

"So Rosemary, Zack, Kat, how do you know Edwina?"

"Alpha, Edwina is my great niece. Sadly her mother died when she was a little girl and I raised her as one of my own." Rosemary's words shock me. I don't know what answer I was expecting when I asked that question but that certainly wasn't it.

"I've known Edwina all my life Alpha. She's a good woman, a good witch, and a woman of her word." Kat adds in.

"I dont care who she is she is not erasing our memory!" Colton growls in my head.

"I haven't said she is yet Colton, calm down or you're going to give me a headache." He lets out another growl before retreating to the back of my mind. I know he's pissed off and against what Edwina wants to do to us and so am I but like everything else in life I have to think of the whole situation and what's best for my pack before making any decisions.

"How about we all head back inside to my office and talk this through some more?" I haven't got a clue what to do here but I need to start figuring it out pretty fast.

I head inside while everyone follows me aside from Ryder and Smithy who both head toward the forest and back to their guard posts to relieve whoever covered them of the duty.

I open my office door allowing everyone to head inside while I link my dad asking him to head down to my office with my mom, they both know about the incident and I'm hoping they will be able to offer me a little advice on the situation.

"Joey, Jackie how do you both know Edwina?" Liam's question has my attention brought back to the room instantly, I had thought about that earlier but I hadn't had a chance to ask them about it yet.

"Jackie and I met when she saved my life 7 years ago, I was out in the forest close to her pack looking for one of our witches that had gone missing when I was attacked by a Rogue, he caught me off guard and I wasn't able to defend myself against him... If it wasn't for Jackie appearing out of nowhere and killing him he would have killed me. We have been firm friends ever since." Edwina answers the question while Jackie smiles and nods agreeing.

Everyone takes a seat with Jack pulling Ashley onto his lap and Joey doing the same with Jackie to make room for the extra people that are now in the room while Jane parks her bum on Liam's lap with a beaming smile, I think that little girl has missed having my men wrapped around her little finger.

"While I understand your predicament Edwina I'm sure you can also understand mine and my need to protect and put my pack first."

"Of course Alpha Calvin." Before I can say anymore there's a knock on the door and my dad and mom walk in looking completely confused at the mix of people in the room.

"Son is everything ok?"

"Yes, everything is ok. Dad, mom I would like you to meet Edwina and Rosemary. Rosemary is Kat's gran and Edwina is the witch who helped us out the other night."

"Oh well, it is lovely to meet you both, and Edwina I would just like to thank you for what you did for my boys and my other pack members, from what I have been told they would be dead right now if it wasn't for you."

"It was my pleasure. The attack should never have happened and my witches will be made aware of that you have my word." I can see she's not messing around and I don't want to think about any punishment that they may get but seeing how unhappy she is about their behavior does help in showing me how much of a decent person she really is.
