Ashley

"I don't understand?" Mac's look of shock appears genuine but there's still a part of me that doesn't trust him, he's never given me a reason to. "I've always known her to be a vindictive bitch but even for her this is a new low!" I growl out as I feel the same anger that I felt when I found out about this resurfacing. "That's your mother your talking about Ashley!"

"After everything that she's done, how can you defend her? You must be as vindictive as her!"

"What are you talking about Ashley?"

"Fuck where to start... Well, there's the fact that she was never a mom to me or Kelly. Dad pretty much raised me on his own and then dad and I raised Kelly from the day she was born. She never hid her dislike of us or the fact that she didn't want to be a mom."

"That's not true!" Mac looks horrified for a moment but then a strange look overcomes him. "Why would I make that up? What would I gain? Do you know that she cried when she found out that she was pregnant with Kelly? full-on bawled her eyes out because she was devastated She wanted to end the pregnancy but dad wouldn't let her, and I don't think she ever forgive him for that."

"I don't have a reason as to why you would make it up Ash but it's just hard to see your mom in that light."

"Do you know why I'm here Mac? I mean at this pack and no it's not to do with Jack because I met Jack after I had left moms pack." He shrugs his shoulders but a look of dread comes over his face and I can tell that he's dreading my answer.

"I'm here because mom found out that I'm gay Mac and both she and Alpha Roland wanted me out of the pack because of it. I was given two options "Stop being gay" And I could stay there, marry some she-wolf and have a family or leave the pack and become Rogue."

"Please tell me this is all a joke?" He looks toward me with pleading eyes and it seems that reality is quickly kicking him in the crouch. "I wish it was and if that wasn't enough when I made my decision to leave it wasn't good enough for them and they planned on killing me but my friend Coby found out and told my dad first and he helped both my dad and I escape. My dad escaped with me because he didn't care that I was gay."

"Mac I can personally confirm some of Ashley's story along with my Beta, Gamma, father, and serval warriors," Calvin speaks calmly but I see a hint of anger behind his eyes.

"What do you mean Alpha, Calvin?" Calvin quickly dives in telling my uncle all about his conversations with Alpha Roland and everything that happened in the woods even down to my mother's dramatic performance. "That fucking bitch!" He growls out. He looks angry and sad all at once and I'm starting to think that he doesn't know my mother half as much as he thinks. "Why is it you don't like me, Mac? I've never really thought much about it before but now that I realize that you don't know mom like you think I wonder if she's to blame."

"I've never liked how you treated your mom Ash, nor Kelly or your dad!" He looks pissed again but I'm fucking confused by his answer. "What do you mean?"

"Whenever we spoke on the phone she would tell me about how both you and Kelly spoke to her rudely but that your father wouldn't allow her to punish either of you. She told me about how your dad cheated on her regularly and also about the times when you would threaten her if you didn't get your way!" He growls out the last part while I'm instantly pissed. "She said what? You have got to be fucking kidding me!"

"I'm not Ashley."

"Fuck she's even more vindictive than I originally thought!"

"That's your mother you're talking about Ash, my sister you should have more respect for her!" His words come out more of a growl, that is until Jack lets out a loud warning growl and Mac instantly shuts up. "After everything she has done, she is lucky that I haven't personally ended her!" Jack growls.

Mac rubs his hands down his face looking defeated, I think he's realizing that I'm telling the truth and I know that can't be easy for him. "Fuck Ash I don't even know what to say except that I'm sorry. If I had known then I would have said something to her. I also heard about your dad's death, I'm sorry that you had to go through that Ashley."

Shit, he doesn't know about my dad being alive. I take a deep breath as I wonder where to even start. "Do you want me to tell him everything darling?" I nod toward Jack while sending him a grateful smile as I struggle to find the right words to show him how grateful I am to him. He goes on to tell mac everything including my dad's death and his coming back to life and how we suspect a little girl is the one who saved him, if this wasn't such a fucked situation I would laugh at the look on his face right now.

As if on cue there's a knock on the door and a warrior walks in with my dad right behind him, Calvin or Liam must have sent for him. Mac quickly turns white as if he has seen a ghost and I swear he's about to pass out any second. "Matthew? How? What? I'm confused!" A laugh bellows out across the room, Jack turns to face me with a smirk on his face and I realize that it's me whos laughing but I can't help it. This situation is so fucked up that I couldn't write this shit if I tried!

We spend the next 20 minutes filling in Mac on everything that's been going on and once again he apologizes to me for how he's treated me and he also does the same to my dad and as much as I could stay angry at him I don't want to. He was another pawn in my mother's game and it's not his fault. He's also willing to help us in any way to get Kelly away from mom and for me that more than makes up for the way he's been.

"How long do you have until you need to be back at your pack Mac?" Cal asks. Mac is a high-ranking warrior at the black moon pack 2 hours away, he's been there since birth but my mom left there when she met my dad and moved to my old pack and we never

visited there.

"I'll call my Alpha and see if he can spare me for a few days so that I can personally help."

"Thank you, Mac." Mac quickly gets the all-clear from his Alpha, after he explained everything that's going on his Alpha gives him the all-clear to stay here as long as he needs and I know that we all appreciate it. "Look before we start working on a plan there is someone that I can call. I don't like the idea of working with him and neither will you but he could play a massive role in this." Mac looks almost regretful as he speaks and it sends a cold shiver down my spine.

"Who is it?" Liam asks

"His name is Tony DeLuca, he is a Rogue and a sick man but he's deep inside the black market. He's one of the guys you call when you're looking for a certain someone to buy."

"You mean children don't you?" Liam looks ready to vomit as he speaks.

"Yes."

"How the fuck do you know some goddam bastard like that? Better still why the fuck do you have his number?" I can feel Jack slightly shake as he spits out the words, and I'm right there with him. "He used to be a member of our pack but decided that pack life wasn't for him and went Rogue, of course, we later found out that the real reason he left was to work in the black market. It's a sick game but for people without any morals, it brings in a shit load of money!"

"Ok, but why do you still have contact with him?"

"One of the children from our pack was kidnapped a few months ago and the trail lead us to him. Believe me, once I found out what he was doing I was ready to personally rip his throat out but my Alpha made a deal with him. He helped us find Elsa and we kept shut about his involvement in the black market."

"Would he help us?" Cal quickly asks.

"I don't see why not but it could be costly!"

"How much are we talking?" Now it's my turn for the questions because right now I don't have a fucking cent to my name.

"I don't know but I can call him and see what he says?"

"Do it!" Cal tells him without any hesitation. I pull on Jack's shoulder bringing his attention to me. "Jack I don't have any money right now, I had to leave all my cards and savings behind in my old pack."

"Don't worry darling we have money." Before I can respond he carries on talking while I just sit there looking confused. "What's mine is your's baby, ok and I have more than enough besides Cal will help too."

"I can't expect him to help, to use his money for my sister." It's sad but it's true. Jack's eyes glaze over before he puts his focus back on me.

"Cal overheard us talking and told me to tell you not to worry that you are family and that means that your sister is family too."
