The gasp that leaves my mouth echos across the forest ground as I realize what he's been doing.

"My little mate.... my little wolf, every time you called me your little wolf..."

"I was calling you my little mate!" Liam finishes my sentence with the most beautiful smile on his face.

"Wow, I... I can't believe this is happening, I know I wished for it but I never thought it would actually happen or that you would want me!" I'm lost in a sea of word vomit when I realize what I've said and so has Liam.

"You wished for what?" His smirk tells me he knows but he's not going to let me off that easy.

"I um... nothing!" I try to brush it off but I know it's not going to wash with him.

"Nice try sweetheart, now spill!" His lip slips up into the sexiest grin I have ever seen on anyone's face and it sends flutters to my stomach.

"Argh fine... I've had a massive crush on you since the moment I met you ok and I always wished we were mates but I never imagined I would actually be lucky enough to have it come true. And then a few days ago I learned of the werewolf law of not telling underage wolfs that they are your mate and I got it into my head that if we were mates then you would already know and it didn't seem like you were bothered... I thought that if we were mates that you were going to reject me!"

My word vomit is at an all-time high and by the time I've finished talking, I am out of puff. Liam looks stunned as he takes it all in and his smile seems to sink for a moment, maybe I was right, he hasn't actually said that he's accepted me yet.

"Bethany, I know you must have a shit load of questions and I will happily answer every single one of them but there's something I want to do first... Bethany Johnson do you accept me as your mate?" he looks nervous but he doesn't have any reason to.

"Of course I do... do you Liam carter accept me as your mate?" His beaming smile has reappeared and I never want to see it leave.

"Oh, good lord yes I do!" He pulls me into him and hugs me and I've never felt more safe or protected, this feeling is intense. After a few moments, he hooks his finger under my chin and raises it until our eyes meet and I'm instantly lost.

"Kiss me!" I say the words without even realizing and my cheeks instantly burn up, I try to lower my head but he's not having any of it.

"You don't need to ask me twice, I've waited so long for this moment!" He slowly leans into me his breath fanning my face gives me goosebumps, he takes his time closing the gap between us and I know it's to give me time to back away but I want this.

Hell, I've wanted this for so long that it feels like a century has passed as I wait for him to kiss me, everything around us disappears and all I can see is his face, his deep chocolate brown eyes, his lips... his lips...

He leans in to whisper the last part in my ear and a shiver runs right through my body which of course he doesn't miss causing a seriously sexy smirk to grace his face.

"How about we sit down on the blanket and talk some more?" I nod and Ellie purrs when he takes my hand, interlocks our fingers, and gently pulls me down onto the blanket. I'm not sure how I got so lucky but right now it feels like dreams really can come true.

Beta Liam

Since the moment I met Bethany I have always known that I'd do anything for her, would do anything to make sure she wants for nothing and is protected but looking at her right now brings out a whole new rush of emotions with it. It's been 10 minutes since we accepted the bond with each other and this girl has already got me completely and utterly whipped!

The blush that graces her face when she is embarrassed is without a doubt the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life and hearing her telling me that I'm her first kiss brought me way more pleasure than it should of. We sit down on the blanket side by side, I want nothing more than to pull her onto my lap but I need to take my time. I don't know how she wants to do this but I do know that anything that does happen will be on her terms.

"How's Bethany taking it, brother?" Cal's link pulls me out of my thoughts.

"All good so far brother, she's accepted me. It's insane!"

"We all knew she would, she'd be crazy to reject you brother but that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep your paws to yourself, just putting it out there!" A chuckle slips past my lips at his protective brother's speech as I close the link without saying anything else and see Bethany's amused face watching me.

"That was Cal checking your ok!" She looks confused for a second but then the realization hits her. Fuck I forgot she doesn't know.

"Cal knows?"

"He does!"

"And who else?"

"Hmm, Brooke, Ashley and Jack plus my parents and Cal's but no one else!" Her look of confusion is soon replaced with a knowing smile. I know she has questions about it and I don't blame her so instead I just dive in and tell her all about them knowing and the reasons behind it all and pray she isn't mad.

"I'm sorry Liam!" Wait, what?

"Why are you sorry baby?"

"This must have been so hard for you. Feeling how I do now, I can't imagine how hard this must have been for you!"

"I'm not going to lie to you, it's the hardest thing I've ever been through but you're worth every single second, even if you had rejected me today, I still wouldn't regret a single moment of it." Thankfully her beautiful smile quickly reappears and she leans towards me slightly but pulls back just as quickly.

"Ellie just told me she wants to be close to you but she's nervous about rushing you!" Jonah chimes in my head and I'm loving his

link to Ellie even more. I lean over grabbing my girl by her hips and bring her onto my lap so she straddling me, I want her close but I still want to see her beautiful face.

"Listen to me sweetheart, I know we have a lot to talk about and you've properly got a thousand questions running around that pretty

little head of yours but we will get there. Right now we just need to be honest with each other and everything else will fall into place!" She quickly agrees and my fucking heart flutters just looking at her.

"One more thing, I don't want you to feel rushed in any way in this relationship ok? me and Jonah have waited a long time for you and we have no problem with waiting until you are ready to do anything, but I also don't want you to hold back because you think you need to, I am more than ready for anything you want."

The second I finish speaking her beautiful blush comes back, she bites her bottom lip and the sight goes straight to my cock, fuck! I try to move my body so she doesn't feel it but her wide eyes tell me I'm too late, shit!

"Ok but if I do or say something you don't like or you're not ready for, you have to promise me you'll tell me, ok baby?" She nods but before she can say anymore I bring her mouth back to mine and take my sweet time. I've got 3 years to make up for and what better time to get started than now?
