Alpha Calvin

Between everything that has happened and all the information that we have learned over the past few days, I feel like a truck has run over my head. Since the moment that my dad handed down the Alpha title to me, I've never had a moment of regret over taking it or a worry about how I would handle something but I'd be lying if I said that I was struggling right now. It's a lot to take in and I dont even know where to start.

After everything that Coby told us we had him placed back in the cell until we decide what to do with him and everyone has gone on with their day while I try and clear through everything in my head and make the decisions that are needed.

Once I said goodbye to everyone I decided to go out for a run with Colton in the hope that it would help clear my head but even handing over full control to him hasn't helped me and as I lay here at the side of the lake I growl out in frustration at being no closer to any of the decisions that I need to make.

Suddenly an array of smells invade my nose as well as the noise of feet padding along on the ground but I dont move once I reorganize the scents. "How are you doing brother?" Liam comes to sit next to me closely followed by Jack, Ashley, and my dad, and I'm not even surprised, these guys always seem to know when I need them and they are always there.

I shift back into my human form and park my naked ass back on the grass surrounded by my men, my brothers, my family. "What am I going to do with all of this?"

"You mean what are we going to do?" Liam asks me with one eyebrow raised. "We are family and we've never left anyone feel alone when they have needed someone and we dont plan on starting that now." His words are serious and firm but they make me smile, man I love these guys.

We spend the next few hours sitting on the forest floor and working through everyone's ideas and opinions and finally we make the decisions that we need to. I can't say they are what I personally want or any of the other guys for that matter but they are what's best for the pack and that's the main thing here.

We'll call a meeting at 5 pm and tell everyone our decision. Liam, can you make sure Zack and his family are there including Rosemary plus Joey, Jackie, and Edwina please?"

"Of course Alpha."

"Now how about we let our wolves out to run for a bit before the meeting, hopefully, it will help us relax." Jack's suggestion is exactly what we need right now and everyone's quick to agree and shift into their wolves before we run with all we have. Fuck I hope we've made the right decisions here.

We get back to the pack house a few hours later and I make time for a quick shower and change of clothes before heading back for my office, I want to catch up on some paperwork before the meeting and I need to make some calls regarding Coby's fate.

A knock on the door pulls my attention away from my work and I smile when I see Toby and Luke two of my warriors walk through the door with Jake the teenage boy that approached us in the woods, things have been so crazy here that I forgot that he was here and I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't feeling guilty about it.

So with that in mind, I linked Toby and Luke to bring him to see me. We dont know him yet or trust him but he's still only a teenager so I didn't want him locked in a cell so instead, I had him kept in a room on the guest floor and constantly guarded by two wolves until I could deal with him.

I dont really have time for this right now but I won't make the poor boy wait anymore, besides, if things are as bad as he says for his mother and sister then we need to get them away from their pack and somewhere safe as soon as possible.

We chat for a while and the more that he tells me the more panicked I can see he's becoming, he's generally scared for his mom and sister and I dont see anything in him that's telling me that he's lying so I agree to help him and link Jack to come to meet me in my office.

Of course, Jack being the man he is he's in my office in less than 2 minutes and as soon as I fill him in on my idea to get Jake's mom and sister out of their pack he starts linking warriors straight away to meet him at the training grounds so that he can hash out a plan with them.

Gamma Ashley

I'm not sure what to make of the decisions that we all agreed to but I do know that they are what's best for the pack in general. I may not have been here that long but I already care and love the members here and I'll do whatever I need to for their safety.

"Ok before we deal with Coby let's get Edwina's situation sorted out first." Cal talks to the room as every member that was at the attack has been called into the kitchen to find out what will happen.

"What's the plan Alpha?" Curtis asks from the front of the crowd.

"So I have thought about this none stop and weighed both the pros and cons and after that I spoke with your former Alpha, your Beta, and both of your Gammas and as you know they have all of your best interests in mind and we had made a decision."

I swear everyone in the room holds their breath as they wait for his answer, apart from the ones that already know of course.

"We will go ahead with Edwina's request. We will allow her to wipe our memories of the attack but there are conditions to this." He turns to face Edwina as he finishes talking who is now giving him her full attention. "My dad and mom know about the attack but they weren't there and so they don't have any idea of what any of the witches looked like so they will be present while the spell is happening to make sure that nothing else happens. I dont mean any offense here Edwina but I have to be careful."

"Of course Alpha. That's fine with me." She doesn't seem bothered by his request which helps settle my nerves a little. "Rosemary will also be in the room with my mom and dad, with her being a witch she will know that the spell that you are casting will be correct."

"Again that's fine with me Alpha."

"As I said before my mom and dad know about the attack but not anyone that was there as well as Rosemary, Zack, and Kat but all five of them have sworn that they will never mention the attack to anyone. As soon as the spell has been cast on everyone and no one remembers anything they will also in a way forget about the attack and it won't be mentioned again."

The room breaks out with agreeing wolves and I'm glad to see that everyone is on board with the idea. "Ok everyone quiet down there is something else that I want to bring up before we move forward with this." Cal's words bring the room to silence once more as all eyes go on him.

"What is it, Cal?" Liam asks.

"I spoke with Nora today and I know why she was acting so strange over Lacey." Cal's words shock us all as none of us knew that he had been to see her or even when he found the time for it. "It turns out that she has discovered that Lacey is a witch and she was trying to protect her until she could figure things out. She was going to talk to us when we got back from the tunnels but of course, things didn't go as planned."

I'm not very surprised by this and clearly, Jack feels the same, after his dream we had a feeling that she could possibly be a witch.

"What are we going to do with her?" Liam asks.

"I've spoken with Rosemary and Edwina and Rosemary has offered to take her home with her and Edwina will help her in finding her family. Jack shared the information with them that you give me and Rosemary has kindly offered to observe Lacey and help her if needs be."

Jack nods agreeing and I feel happy that she will be going with people who understand her needs and will also be able to help her if the need arises.

"Alpha with your permission myself, Kat, and Jane will also be heading back with Rosemary for a little longer, Jane is doing incredibly well and we dont want to stop the work now when she's so close to the end."

"Of course Zack, I agree with you but please remember that your home and pack are here waiting for you whenever you are ready to come home."

"Thank you Alpha, we will be home as soon as we can you have my word."

"Oh they will and I'll be coming with them, can't miss out on the chance of living with you fine wolves!" Rosemary's cheeky words bring a smile to everyone's face and even some giggles can be heard.

"There is always a place here for you to Rosemary, my men would be honored to live with a lady as fine as you." Cal gives rosemary a wink and has her blushing while blowing him a kiss. I hope we get to see her again soon she is a wildcard.

"Alpha I dont want to dampen the moment but what about the men that died at the attack? What story will be given for their deaths?"

"Well as it stands all of our warriors that died during both attacks have been presumed to have died at the tunnels. Edwina, is there a way to have us forget the attacks but remember the warriors that we lost there as part of the warriors we lost at the tunnel attack?"

"I can do that Alpha."

"Ok good. Is everyone ok with this happening?" Everyone nods and agrees and despite the slight unease I have at losing my memories I feel some relief at knowing that it is coming to an end. The sooner this part is over the sooner Kelly will leave and be safe.

"So what exactly will you be erasing from our memories?" Liam asks Edwina.

"Just the witch attack, nothing more. You will have memories of the battle at the tunnels and of losing the warriors there then you will have memories of an easy drive home and nothing more.

Everyone nods showing that they were listening while I still can't believe that we are actually doing this. "Before we move forward with this there is one more thing to sort out and that's Coby's fate." Cal's eye glaze over as he links someone and just moments later Toby and Smithy arrive with Coby still handcuffed. Ryder was guarding Coby with Toby but he is leading the rescue team that has left to get Jake's mom and sister.

Toby and Smithy bring Coby into the room and sit him in an empty chair that's in front of Cal, Liam, Jack, and me.

"Coby we have talked about your fate and taken everything into consideration and we have come to a decision." Coby nods but doesn't say a word as a nervous trail of sweat runs down his face. "You will have your memories of the witches wiped along with everyone else and then you will be sent to live at another pack. Alpha Hallmark is an allie of ours and after I explained everything leaving out the witches of course he agreed to take you in and give you a chance at his pack."

"What? wait. Do you mean I'm not going to die?" Coby's words are careful and It's clear to see that he's struggling to believe Cal's words and I can understand why.

"No your not Coby. You made a mistake, a stupid mistake but we believe that it was done with some good intentions and for good reasons and we also believe that you deserve a second chance but not here where you have caused many people a lot of pain."

Coby goes to answer Cal but is stopped when the kitchen door opens and in walks warrior Luke, he's the one that I found in Jack's bed that day and despite my dislike of him at first for obvious reasons I've come to like him a lot and have made a good friend in him as strange as it sounds.

Luke walks across the kitchen towards us neither saying a word nor apologizing to Cal for the interruption. As he gets closer to me I notice his nose twitching and I get a funny feeling deep in my stomach.

"Warrior Luke, what are you do-"

"MATE!" Cal's words are interpreted when Luke growls out the words while walking closer to us and confusing every one of us. That is until he stops right in front of us and leans in close to Coby. "MATE, MINE!"
