The Delta's Daughter Chapter 44

KELLEN

I had just gotten off the phone with Lamia; she had linked me to see if I was available to talk. Of course, I always am for her. We could talk via a link, but at our distance it could be tiring to keep the conversation going, so we talked by phone.

She had called about Travis, our good friend from the academy, who is now known to have disappeared, where we just assumed he was busy with Alpha duty, although it did strike us as strange when Alpha Greg and his Beta Sam had said they had not heard from him since graduating and had not managed to get in contact with him either. Why would his family keep his disappearance a secret? I also remember how Kira had brushed off the subject of Travis whenever Lamia brought him up, saying ‘ehh we didn’t stay in contact.’

That was not like Travis, very uncharacteristic of him.

I was getting ready to call Alpha Greg, to see what he had to say, if he or Sam had any other information before I called over to the Howlers pack to speak with his father, the current Alpha.

*Rogues east border* the link came through from one of the guards on patrol.

*on my way, how many?*

*Three that I see sir…*

I felt a snap and achy pain in my chest. I had just lost a pack member.

I swiftly exited my office, racing out the back of the palace and shifting, my silver paws thundering through the woods. When I reached the east border, Mike was running from the direction of the northern border with two other warriors.

“Alpha, over here sir!” one of the warriors yelled.

I began to approach him with Mike and it was then I could smell the blood, the metallic scent hanging in the air. When we finally came around the tree and saw the remains of our patrol guard, I almost hurled at the sight, bile rising in my throat. Those fuckers had decapitated him and torn his body to pieces, and when I say pieces, I mean his guts were strewn across low hanging tree limbs, dismembered arms and legs, shredded and spread about. These rogues were sick fuckers.

“Kel, look at this.” Mike's intense voice brought me back from the sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach. How could he stand it? There wasn’t even enough of him to bury or burn, never mind scoop up. He handed me a note that was splattered with blood.

“It was pinned above his head.”

I opened the folded paper. It read: ‘I will be coming for what’s mine, brother, your reign will be coming to an end’

“Call a few more warriors, get this shit cleaned up, we will notify his family.” I ordered before taking a quick glance at the severed head. The warrior was Jason; he was only a year older than me. His family would be devastated. “Let’s go see the king.” I motioned at Mike to follow, gripping the note in my hand as anger seared through me, burning at my nerves.

We reached my dad’s office and entered without knocking. Beta Michael was already there. Before either of the men could say anything, I slapped the note on his desk in front of him. “They decapitated him and tore the rest of his body to shreds.”

He looked at the note. Beta Michael walked over and stood by him. My father cast him a knowing glance and said one word “Shit.”

“Shit? Do you know who this is, who is he calling brother?” I knew my father was an only child, so it couldn’t be aimed at him, could it?

In a sudden fit of rage, he swiped his desk, and threw his lamp across the room and let out a powerful menacing roar. I had never seen my father this enraged. I waited for him to calm down before reproaching the subject.

When he did finally calm down, Beta Michael turned to the mini-bar and poured him a large drink, sliding it on to the desk in front of him. As my father sat back down, he reached for the glass and knocked it back in one go, handing it to his Beta for a refill.

“Sit down.” He curtly said. With a strained voice closing his eyes, “I know who this is, Silas. Fucking Silas and he is after Lamia. That and he seems to think he is entitled to the throne.”

Silas? Who the fuck was Silas? Mike and I looked at each other. What the heck did he want with Lamia? My wolf started pacing, agitated by the threat to Lamia. I could feel my anger growing and I clenched my fists tightly. My teeth clenched together so tight, I was surprised I hadn’t shattered them.

“Silas is the illegitimate son of your late grandfather. He had a son with a woman who tricked him into bed using potions. He didn’t know about the son until many years later. I met him and he stayed with us after his mother had gone mad and killed herself. After a year of being here, he left and your grandfather never saw him again. We had presumed he was dead. Obviously not.

Silas had always thought he had a claim to the throne. Although he was passed some Lycan genes, he was never born with Alpha blood. We were born around the same time, as his mother had tricked your grandfather, around the same time Grandma had found out she was pregnant with me. The betrayal almost killed her. The only reason it didn’t was because foul play had been used. And she forgave him.”

“We need to call Lamia and alert her, she needs to know.” Mike spoke, rushing out his words, panic and concern written all over him.

“I agree. He must have somehow found out about her. Which leads me to believe the attack on the convoy from the academy was his doing, and he was actually after you.” My father gestured towards me, “Someone must have seen Lamia. It also means we have a traitor in the pack. Call Lamia, I will speak to her parents.” He rubbed his hands down his face, leaning back in his chair as I watched the stress take hold of him.

Who was this man and why had I not heard of him before? I had a gut feeling something bad was coming and Conri was pacing restlessly in the back of my mind. The fear that this man was after Lamia simmered on the surface and did not settle easily. Although Lamia could take care of herself, evil knew no bounds and if this Silas was as dirty as he sounded and, by the look of uneasiness on my father, Trouble was sure to come.

We needed to be as prepared as possible. The only thing we had going for us right now, was that outsiders still thought Lamia was here. Mated to someone else or not, I would still hold up my promise, to protect her and love her above all others.

OLIVER (Rogue)

I threw the picture of the dire wolf I held in my hands down on to my Kings desk, and replaced it with a glass of whisky, taking a good long sip. She would soon be King Silas’ and so would the werewolf throne. King Alexander would get what was coming to him very soon and so would his pathetic excuse of a son.

We had it all planned out, six months of planning and the added bonus of the dire wolf. The throne would be Silas’ and rightfully so. He was the true king, not that sniveling idiot that is his half brother. I didn’t want him to die right away; I wanted to watch him break as we destroyed him. I wanted him to watch as I took his Queen, I wanted him to watch as I killed his son, I wanted him to watch my father, Silas, as he fucked his Queen and then took her life. I wanted to watch him break, to watch his power burn like ashes in flame and dissolve before I ripped his heart out.

The door opened and two guards walked in dragging the piss poor of an excuse future Alpha. Bound in silver chains, he was latched by his wrists to the hook hanging from the ceiling of the office we were sitting in. The guards had worked him over pretty well due to my command before bringing him here. “Has he been given his dose of wolfsbane?”

“Yes, Beta Oliver.” One of them replied, bowing his head.

“Good, then leave us and send our new whore in.” A sly grin began weaseling its way onto the corner of my lips. I looked at Silas, his face expressionless. If he didn’t like the way I conducted business, he never showed it. I know he likes these little sessions with the young Alpha that is strung up in the corner though, and I knew he had a thing for Alpha Richards’s daughter. He was ruthless and reveled in the pain of others, more so than me.

Kira, Alpha Richards’s daughter, had become a valuable asset for now, the only reason we were keeping her around. Besides the fact that she was ready and willing to spread her legs, this little wench was power hungry.

Her mate, the prisoner we had hanging in my office, had discovered her betrayal against the little prince and her so-called best friend. When he had threatened to expose her, she had him drugged and brought to the castle into our cells where he had been our little tortured pet for the past few months. Alpha Richard’s Luna was not her mother, and she despised her, so she had plotted to have her kidnapped and used in order to control her father and his warriors. The smart little bitch had sought out my rogues almost a year ago, which is how we found out about the convoy leaving from the academy, just a quick phone call from her to me.

Like I said, she was useful and beneficial in our planning. It did surprise me how eager she was to side with us. I wasn’t sure what her end game was or the true reason she would betray her father, but I was sure it was more than just a power trip. She was a little unhinged and seemed to enjoy the games as much as I or the rogue king.

The door opened and in walked Kira. Her brown curly hair was down and she wore a sheer blouse and short skirt.

Silas called her over to him, patting his lap. The obedient bitch she is, walked over and took a seat on his lap, her plump ass rubbing against his crotch. I watched as her dirty brown eyes flicked to the prisoner in the corner. For a fleeting moment, there was a look of sorrow for the young Alpha, but was soon replaced with a look of disgust. I inwardly grinned, such a little whore, I thought.

I hooked my finger under her chin, turning her head so her eyes could meet mine. “Does it bother you that he is here?” my voice full of menace but also soft. The king sat there silently watching our exchange as he rubbed her ass over his lap.

“No my Beta, it does not.” She gave me a sweet smile and I detected no lie in her voice.

“Tell me little one, have you rejected your mate yet?” King Silas asked her. I knew she hadn’t, but I wanted to hear her say it, I wanted her mate to hear her say it.

“No my King, I have not rejected him, I was waiting for you to tell me when I should. You have the support of my father’s pack and my mate's pack is weakened because they think he abandoned them.” She cooed.

This girl was power hungry, so power hungry she would betray her pack, her mate and her best friend, all in the name of a title. I admit, without her we wouldn’t have been able to launch our plan of attack so quickly. She would make a good little mistress and pack whore.

“Good.” I drawled out, releasing her chin from my fingers.

I pulled her skirt up and reached my hand down between her legs, cupping her sex and rubbing her already wet pussy with the pad of my thumb, her little panties soaked. “Now tell me little one, who do you want to fuck you first?” I asked, watching her eyes flicker to Silas, to the prisoner, then back to me.

“My lord Oliver, your wish is my command.” She shakily said, not knowing what would please us the most. Despite her quavering voice, I could smell her excitement. Oh, she was a dirty one.

I moved her sheer panties to the side and pushed a finger into her wet hole, thrusting it in and out. She let out a small gasp as I added another finger, then gripping and wrapping her hair around my other hand.

“Do you like this Kira?” I asked, still pumping my finger into her.

She moaned her reply and asked for more, my fingers stroking her until she came all over them. When she had finished, I pushed her up and stood walking over to the prisoner wiping the juices from her orgasm under his nose and across the top of his lips before licking them. “Your mate is quite tasty, mutt, wouldn’t you agree?”

He said nothing but turned his head in disgust. I chuckled, knowing the pain the action caused his heart. I turned and nodded at Silas, before opening a drawer to the side, picking out a silver-tipped blade, then turned back to the prisoner and gave him a small nick on his chest. He hissed in pain. The cut was not deep, but the silver burned and the pain was enhanced as his wolf was set at bay by the wolfsbane we had been pumping through his system. We didn’t want to kill him, not yet anyway. We didn’t want his family feeling the snap of the connection when he died, so we kept him alive, barley, for now.

I could hear the grunts coming from Silas over my shoulder as he pounded into the little she-wolf he now had bent over his desk. I smirked and grabbed the young Alpha’s jaw tightly, turning his head towards them.

“Watch them, watch my King fuck you mate” I sneered and then let out a laugh as the poor fucker winced, closing his eyes.

I kept making more little slashes across his chest and torso, enjoying the hiss of pain from the silver and the anguish of watching his mate, mate with another. This was a huge turn on for me and I would need a whore in my chambers tonight. I’m a sick bastard, truly, I knew it, but it’s what drove me.

Kira’s phone rang and I stepped over to see who it was, “Here, answer it…” smirking, I handed the phone to her while Silas still pumped away at her. It was her.

“Hello, Lamia!” she expertly sang over the line “Oh my god girl! I’m so happy for you; of course I will be there! I can even come a few days early to help you prepare… Bitch please, your my best friend… yep of course, no worries see you soon.” She hung up.

“Oh my goddess, Yes My King! Harder!” she screamed as he finished inside her.

I looked at her questioningly when Silas removed himself from her, pulling his pants back up, raising an eyebrow questioningly at her.

“My King, it seems Lamia is set to have her Luna ceremony soon, she is definitely in Golden Circle…”

She was cut off by the dangling now bloody Young Alpha. “Kira… don’t do this… she was your best friend!”

“Silence Travis!” She yelled “You weak excuse of an Alpha, you know nothing! In fact, I think it’s about time our bond is broken.” She looked to me and I nodded. The grin that crept across her face was evil and vile, her dirt-colored orbs holding a glint of insanity. “I Kira Fowler reject you Travis Wertz, future Alpha of the Full Moon pack.”

The young Alpha gasped as the air left his lungs at the rejection, his face twisting in misery. If it wasn’t for my wolf hearing, I wouldn’t have heard him whisper his acceptance of the rejection. His body went limp as he passed out from the pain of the silver, the wolfsbane, the betrayal and then the rejection. I linked my guards to take him back to his cell with strict instructions to whip him when he woke up.

“Are the men ready to attack at my command, Oliver?” The King asked.

“Yes my lord, we have 100 wolves set to storm the royal pack, and another 100 outside Golden Circle. I have also sent rogue were-bears to assist and help capture your queen, my king.”

I looked at the rogue king, Silas. I had been loyal, carrying out his commands and planning our attack with commitment and poise. I trusted him only to a point. The stupid fuck didn’t think I knew he was my father. And because of his hatred for my uncle, I have been able to easily manipulate and use him. I even swore a blood oath to him, to follow all his commands.

Poor shit wanted revenge on his mother. Little did he know, she was just a whore and a pawn used for her own self-indulgence, a game that was soon to be coming to an end, a game that she had set up to be the only winner, a game that only I knew the rules to. I too wanted revenge on my mother, but not for the same reasons as my so-called father wanted revenge. What he didn’t know was I wanted him dead too.

“Good.” He sneered. He was done waiting, as was I.

Now we knew for sure where the Dire Wolf was, Silas would have her in his grasp soon, very soon.

He wanted to breed her, use her, to create the ultimate Alpha. I had no interest in her. For all I cared, she should and would die by our hands.
