The Delta's Daughter Chapter 83

Lamia

One day before the full moon

I woke up with the worst headache ever. I groaned, holding my head while I used my other hand to prop me up. I was lying on a soft bed, surrounded by Mathias’ scent. It was comforting, but it was doing little for the drum beating in my temples and the brick weighing my forehead down.

I reached over to feel for Mathias, but when I felt nothing, I turned my pounding head to see the bed empty. This was not his room. It was one of the guest rooms.

I rubbed my eyes, pulling the cover back to see I was naked. Throwing my feet over the side and rising from the bed, I saw Mathias’ shirt from last night, draped across the chair by a closet. I grabbed it, putting it on. My movements were slower than usual and my legs were shaky. I felt like I had gone 4 rounds with myself and drank a shit ton of booze.

The last thing I remember is running out of the elevator from Mathias, in hopes he would chase me and ravage me. Only to hit a brick wall and coughing at the dust that was blown in my face. As soon as it hit my senses, I knew it was a concoction of silver nitrate powder and nightshade. I held my breath and saw a second man move into the shadows behind me and my captor.

Why didn’t we sense them and how did neither me, nor Mathias not smell them?

They had no scent. I thought it was all over when Arcas started to push forward and Mathias looked like he was going to shift. Until that voice, that voice that held so much power that even Inanna wanted to bare her neck to him. Both men had powerful auras, but nowhere close to the power that I had felt from Mathias.

I heard little of the conversation Mathias and the man had. I was trying not to black out and Inanna was fighting to push the poison from our system. Using every bit of healing strength she had. I finally blacked out when Mathias caught me.

The door from the bathroom opened and Mathias came walking out in all his glory. Despite my frazzled state, I couldn’t help but eye him. I licked my lips as he crossed the room and strode towards me, his giant manhood swinging between his legs. If my head wasn’t pounding so much, I would be dropping to the floor, and taking the thick length into my mouth. My mouth salivated at the thought; something I had never done; kneel before a man and taste them.

I squeezed my eyes as the pounding became louder.

“Sweets,” Mathias’ voice was soft and caressing, he took me in his arms, wrapping them tight around me and I buried my head in his bulky and hard chest. Just breathing him in, the vanilla and rum scent, soothed the erratic beating inside my head. “How are you feeling?”

“Like I kicked my own ass” I groaned, he chuckled.

“If it was anyone else but you, it could have been worse. Luckily, your wolf was strong enough to fight it off and heal you. I didn’t even have to give you my blood.” His voice was strained like it pained him to think of me like that. His lips pressed the top of my head and kissed me.

I pulled back and looked up at him. He felt so warm and safe I never wanted to leave his side. As I took in his features, I reached up to run my hand through his short black hair, letting it slide down to his strong square jaw. His eyes met mine and we locked gazes.

I thought of Zane at that moment, but there was no guilt. I still loved Zane with all my heart and that would never change. But as I looked into Mathias' steel grey eyes, I felt myself swooning. This powerful, handsome, god-looking soul, that held me in his arms, had captured my heart so soon.

I never had the urge to bow before anyone, let alone a man. But as I stood here I knew I was his, wholly, and would bow before this man in a heartbeat. He is the only person I would ever show submission too.

“What is going through your mind my little wolf?” He asked, searching my eyes.

“How much I have fallen for you, my King” I whispered breathlessly. The only thing separating our naked bodies was his shirt I wore.

I felt a heat rising between my legs and wanted nothing more than for him to take me over and over. To scream his name as the orgasms ripped through me.

He gave a low seductive growl and could feel his cock harden, “We have company little wolf, and you are tempting me and believe me, I want nothing more than to claim you over and over, but we have to get moving. And after last night, I don’t think you could handle it in your state. Plus there isn’t enough time.” He sounded annoyed with himself and his eyes looked pained as if it hurt to deny me of any sexual pleasures.

“ OK” I pouted. “Let me go shower and see if this goddess' forsaken headache will disappear.”

“Don’t look at me like that, Lamia, It’s hard enough as it is, pun intended.” He smirked. “Without you making googly eyes at me and pouting those sexy fucking lips.”

“Fine, fine, just leave a girl a girl hanging, to be honest though, I don’t think I could handle you right now.” I admitted and broke from his embrace, giving his fine naked ass figure a twice over, before heading for the shower.

“Ooh!” I cried out when his hand hit my ass, the pleasurable tingles reaching my core in an instant.

“That’s for being a tease.” He laughed.

I gave him the finger, screwing my face up at him in jest before closing the bathroom door and turning on the shower.

I felt refreshed after my shower, the pounding in my head calming to a slow ache. At least I wasn’t shaky anymore. When I came out of the bathroom, I found a neatly stacked pile of clothes on the bed next to a duffle bag and my other belongings.

I slipped on a pair of light blue jeans and a tight undertop over the lacey black underwear and matching bra that had been provided for me. Pretty sure Mathias had picked those out. I smiled to myself at the thought. Then I put on the thick grey wool sweater that had been left for me and my pair of combat boots.

I found Mathias, my father, Tobias and Xander sitting at the large dining table. I took the seat between my father and Mathias and began helping myself to the pile of food that awaited me. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, and rolls and I gulped down a glass of orange juice my father handed to me.

“King has just finished telling us everything that happened last night. How are you feeling, sweetheart?” With a concerned gaze my father asked.

“Seriously, I am getting really fed up with being knocked out by fucking evil Uncles, if you want me to be honest.” I dead panned while shoveling more food into my mouth. “And what the fuck was he saying about some woman in your bed last night?” My attention turned to my mate, eyebrow cocked in a questioning manner.

He took a deep breath “I don’t know how or why, but when Tobias showed up last night, we found Scarlet in my bed, dead. They had given her the same poison as you, but it killed her.”

“Scarlet?” I asked, puzzled.

“Mat’s ex or at least someone he was kind of seeing.” Xander explained, then his eyes shifted, “I forgot you had sent her here for work." he mumbled to Mathias, "She didn’t deserve it, she was just in love with Mat. She was a good girl. I will have her family informed and the body returned to them for a funeral.”

I cast my mind back to the gorgeous brunet who checked us in yesterday, now understanding the look she gave me. Xander was right, no matter what, she didn’t deserve it. It didn’t matter why or how she was here, it was a senseless act to kill her. Unnecessary is what it was.

My wolf stirred at the thought of another woman in Mathias’ bed. I eased her, reminding her that the girl was dead and there was no sense in getting jealous.

“ OK, so what’s the plan? Because I’m seriously already over all this shit.” I shook my head because it was true. I missed the days Kellen, Mike and I would have no worries and be able to just be free, and not have to take on the realms problems.

“Your father and Tobias will be heading to New moon as soon as we are finished here..” Mathias began.

“…And we will be taking Birdie to Avalon.” His smile was broad and his eyes wide with excitement, his words full of mischief were making me a little nervous. When Mike got that look in his eyes, it meant trouble was sure to follow and Kellen and I always anticipated what he would be getting us into.

I was getting the same vibe from Xander.

After saying good bye to my father and Tobias and wishing them a safe journey, Mathias and Xander grabbed our bags and ushered me to a set of stairs that led to the private rooftop.

“What the fuck is that?” I exclaimed, pointing at the big mechanical thing with blades on the roof. I knew what it was, what I didn’t know was why it was here.

“That’s Birdie,” Xander exclaimed with a huge cheesy grin on his face.

“I am not getting that!” Birdie was a helicopter, I had seen one in a museum when I was younger on a class outing.

“It’s the fastest way to get to Avalon Lamia.” I looked at Mathias with a burning glare.

“There is a reason when humans died out, that shifters didn’t keep manufacturing these flying contraptions. Shifter don’t fucking fly!” My anxiety was building and my words came out loud and harsh. “There is no fucking way I am getting into that thing!” I finalized.

“Yes my little wolf, you are!” Chuckling at me, Mathias hoisted me off the ground and threw me over his shoulder, depositing me into the helicopter.

“Nope, nope, give me a map and I will meet you there” I struggled in his hold, squirming to get free and out of the flying death trap.

Xander climbed into the front and took up a position in the cockpit.

“Fuck no, I’m definitely not doing this, especially if he is flying it!” I pointed my finger at Xander. I was desperately trying to get out. But Mathias had his arms firmly around me. And the mate bond was doing nothing to calm my erratic heartbeats.

“He is the only one who can fly this thing. I mean I can but… I’m sitting back here with you.” He smiled at me. Nope, no charm of his was going to work on me right now.

“Fuck, Kellen and Mike are going to piss themselves when they hear about this.” I said out loud with a pained groan as I gave in and stopped struggling against his hold. It was futile anyway.

Shifters don’t fly. We are land creatures, that’s why we don’t use planes or… or helicopters. I didn’t even know any existed any more. Which brought me to my next thought: how old was this thing? Oh my goddess, we were all going to die!

The flight only took a couple of hours, and half way through I managed to unbury myself from Mathias, who chuckled at my fear the whole time.

The scenery was breathtaking! The land below, so tiny, and the mountain ridges beautiful as the peaks reached high into the sky. The contraption moved left and right to navigate the tips of the ranges that were too high to fly over.

Below I saw a herd of deer, gathered at a lake drinking, their soft brown coats contrasting against the stark white of the snow that covered the land.

When the helicopter dipped, I jumped into my mate's arms, the fear of crashing came back full throttle.

“It’s OK, we are here” he chuckled “See that clearing?” He pointed out the window to a field surrounded by a copse of trees “That is where we will land, and over there is the village.” He pointed to the right and I could just make out through the trees, a few dotted buildings around two small bodies of water. And then, further away, a larger body of water.

I closed my eyes when we began to descend fast, Xander setting ‘Birdie’ down with minimal bumps into the soft snow below us. As soon as we touched ground and he switched the helicopter off, the blades began to slow to a stop and I jumped out, worshiping the ground.

“Oh come on, it wasn’t that bad!” Xander laughed at me. “You did well for your first time.” He chuckled.

“Did you enjoy it?” Mathias asked; a cheeky grin on his face as he stepped out and into the snow.

“Yah, I did.” I scrunched my nose up and gave him a sly smile.

“That’s my girl” he beamed, throwing an arm around my shoulder and leading me towards the tree line. I swatted at him in play.

Despite my fear, it truly was an experience. And I would have to get over it if we were going to be travelling to the Royal Pack in this thing. I couldn’t wait to see Kel and Mike’s faces when we land this thing on the palace grounds.

When we reached the tree line, an extremely tall and lithe man with elongated fingers and an oval head met us. His eyes were dark pools of abyss.

“Your majesty” he bowed to Mathias. “My queen” he bowed to me “Come, she has been waiting for your arrival.” Was all he said, and turned to walk through the monstrous red-barked tree’s.

We followed him until we came upon a path and led us straight into the village. It looked like something from the old, old days. Each home was a log cabin, each in a different style. It was obvious they were hand built from the surrounding forest. I could see from one side of the village to the other it was that small.

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t something as secluded and whimsical as this.

“Your cabins are here. Once settled she would like to see you. She said time is of the essence and is glad you were able to arrive today.” The man told us. I assumed ‘she’ was Odeia.

Mathias and I had a cabin together that faced the two springs that were only a few feet away. Strips of steam rising from the water told me they were hot springs. Like the ones in MacTire. Xander had a cabin next to us, spaced about 30 feet away.

The idea was to deposit the bags and then go see Odeia. Except when we stepped inside the cabin, I gasped at its beauty and serenity. It was like a little slice of heaven tucked away, all cozy and inviting.

A fireplace stood on the wall and a cream couch faced it, with a decorative rug in between. To the left, was a door that led to a bedroom, with a king-sized bed and soft white sheets, reminding of the clouds. Beyond the sitting room was a small table for four and a counter behind that, separating the small kitchen. Everything was made from wood. The furnishings, accented with a deep green.

It was the perfect getaway and I couldn’t help the smile that grew on my face. I was in love with this place. So cozy and quiet, nothing like the echoing castle with its cold walls.

I turned to Mathias, still smiling as I snaked my arms around his waist and lifted my head to him, “I don’t think I am ever going to want to leave here.” I admitted. “This place is so… peaceful and serene. Like… like… I don’t know how to describe it.”

“Like the air has you drugged with ease?” He offered.

“Yes, just like that, but there’s something so sensual about this place, an energy I just can’t put my finger on, like magic.”

I reached up on my tippy toes, moving my arms up over his chest until they grasped the back of his neck and I pulled him down to meet my lips in a hungry kiss.

“Little wolf, we don’t have time…” I cut him off with another kiss, swiping my tongue over his bottom lip seeking entrance and when he granted it, our tongues twined together.

Heat pooling in my core and my nether lips becoming slick, I broke the kiss and slid to my knees. Finding the buckle of his belt and undoing it, followed by the buttons on his jeans. Letting them drop to the floor as his cock sprang free in front of my face.

“What are you doing little wolf?” he asked with a ragged breath.

“I don’t know,” I licked the tip of his hard cock, tasting the bead for pre-cum “I’ve never done this before. I have never been on my knees before anyone.” I gave him a sultry look as I tipped my head to peer into his eyes. My tongue darted out at the tip again, where his pre-cum had leaked more. I wrapped a hand around his silky length and wondered how such a thing could be so beautiful, so tempting, hard as stone but velvety to the touch.

He groaned when I sucked the crown into my mouth, enjoying the salty and musky taste of him. “Woman, the things you do to me.” Wrapping his fist in my hair as he growled out his words.

“Do you want me to suck you, my King?” I teased.

“Yes. I want you to suck me hard. I want to fuck your mouth my little wolf queen.” He nudged the tip to my lips. I didn’t need any more encouragement than that and sunk his dick deep into my mouth, twirling my tongue when I came back to the tip. He rocked his hips in a gentle rhythm at first, plundering my mouth. I could hardly fit him in my mouth, he was so big, so I used my hand to stroke what wouldn’t go down my throat.

“Shit, I’m going to come.” I took him deeper as his hips began to thrust harder, his thick and long member hitting the back of my throat. I flattened my tongue, one hand holding his hip to keep him deep; the other massaged and tickled his large balls.

“Gods be fucked!” he cried out and his hot cum roped into my mouth. I swallowed, loving the taste of him and hummed as he shot his last load over my tongue.

He pulled me up and wiped my lips with the pad of his thumb. “This has to be my most favorite sight; seeing you on your knees in front of me. Those perfectly pouty lips wrapped around my cock.” His eyes held nothing but love for me as we gazed into each other.

A knock at the door had us breaking away, and Mathias pulling his pants up. “To be continued.” He smirked, silver eyes flashing.

It was Xander. “You guys ready?” His nose lifted and twitched as he scented the air. “You need me to come back?” his brown eyes holding amusement as he chuckled.

“No, we are good. Let’s go see the old woman.”

Mathias held my hand and led the way to a cabin at the other end of the dirt path. I really couldn’t call it a road; it was just a dirt path.
