Pregnant With Four Alphas' Babies: A Reverse Harem Romance Chapter 123: That Woman Has to Go
*Rose*
“Where’s Eli?” I ask. Three of my four men are in my room, looking at me with furrowed brows and expressions of concern.
“He’s… taking care of a problem, little flower,” says Tristan. He sits next to me on the bed and feels my head as if I have a fever.
“I’m not sick,” I say. They’ve all been looking at me like I’m crazy ever since I’d seen that frightening woman in my room. I don’t think any of them believe me when I tell them she’s real. But she was here, standing right in front of me, her eyeballs searing into me as she threw around those wild accusations.
“We know that, little flower,” Tristan says softly.
I love the sound of his voice when he’s talking to me with love in his eyes, but I really want my men to believe me. “I wasn’t dreaming,” I say. “She was real.”
“I’m sure she seemed very real, darlin’,” says Reece, who is standing on the other side of my bed.
Mark is in the corner. I’m sure that Eli had told all of them that I was going crazy.
“It’s probably just the pregnancy making your dreams seem so real,” Tristan says.
He could be right, but I don’t think so. I know what it’s like to have realistic dreams, and even my most vivid dreams are clearly just that—dreams—in the light of day. I’m not so sure about this.
“You’re so close to delivering our children,” Mark adds, coming closer. “It’s natural to have all kinds of emotions and dreams and confusing thoughts during a time like this, especially since you’re having four pups.”
“I’m not emotional just because I’m pregnant,” I say. “I know what I saw.” Frankly, I’m not sure I’m convinced of it myself. If someone told me what I was trying to tell them had happened, I’d probably think the woman was a bit loopy from an advanced pregnancy, too. I need to go easy on them all. They’re all so loving and just trying to help.
“Well, I know what I’m going to do,” says Tristan, standing up and walking over to the far wall. “This painting is outta here.”
I giggle a little. My men definitely know how to make me feel better.
“It definitely is creepy,” agreed Reece.
Tristan takes the painting off the wall and literally throws it out the door. “Now, little flower,” he says when he comes back to my bedside. “We have some business to attend to. Kelly, Shelby, and Adam will all be here to protect you for a couple of days while we’re gone. If you need us for anything at all, know that we’ll be back here in a flash, okay?”
I don’t like that they are going off dealing with ‘business’ at a time like this, but I know it’s important to keep the kingdom running, especially when there’s a temporary king in charge. I trust my men with my life, and I know everything they do is to protect me and our children. I wonder if Eli is off getting a head start on that business.
I smile and am about to speak when the door bursts open and Beta Adam runs in. He pauses for just a moment to catch his breath—apparently, he’d been running—and says, “We’ve got a problem.”

*Emily*
My head aches, but the pain isn’t half as powerful as the rage I’m feeling. That bitch Barbara put her filthy claws on me and ripped my flesh. If it doesn’t heal quite right, I might even have a scar.
Can you imagine? A scar on Emily’s flawless skin is a sin against the Goddess herself.
I don’t like that doctor, either. She and her snotty little nurses probably didn’t even disinfect the wound properly before they bandaged it. Luckily, I heal quickly, though, so hopefully, there won’t be a scar.
To make matters worse, I’m chained to the bed in this awful room like a common criminal. I’m not in the hospital anymore, thank the Goddess—I don’t know how much longer I could stand being around those annoying women.
But my situation isn’t much better yet since I can’t even get a hand free to check under the bandages to see if there’s any permanent damage. Not to mention, the room I’m in is mediocre, at best, with so much dust everywhere that I desperately need a shower.
Emily always looks her best. Don’t these imbeciles know that?
Finally, I hear the door creak open, and before the servant can walk into the room, I say, “It’s about damn time. Now, get these cuffs off me and draw me a bath! I’ve been waiting for—” I freeze mid-sentence when I look over the gorgeous hunk of manhood who just walked in.
“Alpha Eli,” I say in the sweetest voice I can muster. I’m so good at thinking on my feet! Or lying down, as the case may be now. “I do wish you’d let me know you were coming. I would have had the maids prepare a special dinner for us.”
“Shut up, Emily,” he says.
I can’t believe the rude insult. I’m being so sweet! “Well, that’s no way to talk to the cousin of—”
“Of the king.” He finishes the sentence for me, and I swear, he seems a bit testy. It’s not like he’s the one lying here injured and in handcuffs. “I don’t have time for your games, Emily. I’m here to make sure you go home.”
“Home?” I ask. “But the king needs me here in the castle for—”
“For nothing,” he says. Boy, he sure is rude today, cutting me off. “Alpha Tristan is acting king, and he’s ordered you out of this castle. You’re to go back where you belong, back to Alpha Stephen.”
I gasp in shock, dramatically, and I’m very good at that. “You can’t send me back,” I say, trying to force tears into my eyes. I think about how much my shoulder hurts and try to get the waterworks going that way. It’s no use, though. I’ll have to try a different angle. “Tristan is not the king,” I say. “I know for a fact that my cousin is back in the palace. I have mind-linked with him, you know.”
“He hasn’t transferred power yet, so officially, Tristan is still acting king,” Eli says firmly.
“Oh?” I ask. “I’d like to speak to him right away. Tell him to come to my room.”
Alpha Eli laughs. He has the gall to laugh at Emily! “That’s not going to work,” he says. “He’s not coming here just so you can call your cousin to come transfer power.”
Shit. So this Alpha has brains as well as brawn. I’ll have to switch tactics. “Then maybe we can talk about you and me, huh?” I say, batting my eyelashes. “I’m already chained up.” I gently rattle my handcuffs in a seductive manner. No man can resist my charm, not even an Alpha. “Why don’t you come over here, and I’ll see what kind of magic we can make together?” I smile, showing my fluorescent white teeth.
“Save it, Emily,” he says.
I’m shocked and insulted, and I can’t even recognize what other feelings I’m having, but I know for a fact that I don’t like the way this Alpha is ignoring my advances. He must be made out of steel or something. What has that filthy Breeder got that lovely Emily doesn’t have? Why, I run circles around that bitch. This Alpha doesn’t know what he’s missing.
Suddenly, two guards appear in the doorway. Are they taking me now? I can’t go back to that limp, lifeless Stephen. I’d rather die fighting. Well, the two guards don’t look bad. I’m sure I can take them with my wolf form. I’m the cousin of the king, for fuck’s sake!
“Don’t get any stupid ideas, Emily,” Eli says.
I look back over at him. “Whatever do you mean?” I ask, still batting my eyelashes. If I do this long enough, I’m sure it’ll work. He’s a man, after all. Men have insatiable needs.
He gives me a straight-lipped look, as if he’s getting bored or something. Imagine being bored in my presence—Emily, cousin of the king and world-class beauty!
“I mean that Dr. Pendergan gave you something that’ll keep you from shifting, so don’t even think about trying to escape,” he says.
I feel my heart sink into my stomach. No!
“And my best men here are going to personally escort you back to where you belong, where your ‘loving husband’ can keep you out of trouble,” Alpha Eli says. “Of course, hubby may be a little late for dinner since he seems to be wanting to cause a little trouble of his own first. So, my army will deliver you a package just as soon as they can.”
My eyes brighten. Maybe they’ll kill the worthless man, and I’ll be free of him!
“Oh, don’t worry,” he continues. “We’ll make sure Alpha Stephen is nice and ‘healthy’ so he can keep rocking your world every night. That is, after everyone’s done spanking you just for fun.”
Panic overwhelms me. “You can’t do this to me!” I scream.
“I can… we can, and we will.” He nods to his men, who come at me while I kick and scream… but they both hold my legs while Alpha Eli ties them together and then grabs a silk tie from the curtains and has the gall to wrap it around my mouth.
I grunt as loudly as I can—it’s the only sound I can make with that dusty piece of cloth stuck in my mouth—and whip my body around as the men grab me and pull me toward the door. I shimmy around trying desperately to somehow slip my tied feet around something, anything that will keep me here and away from that horrible, limp, depressing Alpha Stephen.
Vases crash to the floor and lamps go flying as the guards drag me, still grunting and fighting, all the way out of the palace.
