Pregnant With Four Alphas' Babies: A Reverse Harem Romance Chapter 245: We Have a Plan
Rose
Having Kelly and Shelby with me while I feed the babies is so wonderful. It’s so hard for me to believe that just a few days ago, Kelly was missing–and so were my babies. I’ve been kidnapped myself, and I know how awful it is. I hate that anyone else has had to go through that. I thank the Moon Goddess several times a day that we are all safe and together again now.
“Which baby do you think looks the most like his or her daddy?” Shelby asks. She is holding baby Matthew, cooing at him while I hold both girls. While both of the women in the room are aunties to all four of my children, Kelly can hardly let go of her actual nephew, Ethan, whom she is holding now.
“Well, I’m super upset that I didn’t get to see the red curls on this one,” she begins, speaking in a baby voice as if Ethan can understand her. He is cooing, so maybe he can–to a point. “But I still think he has his daddy’s nose.”
“He does,” I agree, smiling over at them. “Trisha definitely has her daddy’s hair, but Reeva has her father’s mouth.”
“They are all so cute,” Shelby says, and I think I hear a note of longing in her voice. It might not be long until she starts asking Adam if they can start trying.
“What are your plans for the people who you collected along your journey?” Shelby asks Kelly. I’m curious, too. I’ve met the girls, and they are both gems. I was a little bit alarmed when I met some of the other characters, especially Eustace, but he’s a sweet guy.
“I promised to help the folks back at the hotel,” Kelly explains. “Their land isn’t quite in Alpha King Gene’s territory, but it’s close enough that we could probably annex it once we get this all sorted out.”
“All sorted out,” Shelby mutters under her breath, and I know what she’s thinking. It will take a lot of sorting.
“Where is Gene?” I ask, refusing to call him king any longer. He’s messed with my family long enough. It’s hard to believe that he’s not behind all of the attempts on my life, my children’s lives, and the Alphas.
“I’m not sure.” Kelly looks over her shoulder toward the door. The Alphas have been gone for a while, and I wonder if they’re not discussing just that. “But I think we can rest assured he’s not going to just skate by.”
Sure enough, only a moment after she finishes her sentence, the door opens, and my men walk in. I smile. Looking at all of their handsome faces makes me so happy. Tristan is leading the pack, and that tells me there’s something they want to say. I take a deep breath and arch an eyebrow.
“Guess what, my little flower,” he begins, clasping his massive hands together. “We have a plan.”
“Oh, no,” I mutter, shaking my head. “Why can I already tell that this is something I’m not going to like?”
“Because it’s Tristan talking,” Mark says with a wry grin.
“Hey now,” Tristan begins.
“He’s not wrong,” I point out. “What’s your plan, Tristan?”
He claps his hands together again, and his daughter stirs. I motion for him to be quiet and he apologizes in a whisper. “Sorry! Sorry! Okay, here’s the deal. We’re gonna track Gene down and make him pay for being a despicable asshole.”
I pause for a moment, waiting for him to continue. He doesn’t. I shift my gaze to Eli, then Reece, who are also looking at me wide eyed. By the time I get to Mark, he is able to give me a small shrug, like he doesn’t know what Tristan’s doing either.
I return my gaze to Tristan. “What?”
“Yeah. We’re gonna make him pay.”
“Okay, but how?” I ask. “When? Do you have any idea where he is?”
“We know he’s not back at his castle,” Reece offers with another shrug.
“Oh, good. Then that just leaves literally every place else in the world for you to look.” I roll my eyes, not thinking this is the best put together plan.
“It won’t take us long to sniff him out.” Tristan sounds confident, and he had no reason not to. All four of my Alphas are competent. They are strong, intelligent, and very good at everything they do. If they put their minds to something, I have no doubt, they will accomplish it.
Especially when it’s someone like Gene they are trying to track down. He is the most incompetent person I’ve ever met in my life. It’s hard to believe that he was ever chosen to be king. Why, it was his own incompetence that led him here in the first place. Where he ever got this hair-brained notion that he could bring these four Alphas in to have a contest to find someone to take over the throne, I have no idea. I wonder now, though, if maybe Emily didn’t put him up to it. She did want to be queen awfully bad. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
“Rose?” Reece saying my name snaps me out of my thoughts. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.” I blink a few times, wondering if I haven’t been falling asleep. With four babies, Mama doesn’t get a lot of time to rest, even with half the castle wanting to help. I’m the only one who can feed these little pups after all. “Are you planning on going now?” Fear bubbles up inside of me as I think about all we’ve been through. I don’t want to lose anyone again.
“We need to get this over with,” Mark says, reluctantly. “But don’t worry. You’ll be safe here. We’ve got all of our armies still on standby.”
“I’ve heard that one before,” I mutter.
“It’s true this time,” Eli assures me.
“What about you guys?” Shelby asks. “Won’t you need your own troops to go along with you?”
Tristan shakes his head. “Not many. We’ll take a few, but from what we’ve heard, after the last few battles we’ve won, no one will be standing up against us. Everyone is afraid of us.”
“As they should be,” Reece adds. All of them look proud, and they should. They’ve done a good job of destroying our enemies.
But I’m still nervous. “You have to be careful. Gene is a lunatic. You never know what he might do.”
“We will be careful,” Tristan promises me, and the others nod in agreement.
“Are you going to kill him?” Kelly asks. “Because he deserves to die.”
A crooked grin forms on Tristan’s handsome face. “Nope. We have something else in mind.”
“What is that?” I ask, tipping my head to the side and looking at him with one eye.
“You’ll see.” Tristan rumbles with a chuckle, and the other Alphas join in as well.
“I’m not sure that I like the sound of that either,” I mutter, but I don’t have any choice in the matter. “Who will be king if you don’t kill Gene?”
“We’ll force him to abdicate, and then we’ll all take over,” Eli explains.
“Don’t worry. We’ve got the territories all worked out,” Reece adds. “We’ll all rule our area, with you as Luna Queen over it all.”
Again, I’m caught off guard. “Me?” I ask. “Luna Queen?”
“Who else?” Mark flashes me a dazzling smile, and I feel heat rise in my face.
I think back to where I started, how my parents didn’t even love me, how I was cleaning up shit in another kingdom. Now, I am with the four most amazing men. I have four beautiful babies. And I’m about to be the Luna Queen of the entire kingdom.
It seems unreal.
“Thank the Goddess for my magical uterine horns,” I murmur.
“What’s that?” Tristan asks.
“Nothing.” I shake my head to clear it. I know I can’t talk them out of it, so I don’t bother to try. “Be careful.”
“Always,” Tristan says, raising a hand as if he’s giving an oath. One by one, my men step over to lean down and kiss me without disturbing the sleeping princesses. And that’s what they are, too. Princesses.
I take a moment to enjoy the feel of each of my Alphas’ mouths against mine, and when they are done, I tell them each that I love them and send them out into the world. I have no idea what they’re going to do when they’re gone, but I pray to the Moon Goddess they’ll all come back safely this time–and no one will be kidnapped!
