Pregnant With Four Alphas' Babies: A Reverse Harem Romance Chapter 195: A Beautiful Experience

This is the most beautiful and simultaneously the most terrifying experience I’ve ever had in my life. All I can do at this moment is stare into my beautiful daughter’s eyes and imagine the whole lifetime she has ahead of her.

I can’t even describe the relief I’m feeling now that Rose is okay. She didn’t seem too horrified that she’ll never be able to have children again, but seeing how she just gave birth to four of them, and she’s probably exhausted from the experience, it probably won’t sink in for a while. After a little coaxing, the other Alphas and I finally got her to relax, and she’s getting a little bit of rest right now.

In the meantime, we’ve all stepped into a separate room that Mark’s pack has set up as a kind of nursery, with tiny little bassinets and several glider chairs—four larger ones for us Alphas and one smaller one that’s perfect for Rose—and some soft, relaxing lighting.

I look up for a moment, and the other Alphas are still in the same mode I’m in. It’s an almost indescribable mix of shock, pride, fear, happiness, and love. The books, and all the advice I’d gotten from pack mates who are already fathers were all correct—there’s just no way to prepare for this experience.

A daughter—there’s so much to think about now that I’m a father, and I don’t even know where to start. I guess my immediate concern is how we’re going to get her fed since she’s got three brothers and sisters who all need their mother’s milk, but it seems like the doctors and nurses here in Mark’s pack have these things all under control.

I’m glad someone does.

Tristan speaks first. “Are the rest of you thinking the same thing I am?” he asks.

“I’m wondering how I’m going to teach him to be a fair, yet strong, leader,” says Mark, looking proudly at his little son.

I laugh. “I’ve got, ‘How many boys will I have to fight off?’ over here,” I say.

Everyone laughs at that, except Tristan, who gets wide-eyed and looks like he forgot to think about that. “Oh, great,” he says. “One more thing to worry about.”

“We’re all going to worry for the rest of our lives,” says Mark. “Everything changed forever the second these little ones came. But I think we can handle it.”

“I’m looking at these bright red locks and thinking, ‘Now I get to find out what my parents went through,’” says Eli.

Tristan chuckles. “That might be more trouble than mine over here,” he says. “At least Reece has a girl, too. We can team up to fight off all those undesirables who think they’re good enough for our little girls.”

“Here, here,” I say, pretending to raise an imaginary glass in a toast while careful not to change the baby’s position. She looks comfortable, and I don’t want to mess with success.

“I can’t wait for Rose to wake up,” says Mark. “We need to name these babies, but she gets first choice.”

We all nod in agreement. “She did the hard part for sure,” says Eli.

“So,” says Tristan, “what exactly happened out there?” He looks at Eli and rearranges his daughter in his arms, brushing away her dark curls, which are surprisingly long for a newborn, I think, although I’m no expert. It looks like this will be my first and only child, and I’m perfectly content with that.

Eli rolls his eyes before he breaks into a long explanation about a group of rogues who took over some abandoned resort up in the mountains somewhere, how they ambushed their vehicles, and how two of his men had died in the crash. We’re all silent for a few moments out of respect.

After a while, Tristan spoke again. “Must be a really old place,” he says. “I’ve never heard of a resort anywhere around here.”

“It looked relatively modern,” says Eli. “Although that piece of shit van had way more miles than the poor thing could stand. I’m shocked that it got me close enough to reach you all.”

“The Moon Goddess is definitely on our side in this one,” says Mark. He smiles at his son and puts a finger on his tiny cheek.

The door opens, and Dr. Travesty walks in with a few nurses. I want to stand up but don’t want to bother my precious daughter. No one else stands up either, so they all must be thinking the same thing.

“Rose?” asks Mark.

“She’s fine,” the doctor answers quickly. “But with so many babies born at once, we do need to give them a thorough check-up every so often, so we’ll need those little ones now, one at a time.”

She looks at me, and the last thing I want to do is hand my new baby daughter over to anyone, but I do it anyway, reluctantly. My arms feel so empty when the nurse takes her from me, and suddenly, a rush of dread comes over me as I wonder what it will be like when she gets married, and I have to say goodbye. What if she marries an Alpha from a distant pack? How will I ever live without her close to me?

The nurse looks at me with a polite smile, and almost as if she can read my mind, she says, “You’ll get used to this, Alpha Reece. But I know how you feel. I remember when my little daughter was brand new. I didn’t want her to leave my sight. But I promise, we’ll just have her for a few minutes, then give her right back.”

I nod and look over at the others, who I half-expect to be teasing me about it. But instead, the looks on their faces say that they’re all suddenly terrified of handing their respective babies over to the nurses as well.

“I guess we’re in this together,” I say, chuckling a little at their expressions. “And that’s a good thing. Most new fathers are on their own.”

“True,” says Mark.

“We’ll make a good tag-team,” says Tristan.

“For diaper changes?” asks Mark.

Tristan nods. “Oh, good Goddess,” he says. “I hadn’t even thought about that.”

The nurses laugh at this one, and by then, they’re done with my little girl and the same nurse hands her back to me carefully.

“She passed with flying colors,” says Dr. Travesty.

The other Alphas give up their babies one by one, and thankfully, they all get a clean bill of health. But now, my little girl is starting to fuss, and it’s scaring me.

“She’s hungry,” says the nurse. “For that, we’ll need Miss Rose’s expertise.”

We all nod, and I can see that all the babies are starting to wiggle around a bit more, so we all try to compensate by bouncing them gently.

“We’ll start with this little girl,” says the doctor, nodding her head at me and my daughter. “Let’s go see if Rose is up for nursing.”

I follow the doctor around the corner to Rose’s room, which is right next door to the nursery, and I’m happy to see that she’s awake. She looks like the Goddess herself lying there practically glowing with happiness.

“How are you feeling, darlin’?” I ask her.

“Like I want to hold that little angel,” she says, reaching out her hands.

I’m still a little awkward at this ‘handling newborn pups’ thing, but I manage the transfer successfully. Handing her to Rose is much easier than giving her to a nurse, and I sit down next to the bed while another nurse helps Rose reposition herself to feed the baby.

It’s all a little awkward at first, and it really dawns on me that Rose is just as inexperienced in all this as I am—and she has the hardest part in it all. With a little help from the nurse, who clearly has a lot of experience in this sort of thing, unlike us, our little daughter is happily sucking away in no time.

We both just stare at her, mesmerized, her tiny little hand holding onto her mother while she eats. Rose’s smile is bigger than a thousand suns, and I’ve got a grin I can’t get off my face as well.

“I love you,” I say in a whisper so as not to disturb our daughter.

Rose looks up at me, her eyes twinkling in the soft lighting. “I love you, too, Reece.”

I lean in gently and give her a soft kiss, our lips lingering for just a moment before the baby starts moving around again.

The nurse walks up. “It looks like she’s done for now,” she says. “With three others in the wings, we’d better let them all get their turn with Mama.”

“Mama,” says Rose. “That’s the most beautiful word.”

“You’re the most beautiful woman,” I say.

She smiles wider, if that’s possible, hands me back our daughter, and says, “What will we name her?”

“I think I’m going to let you decide that,” I say. “The other Alphas agree.”

Rose shakes her head. “No,” she says. “I want us to decide as a family.”

“All right,” I say. “I’m going to let the other babies and fathers have their moment for now. We’ll talk about naming a bit later. I know the others were starting to get fussy.”

“The babies or the Alphas?” she asks.

“Both,” I joke. We both laugh and I kiss her once more before I head out the room. Yes, this is a beautiful experience.
