Pregnant With Four Alphas' Babies: A Reverse Harem Romance Chapter 239: A Silent Escape
*Eli*
I’m so relieved that they’ve found Trisha. Even though I’m not her father, she’s part of our family, and with her missing, we weren’t complete. I can’t imagine how happy Rose will be when she has all four babies there in her arms.
Mark tells me that they haven’t quite gotten Trisha out of there, wherever she is, but I know that nothing is going to stop Tristan from getting his daughter back from whatever asshole is holding her. I almost feel sorry for whoever has her. Nah… they’re getting what they deserve.
With Trisha and the other pups safe, it’s time for me to focus on Kelly. My warriors have been searching for her this whole time, so I’m headed out to meet with them and see what kind of leads they’re following. Turns out, they’re pretty far away, which makes sense; Kelly would be calling for me if she were within mind-link range, unless she’s being blocked. But that’s unlikely because blocking requires an Alpha’s abilities. I don’t think there are any Alphas left who are stupid enough to try to kidnap my sister.
Trevor had been keeping me updated. Brent, Sean, and Valda are still with him out searching, and I’m happy to know that Eustace is also on the search team. I know he’s worried about Heather, who is also missing, and I hope that we find both her and Kelly safe and sound.
It takes a while, but I finally catch up with the team, who are stopped at a highway rest stop.
“Alpha.” Trevor greets me first. “I’m happy for you that you’ve found all the pups.”
“Thank you,” I say. “I want to get back to Rose, but she’s fine for now until we find Kelly. Bring me up to speed.”
“We lost her scent a while back, but we know they’d been headed in this general direction,” he says. “We must be getting close to where she can mind-link us, but no luck so far.”
I nod. “Unless there’s an Alpha holding her, but I don’t see how that’s possible with Kane dead,” I say. “Stephen is still a threat, but I don’t see that moron having the balls to pull off something like this. And I don’t understand the point of taking Kelly, either.”
Trevor shook his head. “Me neither,” he says.
“It makes no sense, especially with the pups kidnapped at the same time, unless one has nothing to do with the other,” I say.
The rest of the team, who have been inside the rest stop getting snacks and water out of the vending machines, greet me as they load up into the vehicles.
“We’ll keep heading in that direction,” I tell Trevor. “We’ll see or hear something about her eventually.”
He nods and gives me the sign of respect before getting into his vehicle. I lock up my car and join the other team in their SUV, then we head down the road in the same direction they’ve determined that Kelly was going.
‘Hang on, Sis,’ I think to myself. ‘We’re coming.’

I’m thanking the Goddess right now that whoever put these people in charge of guarding us really is one of the stupidest people on the planet—either that, or they actually want us to escape.
This is too easy.
Randolph, who was incredibly creepy at first but who is now completely on our side and is actually a nice guy, has managed to get them all drunk and half asleep upstairs. The plan is to walk right by them, which makes me nervous because I don’t know how the girls will handle that, but I know this will work.
“Thank you for this, Randolph,” I say as he unlocks my chains. He’s not supposed to have the keys, but he managed to get them after the main guard passed out and the others were busy. “How did you distract them?” I ask.
His face turns bright red and he sort of looks away. “I… I sort of found them something to watch online,” he says, still not looking at me.
I shake my head, because I can imagine what would keep a bunch of rowdy bachelors entertained, and it’s probably something of the adult variety. I don’t ask him any more questions. As long as it worked, it doesn’t matter.
After he unlocks the girls’ chains, I bring them both close to me. “Okay,” I tell them. “This will be easy; we just have to stay quiet. These guys are passed out drunk right now, so all we have to do is sneak by them, and we’ll be fine.”
Heather nods and looks determined, but Kara looks terrified. I can only imagine what she’s been through, being stuck with these awful male guards all alone for who knows how long. She doesn’t even remember what’s outside of this bunker, or whatever it is, so it’s been a long time since she’s been anywhere but here.
I’ll take her back to my pack where she can be safe and can live a normal life. Eli will see to that.
We inch up toward the door and I hold the girls behind me while Randolph stays up front. I’ll have to take him back to my pack, too, because these guys will kill him for helping us escape. He’s really not a bad guy. He just needs some help and some positive influence. I think our pack can give him that.
He stops at the top of the stairway and puts his finger to his lips. I nod—of course, we’re going to be quiet right now. Once he’s sure they’re passed out, he waves us forward, and we tiptoe up the stairs. Heather looks confident, but I can feel Kara shaking as she squeezes my hand tight.
I squeeze back and smile at her in a reassuring way. I’m a little worried that she’s going to panic right now and give us away, but we have to do this. I’m not leaving her behind. I put my hand over my mouth to encourage her to do the same, and she does, so she’s a little less likely to cry out if something happens.
Randolph gets past the guards, who are all snoozing with their heads down on the table. There’s a laptop in front of them that’s closed now, and it looks like they’d been playing cards as well. Empty and half-empty bottles of beer and hard liquor are everywhere.
Now it’s time to sneak the girls by the snoring guards, and I look back at Kara. I’m not worried about Heather at all now; that girl is tough as nails. Kara still has her hand over her mouth, so I nod at her encouragingly while I gently guide her past the sleeping men.
We’re clear of them now and on the other side of the room. Kara looks back one last time. While she does so, her foot catches on a bucket on the floor.
The banging echoes through the room, and we all freeze in place. Heather reaches down to stop it from making more noise while I look nervously at the drunk guards. One of them stirs, moving around and grunting, but he just rearranges his arm and lays right back down on it—he’s back to snoring in no time.
I don’t dare let out a breath as I move the girls forward, and Randolph goes ahead of us to open the outside door. It’s something like a hatch—I have no idea what kind of place this could be—but it’s big enough for all of us to pass through one at a time, including Randolph.
It’s dusk outside, so the sun isn’t bright, which I’m glad for. After all that time underground, I don’t think I’d even be able to see in bright sunlight.
There are no guards up top, but I feel exposed because we’re in a big open area of some sort. I point toward the tree line, indicating to Randolph to run that way.
Once there, I pause a moment and look back to figure out what kind of a place this is. Just then, a small plane starts heading our way from off in the distance. It’s getting lower and closer by the minute, and I realize this is an airport of some sort. It’s small, but it definitely has a runway and some buildings, and I see some people off in the distance who thankfully don’t seem to have seen us.
“Randolph,” I say. “That way, where the sun is setting. That’s west. I want you to take the girls and run as fast as you can that way.”
“What?” asks Kara, shaking her head. “No. We can’t go alone!”
“You’re not alone,” I say. “Randolph is with you.”
“But he’s—”
“He’s fine,” I say. “He just helped us escape. Heather, I want you to look out for Kara.”
Heather nods. I know she’s been isolated all her life, too, but she has a cool head about her and seems to have a great instinct for survival.
“Why aren’t you coming?” asks Kara, a pleading look in her eyes.
“I need to find out what’s going on here, and who is behind all this,” I say. “When you find someone, tell them to get one of the Alphas—Eli, Mark, Tristan, or Reece—whoever’s territory we’re closest to. Tell them I’m at an airport, and to send people.”
Then I look at Randolph. “I’m trusting you to take care of them,” I say.
He nods sharply, then Heather takes Kara by the hand. “Come on,” she tells her. “We gotta get outta here.”
Kara looks at me one last time then reluctantly goes with them. I wait until I can’t see them running through the trees anymore, then I start making my way along the tree line closer to the airport buildings.
I need to know what’s going on here.
