I can’t believe how much the Goddess has blessed me. I remember all the times I was hunched over on the floor of the sewage plant trying to force myself to breathe through my mouth to avoid the stench. It didn’t work very well. I also remember all those lonely nights in my high school years when I was exhausted from working and barely had time to do half my homework, knowing I’d be punished by my parents for falling behind.

I would look up at the moon and beg the Goddess to make my life better.

Now I have four beautiful children and four handsome and kind Alphas who all love me, not to mention my wonderful friends and all the caring people in Mark’s castle who are so nice to me. Had I known this was my future, I would have scrubbed those floors with a wide smile on my face.

We’re now in the courtyard of the beautiful castle, and I’m about to say goodbye to one of those dear friends. But it’s not a sad time. Kelly is going to do wonderful things for those people who have been living in that abandoned resort and are in such desperate need of help.

She’s certainly well-equipped. The whole courtyard is full of a huge caravan of people and equipment ready to fix up the resort.

Eustace is all smiles. “Remember that Eleanor needs somethin’ to do,” he says. “She don’t get around much anymore, but she’s a real wiz at the knittin’ and stuff.”

Kelly smiles back at him. “Don’t worry. We’ll give everyone something to do that suits their capabilities. She’ll be a welcome member of the pack.”

Since Eli and Kelly are the ones who discovered the place—or maybe it’s more accurate to say that the place discovered them—the Alphas have agreed that the entire grounds of the resort will belong to Eli’s pack. He’s agreed to make official pack members of anyone who wants in, and those who want to be independent can still stay there peacefully. I love how my Alphas care so much about people.

I wrap my arms around my friend and feel a few tears welling in my eyes. “I’m going to miss you.”

We pull back and Kelly shakes her head. “I won’t be gone long. Yes, it’ll take a while to rebuild the place, but I’ll be back for breaks. I don’t want to be away from my sweet little nephew very long.”

“Well, I’m so proud of you,” I say. “This is such a wonderful thing you’re doing for these people.”

“They’re good people, so it’s a pleasure to help them,” she says. “I met a few of the people who came to talk to the Alphas last night. The rest were going to meet us out here this morning. They must be around here somewhere.”

She looks around and her brow furrows slightly.

“What’s wrong?” I ask.

“I don’t know,” she says. “I just feel funny. It’s strange.”

I feel a warm, strong hand on the small of my back, and I smile. Eli’s scent fills my nostrils.

Yep, I’m a long way from the floors of the sewage plant.

“You’d better be careful on your trip,” Eli says firmly to Kelly.

She rolls her eyes. “You do remember that I’m the one who went off to rescue you, right?”

He laughs, and when he does, he pulls me closer against his warm body. Tonight is Eli’s night with me, and I can’t wait. I can tell that he’s excited for it, too.

“Yeah, yeah,” he says. “Just watch your back out there.”

“Always the big brother,” she complained. “When are you going to realize that with my warrior training, I—”

She pauses mid-sentence, and her eyes are wide and sparkly looking. It’s like her whole face is glowing. I look at Eli and he shrugs, but then I trace Kelly’s gaze and find the source of her current state.

He’s a handsome man, tall and muscular with bright blond hair, and he’s looking at Kelly the same way she’s looking at him.

“Mate,” she whispers, almost inaudibly, but I’m close enough to hear it.

I gasp and step back, taking Eli with me and leaving them some room to come together. I can’t get the grin off my face as I watch the Moon Goddess’s magic right unfold in front of my eyes. I turn to Eli, and he’s lowered his brows a tad, and I have to laugh. While Kelly and her mate join in a kiss, I turn Eli’s head so we can do the same.

“He’s her mate,” I whisper in his ear after tasting his delicious lips. “He’ll take care of her.”

Eli seems only half-convinced, and once Kelly and this guy are finally separated, he clears his throat.

“I’m going to need the name of the guy who just sucked face with my sister,” he says firmly. “And I need to know where you’re from, and whether you have a criminal record, and—”

Kelly slaps Eli’s shoulder, and that quiets him instantly, and I’m laughing so hard I’ve just about let loose those tears I was forming a moment ago when saying goodbye to her.

The man gave Eli the sign of respect. “Alpha King Eli, my apologies for not paying the proper respects before,” he says. “I’m Corbin. I came across the rogues at the resort about a week ago. They’re good people, and I’d like to see them restore the place and have a good life.”

“You seem to be an Alpha,” Eli says. “What pack are you from?”

Corbin shakes his head. “I’m of no pack. I don’t know about being an Alpha because I have no idea who my father is. My mother and I lived from place to place. Since she passed, I’ve just been on my own, doing odd jobs for a living here and there.”

“Well, it appears you’re in Beach pack now,” says Eli, holding out his hand.

Corbin takes it and shakes it firmly. “Thank you, sir.”

Eli shakes his head. “Call me Eli. And this is our beautiful Queen Rose.”

A warm smile passes over Corbin’s face as he bows to me.

I giggle. “Please call me Rose.”

I hold onto Eli as we wave goodbye, and the entourage pours out of the courtyard with Corbin’s arm held firmly around Kelly.

After a wonderful day with my Alphas and our pups, it was time for my night with Eli.

There’s a different feeling in our kisses than I’ve had with my other Alphas. Yes, I feel the same need in me to feel him inside, but there’s something else.

I just need to feel him close to me. I suppose it’s from the time he was missing, but I just can’t pull him close enough to satisfy this need.

“What’s wrong, baby?” he whispers between kisses.

So, he notices it, too.

“I don’t know,” I say. “I just… I guess it’s because of all that fear I had when you were missing.”

He pulls back from the kisses and rolls onto his back, pulling me onto his chest.

“Our babies were gone, you were gone… it’s just… I guess I never let out all the pain from that,” I say.

“It’s okay, baby,” he says, squeezing me tight. “These last few weeks have been really rough on you. You finally have some time to let all that out.”

“I don’t want to spoil our night—”

“You could never spoil a night we have together,” he says quickly. “Just being with you is enough. We have plenty of time. Just let it happen, baby.”

With that, tears stream down my cheeks, and he reaches up his hand to tenderly wipe them away. But he doesn’t try to make me stop. He just lets me cry out all the frustration I’ve been feeling. He strokes my back with his strong hands all the while.

“We’re back,” he says. “We’re safe. You never need to be away from the pups again. And Rose—” He pulls my chin up gently with his fingers so I’m looking into his eyes. “My beautiful queen, I promise I’ll never be apart from you again.”

He pulls me in for a kiss, and his lips taste so good, his tongue feels just right against mine. I moan into his mouth as he gently rearranges us so he’s on top of me. He sweeps back my hair so it’s out of my face and gazes at me. I see nothing but love in his eyes.

His lips are on mine again in the next moment, and I close my eyes, savoring his taste once again. I feel him gently spread my legs apart as his fingers work their way to my folds.

He explores outside for a moment but then moves one of them in, then two, preparing my entrance for his rock-hard cock.
