Pregnant With Four Alphas' Babies: A Reverse Harem Romance Chapter 233: Move Her Someplace Safe
*Gene*
I wave goodbye to the wonderful masseuse who’d been working her magic on my back only moments ago and make my driver and my guards head toward that useless Alpha Mark’s castle.
Being bothered by fucking idiots is not how I’d planned to spend my day. This is my spa day, the day when all the insignificant peasants clear out of the building so that they can sanitize the entire facility and ready it for my weekly treatments.
They even give it a lovely scent of lavender just before I arrive. It really is an exceptional place.
I’ve thought about just transforming a wing of the castle into a spa, but an important part of the spa experience is getting away from it all and traveling to this lovely resort setting in the woods. It’s positively peaceful, and a king has to take a break from all the work of running a kingdom once in a while, after all.
So there I was just moments ago, just settling into my first massage when that bitch Barbara had screeched into my ear. What do I care if she’s stuck in a dungeon somewhere? It’s her fault she got caught, so why the hell does it have to disrupt my spa day?
I sigh, remembering how she’d threatened to blackmail me. What an ungrateful bitch. And that’s why I need to shut her up myself, once and for all. Everyone around me is positively useless. It’s a wonder the kingdom is still standing at all.
“Hurry the fuck up,” I tell the driver through the little intercom thing. I’m sure as shit not going to breathe the same air as the useless bastard, so there’s a thick, bulletproof partition between us. He’s just another moron in a long line of morons making sorry attempts to serve me, their incredibly wonderful Alpha King.
“Yes, Your Majesty,” he says.
I just grunt and let go of the button. I have more important things to do than talk to him, like figuring out my plan for offing that little bitch, Barbara. She sure is a looker, though. It’s a shame she has to meet her demise so young. We could have been so good together.
Ah, well. It just wasn’t meant to be.
My plan is fairly simple, which is the genius behind most of my plans. I just keep everything really easy, mostly so I won’t forget what the hell I was supposed to do. Why make things complicated?
All the useless Alphas are off in different directions looking for their little brat pups, so no one is in charge back at Mark’s castle that I need to worry about. I’m the Alpha King, and I can do what I want wherever I want, so those idiots will just have to let me in the door, then I can march down to the dungeon and slit her throat. I’ll say it was self-defense.
Yep, that sounds like the perfect plan to me.
Thankfully, the spa is a lot closer to Mark’s castle than my own castle, so it doesn’t take long to get there, now that my driver is actually doing his job driving the vehicle instead of spacing out, or whatever the hell he was up to before.
We pull into the courtyard driveway, and as always when I’m out in my kingdom, my adoring subjects are thrilled and impressed with my presence. I can tell by the looks on their faces that they’re upset that I hadn’t announced my visit earlier so that they could have proper preparations in place for my arrival. Maybe they wanted to decorate and have a parade.
There’s no other explanation for the looks of shock on their faces.
I sit here once we roll to a stop and wait for my people to get their acts together. They have one job, and they can’t even do that right. They’re supposed to get my step, which helps me get out of this SUV in a more graceful manner, and ensure that it’s sturdily attached to the ground, however the hell they do that.
As the king, I cannot be seen tripping or stumbling out of my vehicle! I can’t help it the damn thing is so high off the ground.
Finally, after what seems like hours, they’ve got their shit together, and someone opens the door for me.
“Your Majesty,” says one of the men from Mark’s castle. “Welcome to River Pack. We’re thrilled to see Your Majesty, but we were not informed of your impending arrival.”
“Of course, you weren’t, you dolt,” I say. “I’m the Alpha King! I don’t have to get my schedule approved through you or anyone else.”
He sucks in his lower lip for a second and then continues, “Of course, Your Majesty. Our Alpha Mark is not here to greet you. He, unfortunately, had a family emergency to attend to. Otherwise, he would be happy to entertain you personally, I’m sure.”
The man is standing in my way, blocking my perfect exit off the step. In fact, looking around, I’m noticing quite a few of Alpha Mark’s people standing between me and the entrance to the castle. “No matter,” I say. “I’m not here to see that idi—to see Alpha Mark anyway. My business is in your dungeon. I’ll thank you to take me there immediately.”
The man takes a deep breath and sucks in his bottom lip again. Why does he keep doing that? “I’m sorry, Your Majesty,” he says. “But I’m afraid that I can’t let anyone into the dungeon without express permission from Alpha Mark.”
“What?!” I bellow in my most impressive Alpha voice. “I am the Alpha King! There is no place in my kingdom where I am not free to go whenever I please!”
“Yes, of course,” says the man.
Finally, the idiot will be submissive. I hate having to use my Alpha voice. It makes my throat tickle, and I hate tickling. Unless it comes from that beautiful masseuse with long auburn hair….
“But, Your Majesty,” he says, “I’m afraid we’ll need for the workers to finish first.”
“What workers?” I ask.
“Well, we have some renovations going on down there, and right now, the entrance is blocked until the workers finish up. It would be very dangerous to go down there now. You may trip and fall! Perhaps you would enjoy some refreshments in our lounge while the workers get things in order for you. We have quite an exquisite VIP lounge with all the drinks and food you could possibly desire.”
“I’ll be the judge of what I desire!” I say.
But a nice, stiff drink does sound good. And so does some food. That Alpha Mark seems like a well-nourished fellow—he must have a great cook here.
“I’ll permit you to escort me to the lounge. But do tell those workers to make it snappy! I have important business to attend to.”
“Of course, Your Majesty,” says the man.
He moves out of my way a bit more so I can step down in a more dignified manner, and for some reason, the crowd of people parts to create a path toward an area that, as I remember it, is opposite the direction of the dungeon. I guess they just need more time. Good thing I’m hungry and thirsty.
The man—whatever his name is, that’s not important—guides me to the VIP lounge, which isn’t as great as my own quarters, but I have to admit it’s impressive. A couple of lovely young ladies show up with big smiles on their faces and plates of delicious-smelling goodies that make me almost forget why I’m here in this miserable castle.
I’m especially enjoying the little mini sausages with the little sticks in them. They’re simply a delight, especially when one of the ladies feeds them to me.
I’ve spent a few moments in a delightful conversation with a beautiful blonde when I start to hear that screeching sound in my head again. Thankfully, since I’m present in the castle where it’s coming from, I’m able to suppress it with my Alpha powers by shutting down Barbara’s mind-link.
I’ll go kill the little bitch when I’m good and ready.

‘What?’ I ask with a sigh.
Carlton, my Beta, is messaging me in the mind-link. I’m just leaving the Jeffersons’ house, where I had to take time out of my search for Tristan’s daughter, Trisha, to make those baby traffickers admit they had Ethan, Alpha Eli’s son, and now I’m getting news that the idiot King Gene is at my castle trying to get into the dungeon.
‘I’m sorry, Alpha,” says Carlton. ‘Luckily, it’s really easy to distract him. We’re trying to get him drunk so he just forgets where he is altogether. I’m going to owe Veronica and Beverly big time, though.’
I chuckle a bit. ‘Thank you, Carlton,’ I say.
I don’t doubt that Gene wants to get to Barbara, and while I’d be glad to have the world rid of her presence for what she did to my family, I know that if Gene wants to get to her, then she must have some good information on him that could help us get rid of Gene once and for all. Since that’s the case, I need to protect her for the time being.
Eli is busy getting Ethan back to Rose as quickly as possible, and Tristan is most likely losing his mind with worry for his own daughter, so I don’t want to bother either of them.
‘Reece,’ I say in the mind-link. ‘Do you have any people left at my castle? People you can trust?’
‘Yes, of course,’ he says. ‘A whole contingent of them. Why? What’s up?’
‘I need you to help me move Barbara to someplace safe.’
