I glanced at the time; it was only 3 PM. I shook my head and said to Royce, "Not yet. I want to stop by the office first."

"Why the office? Can't wait to see who sent you those flowers?"

I couldn't help but give him a playful shove. "No, I think those flowers might be from some business partners. I need to check it out. If they have something important to discuss, I should know their intentions early. If I wait a day or two to respond, it might seem like I'm neglecting them."

Royce nodded. "You have a point."

"Alright, I'll take you to the office then. I can wait for you there, and after you finish, we can grab dinner, and I'll take you home."

He had already planned out the rest of the day for us. I smiled and said, "Okay, okay, I'll follow your lead."

Royce had been pursuing me so diligently; how could I refuse a meal with him?

Thinking about it, I realized that in a month, he would officially become my boyfriend. It made me feel a bit sentimental.

It's amazing how feelings between two people can be nurtured, how broken relationships can be mended, and old dreams revisited.

I never would have imagined this before, especially after Brandon tried to poison me. I never thought I could be happy again.

When Royce dropped me off downstairs, he naturally took my hand and led me to the office.

As soon as we walked in, we attracted everyone's attention. "Ms. Sharp."

My new assistant greeted me and mentioned that the flowers were in my office, suggesting I take a look.

I led Royce to my office, and the first thing I saw was several large bouquets on my desk.

The bouquets were quite grand, avoiding roses and other flowers with strong romantic connotations, making the room look vibrant and cheerful.

"These business partners are really thoughtful."

I picked up one of the bouquets with a smile.

Royce came over and said, "Which partners are these from? Let's check the cards."

He pulled a card from one of the bouquets.

We looked through the cards and found that about six or seven companies had sent the flowers, congratulating us on a new project we had recently won and our upcoming company anniversary.

I slapped my forehead. "I completely forgot about that during the banquet call..."

"Our company anniversary is coming up. What should we do this time?"

This was my first anniversary celebration after leaving that toxic relationship behind!

No more sharing the stage with a bad man, no more needing him to take charge. I felt so liberated!

I couldn't help but ask Royce, "What do you think? How should I celebrate?"

"The company has been through a lot this year. Maybe you could set a theme, like reflecting on the past and looking forward to the future?"

Royce's idea was good. I noted it down and looked at the other cards.

Most of them were just well-wishes, and the flowers were beautifully arranged, making the office look delightful. The only issue was that there were just too many flowers.

As we were wondering what to do with all the flowers, my assistant came in again. "If you find these flowers in the way, I can help arrange them?"

"Maybe some floral arrangements for decoration?"

I was about to agree, but then I thought about it. These flowers were a gesture from our partners. Handling them the same day they arrived didn't seem right.

So I shook my head and said, "Let's leave them for a couple of days. The flowers won't last long anyway... We can spread them out so they don't get in the way."

I walked around the office, figuring out where to place them.

"Some here, some on the desk. As long as they don't interfere with my work."

I felt a bit guilty saying that since I hadn't been in the office much lately.

Asher's project was progressing steadily, and I felt there was no need for extra communication. I also worried that frequent meetings might lead to misunderstandings and bring up old rumors, so I stayed away.

Even though the bidding project was settled, there were still many watching us closely.

And with Joanna's situation on my mind, I hadn't been focused.

The flowers from our partners reminded me that I had my own responsibilities. I couldn't slack off.

My assistant and I tidied up the office, arranging the flowers nicely. "These are thoughtful gestures, so let's keep them here."

My assistant smiled. "Alright, I'll check in daily to see if they need water or if any flowers need to be removed."

"Thank you."

After the assistant left, Royce came over and took my hand. "I think this is the first time I've seen you at work."

I laughed and pushed him away. "But I do need to handle some documents now."

The assistant had reminded me that there were a few documents waiting for my signature.

I had just sat down to work on them when there was a knock on the door.

I thought it was the assistant again, but when the door opened, it was Asher standing there.

I quickly stood up. "Asher, what brings you here at this hour?"

It was almost the end of the day, and I didn't expect anyone to come by.
