Briar said that a few days ago, Leo dropped her off at the after-school program. She never went to Oceancrest City with him.

My eyes widened in shock.

Leo had just told me he took Briar on a business trip and even visited some tourist spots in Oceancrest City.

I knew something was off. How could he take Briar on a work trip and look after her the whole time? And what about her school?

I quickly waved my hand and said, "Don't worry about it. Work comes first. A man should be dedicated to his career. Plus, you need a stable job to take good care of Briar."

Leo said a few more words before rushing off.

Once he left, Savannah and I both sighed in relief. She leaned in and said, "Caroline, that wasn't a call from his office. He's definitely up to something else."

I frowned and asked, "Should we follow him? Maybe we can see who he's meeting."

Savannah grabbed my arm and said, "Don't rush. If he's testing you, he'll notice if you follow him. And then they'll know what we're up to. The best thing to do now is to act like you don't know anything."

I nodded, but I had already messaged Royce to see if he could have someone follow Leo.

Royce quickly replied, saying everything was being arranged and Simon was also investigating Leo.
