Madeline nodded again. "But are you really not going to get rid of those flowers soon? I think you could avoid coming to the office for a couple of days, let the flowers wilt naturally, and then clear them out. They wouldn't suspect anything."

"No need for that. I said yesterday that I would start working properly from today. If I suddenly don't show up, combined with their announcement, they might suspect something. We could miss our best chance to deal with them, and I don't want that."

If they wanted to play dirty, I wouldn't hold back either.
