The White Wolf Chapter 11: First Day

Alexia tossed and turned all night. She replayed the events of the ball in her head.

Caspian seemed like he did want her but if he did then why would he sleep with another and not wait for his mate? Every wolf has a mate surely he knew she was out there somewhere?

Giving up on sleep, she rolled out of her bed and stretched. Throwing on workout clothes she left her room to meet Luca.

The twins decided to keep up their workout routine while at the palace. Luca strolled on to the training field with a smile on his face. A man in love.

"Goodmorning Lex" he said.

"Goodmorning Romeo" She responded smiling.

Alexia pushed herself even harder trying to workout her frustration. When they finished the sun was just coming up, siting on the grass they watched the skies change color.

"How is Abigail?" Alexia asked breaking the silence.

"The greatest!" Luca responded enthusuatically. "She has the an adorable nose and last night she laughed so hard she snorted. It was so cute." He sighed with a smile on his face.

"I'm happy for you Luca" Alexia said with earnest.

"Thank you Lex" he responded.

Just then they noticed a man started to lay out workout equipment, probably to be used for training that day.

He noticed them. "You're either very brave or very stupid for working out before training."

"Hopefully brave" Luca responded. "Who are you?" he asked.

"I'm Enzo, the gamma. And I believe you are the twins right? Alexia and Luca?" Enzo said.

Alexia stiffened "Yes."

"My dad used to tell me stories about your ancestor, the white wolf, and how strong your dad is. I'm curious to see if you two live up to the name." He said.

"Is that a challenge?" Luca asked smiling.

"Nah, there are some young alpha's here who I would love to see their butts get handed to them" Enzo responded casually.

"Yeah I can see that, we better grab something to eat before the games begin then." Luca responded getting up and then pulling his sister up after him. "We will see you later" He said to the gamma before walking to the kitchen with Alexia behind him.

They each grabbed some fruit and a pastry not wanting to be full when they went back to training. Luca went to check on his mate and Alexia strolled through the halls avoiding the king's quarters.

She was staring at a painting when we voice came through the air that was like nails on a chalk board.

"Oh there is the little wolf. Did Cassie already tire of you?" Delilah said like a viper striking.

Alexia felt the anger rising in her. She would not let Delilah have the satisfaction of seeing her riled.

She gathered herself and calmly said "Yes, and I am sure he went straight to your bed."

The look on Delilah's face told Alexia he did not. Satisfaction creeped into the corners of her mouth.

The grand clock chimned.

"Oh look at the time. I have to go but let's chat again soon." Alexia said over her shoulder with a sickly sweet smile.

Delilah's face was furious. She thought she could bully her to submission but Alexia was not the submissive type.

The training field was buzzing with young alphas, all eager to prove themselves. She scanned the field till she spotted her brother and the rest of the squad. They all gathered together watching the other alphas who were looking at them with distaste.

"So I guess this is how it's going to be." Thomas said nodding toward the other alphas not in their group.

"Stick together and don't hold back if someone makes a move against you" Luca said in an authoritative voice.

Just then Gabriel strolled out onto the field.

"Everyone gather around." He said flately. "I am Gabriel the beta and I will be in charge of training the male alphas."

The young alpha Grant snorted "A beta training alphas, I think not." He said laughing.

Before Grant could register what was happening Gabriel had him flipped on his back, laying him on the ground. It took a second to get breathe back into his lungs. Gasping for air he sat up with his friends trying to help him.

"Now start running till I tell you to stop little boy" Gabriel said in a voice that caused the entire class to stand straight.

"As I was saying, I am Gabriel the beta. And this is Enzo the gamma, he will train the females. Now seperate into groups." Gabe said.

Alexia followed Enzo and the other females to a seperate part of the field. "Goodmorning Ladies, we will start with a warm up and then I want to see where you all are at in your training." Enzo anounced.

Alexia did not want to give away her skill just yet so she half heartedly went through the exercises. Even at half her speed, she was still stronger than most females. She paired off with Tabatha for the sparring portion. Tab was strong and worked Alexia hard. After their workout, the girls made their way over to the boys where they were almost done. Grant was still running.

Caspain was walking over to Gabe. Alexia saw him and quickly diverted her eyes but she heard him say "Gabe why is that wolf running?"

"Oh shit I forgot about him." Gabe responded "You can stop running!" He called across the field causing Grant to fall over in exhaustion.

The boys were almost done sparring when the girls circled them. Luca was sparring with a hothead young alpha, more like toying with but only those who knew him would know he was not trying."

"Finish him brother so we can be done." Alexia said nonchalantly causing raised eyebrows from Caspain, Gabe, and Enzo who thought the fight was hard. In a second Luca had his opponent on the ground tapping out. A look of surprise was evident on Gabe's face at Luca's ability.

Luca strolled over to his mate, planted a kiss on her lips, and said "Let's go" to the rest of the group.

The squad walked off the training field leaving Caspain, Gabe, and Enzo starring after them.

"I could tell Luca was good but I did not think that good. Plus, I don't think that was his full strength" Gabe said stunned.

"Alexia is strong too. I watched the females. She's the best. Also, the twins worked out this morning before training. I saw them when I was setting up." Enzo added.

"They did?" Caspain asked.

"Yeah, your mate is strong" Enzo said looking at Caspian.

"A queen." Gabe added.
