The words spilled out of her mouth about how they had been speaking on Staggs but Blossom told them stories of white wolves. She tried to recall every detail of the book to relay it to her mate.

Caspian sat quietly as she told him about the white wolves and the stag and how they might be connected.

"There seems to be more to the story than we thought." His eyebrows furrowed. "Either that or it is all folklore and you just have unusual fur."

Turning her head, she looked at him and spoke "But I have always been stronger than the other wolves."

She did not say to be boastful but as a matter of fact. Her brother and she had never lost a fight with other wolves since they were smaller.

"Yes, but you have also been kept hidden as well so you've never really stretched your legs to see what you are capable of." Caspian agreed with her.

Alexia wondered what she was capable of, could she be more powerful than she already was? What if she stretched her legs as Caspian said?

Seeing her in thought he continued to try and ease her worries. "Why don't you discuss it with your father? He may notice something we did not?"

Alexia nodded with his conclusion in agreement.

Squeezing his mate in his arms, Caspian had other things he wished to do with his queen.

"But there is also another matter we need to discuss," Alexia told her mate.

"There's more?" Skeptically he asked, weary of what was to come.

"According to Blossom, there is a blood moon coming up? and it seems to have some importance?"

"Oh, that." His words were evident in his lack of urgency on the matter.

"Yes, that. What are were going to do about it?"

"Well, normally we host a celebration in the woods but with all the attacks I was planning to either move it indoors or not have it at all." He said nonchalantly.

"Is that wise? won't others be suspicious or even worse think we are vulnerable.

He rubbed his temple and let out a groan. "That thought seems to be the consensus. Honestly, I need to speak with my mother as to what the celebration entails. I do not remember everything." He confessed.

"Is that not something I should do?" She questioned the statement.

"Normally, yes but I did not overwhelm you as you are still adjusting."

"Overwhelm me?" She looked at him with a hint of insult in her eyes.

The thought of not fulfilling her duties upset Alexia.

"I just meant, you are still learning but by all means take control." He said slightly exasperated as if he were trying to defuse a bomb.

"Very well, I will then." She said sitting straighter and acting a little haughty.

The movement had Caspian smiling. His hand resumed its traversing of her body, his fingers slightly touching her as they moved up and down.

"Enough of this unpleasant talk, I have missed you terribly and missed seeing your face."

"You mean your advisers, don't look as pretty as me? I am going to tell Gabe."

Caspian let out a grunt and his mouth formed a side smile. "Please do, I'm getting tired of seeing his face."

"Oh no, a lover spat perhaps?" She asked in a mocking tone.

Rolling his eyes he said, "He nags me more than you do."

Offended Alexia looked at him. "I do not nag you!"

"Exactly!" He laughed trying to give her a peck but instead, she scowled at her.

"No, no kisses for you." She said as she crossed her arms and pouted.

"Oh no, are you punishing me?" Pretending to be scared, he fought his smile.

"Yes, yes I am."

He poked her treating to playfully dispel her mood "So, no kisses?” He teased.

"Yes, no kisses for you." She tried to stand firm.

"No kisses... anywhere?" His breath was on her neck and she could feel her resolve and anger slipping away. She clung to the scraps of her willpower that remained.

"I said." He repeated. "No kisses anywhere?" He was challenging her resolve. The alpha in him was invigorated by the idea of having her concede to him.

She could feel the smile in his voice that both excited her and also made her determined not to give in to him.

He slowly placed a kiss behind her ear.

She shuttered but stood firm, using everything she had to keep turned away.

He placed another on her jawline.

“I’m sti-ll ann-oyed with you.” Her voice shook as she spook as she mostly trying to convince herself.

“Mhmm.” He mumbled as his lips continued their journey along her skin.

She turned to him, opening her mouth to speak but instead, he pressed his lips to hers.

Stunned she did not move. A heartbeat later she sank into the kiss forgetting her reasons for not accepting his advances sooner.

A moan came from Caspian as his tongue slipped between her cheeks. He was famished for her so his mouth feasted upon her as if he had been starved.

A loud banging at the door broke Alexia from her trance causing her to startle, separating their lips.

The sound came again shaking the doors. Alexia looked at her mate expectantly.

Caspian however looked unperturbed and tried to kiss her again but she leaned back confused. "Ignore him and he will go away."

Another banging came again. "You should probably answer that it."

"I will deal with it tomorrow and give him a lesson on manners." The annoyance was obvious in his voice at being interrupted.

"Who is it?" Alexia asked in a confused whisper as she looked at the door and then back to her mate.

Before the king could answer a voice came after another banging. "Your majesty." Gabe's voice sounded serious.

A growl came from Caspian at the mood of being killed by his beta. He took a minute to compose himself but the annoyance was still on his face when he said "Come in."

The door opened immediately and Gabe hurriedly walked in with a piece of paper in his hand that he was looking down at. "Your majesty-" He began till he looked up and saw Alexia sitting on the king's lap. "Uh, um your majesties." He said at the realization and able to feel the displeasure radiating from the king. Interrupting the king alone with his mate was dangerous.

"What is it?'" Caspian barked.

"We received a message from Luca." The beta spoke, not wasting any time. His eyes were alert and full of urgency.
