The White Wolf Chapter 28: While the king is away....

Caspian left early the next morning before the sun had risen into the morning sky. Alexia had not yet risen. Before he left, he gave Alexia a simple kiss on the cheek not wanting to wake his sleeping mate. He proceeded to place a single rose on his pillow for her to find when she woke, with one last longing glance he left.

The morning sun rose in full force filling the room with light causing Alexia to dazidly open her eyes from the brightness. She gazed up at the ceiling collecting her thoughts as she woke up. Rolling over to rise out of the bed her hand made connect with the rose Caspian had left behind for her. She looked at it, studing every petal thinking of her mate. Her hair was disarayed across the pillow. The sheets intwinned with her body as she used them to her frame from the previous nights activities.

The day was inviting but all she wished to do was lay in bed, wanting for her mate's return. After much debate she finally decided to drag herself away from the safety of the bed. After a quick wash she was putting on her work out gear to go in search of her brother.

She slipped from the royal apartments in silence that would impress a mouse from years of stealth practice. After a few minutes she head the approach of someone in a hurry. Turning she saw Enzo coming toward her.

"Your highness, please do not leave without letting me know." Enzo spoke to her in a breathy worried tone that surprised her. "How did you slip past me? No one has gotten past me in years..." he trailed off in a confused voice mostly speaking to himself.

Dumbfounded she simply responded with a tilt of her head "I walked out the door."

"You walked out the door" Enzo repeated in disbelief shaking his head. "It seems I am not as good as I thought I was, where are we off to?"

It took Alexia a second to process what he said before saying "The t-training ground" She started before clarifying "To find my brother." She said more asertively.

"Well then do not allow me to delay you any longer your highness, please lead the way." He said with a gesture of his hand.

As she approached she found Luca lounging to the side watching a group of young alphas and Gabriel with a smirk on his face.

"What are you doing?" she asked him curiously at the sight of his smirk.

Adding even more to his smirk he answered "Enjoying the show" causing his sister to probe him even more "What show?" she said stretching onto the tips of her toes to see over the towering alphas that were gathered around in a circle.

"Well you see" He began "Billy badass over there or whatever his name, decided he did not like Beta Gabriel's critique of his training." Alexia looked over to see a young red in the face staring at Gabriel with his arms crossed in front of his chest like an upset child.

"You are mistaken, I did much better on the exercise than the score you gave me!" He said and Alexia could of sworn she saw him stomp his foot.

"Pretty bold of him to speak that way to Gabriel." Alexia said to her brother.

Letting out a snort Luca responded "I am not surprised, the king is away and they think they can do whatever they want. They think that because Gabriel is a beta they can speak to him and treat him however they want since they are alphas. They are stupid though because he could wipe the floor with them all. He is a beta but the king's beta."

Alexia surveyed Gabriel's casual stance, he was not intimated in the least bit. Luca continued "To be honest with the king away, I am surprised half of them are not hiking their legs to mark their territory."

Enzo laughed behind them "I wish I could say that has not happened before but then I would be lying."

Luca laughed as the alpha's voice grew. "I will tell my father about this!"

"Go on! Tell your daddy and your mommy too!" Gabriel retorted with a smile on his face causing the alpha's to grow more red if that was even possible.

As if on cue Alexia heard "Who are you to tell me what to do beta?" the young alpha spat at Gabriel.

Gaberiel laughed at his arogance. "Princess, on these training grounds I am the God almighty and I can make your expierence misearble or great. The choice is yours."

Then the alpha grew even more careless. "You got your own brother killed and now your going to lecture me on training?" The alpha roared

In a voice that sent trembles through everyone standing around, the laughter that was in his voice evaporated and was replaced with ice Gabriel spoke "If you ever speak of my brother again" He said wrapping his fingers around the young alpha's throat. "I will rip into you so bad into shreds they will not be able to identify you." The young alpha's face turned red but not from anger now from a lack of oxygen.

Enzo approached Gabriel from behind placing a hand on his shoulder, signaling Gabriel to release his prey.

The young alpha dropped to the ground with a thud. Gasping for air his friends tried to help him up. Alexia and Luca exchanged a quick look.

In what felt like was hours but in reality was only a matter of a few seconds, Gabriel spoke. "Back to work." He said lowly and slowly but it sent all of the group his was training running into motion.

Enzo reported to Gabriel that Luca would be training with Alexia and he gave a nod of agreeance.

Luca and Alexia looked at Enzo expectantly as he made his way back over to the sibling pair. As he approached, all he said was "Not now." Letting them know he would not be telling Gabriel's story at that moment.
