Caspian came into the study with water dripping from his freshly showered hair. He wore a black T-shirt and jeans. Looking at Alexia his heart swelled. She had chosen the seat closest to his.

Gabe and Enzo trailed in behind him. The air was sad. They had lost warriors in battle that day, nobody smiled.

Enzo spoke first "We lost five warriors. Their families will be notified after this meeting."

"I will speak with the families." Caspian said in a solem voice, cutting enzo off.

"We have some in the hospital but no life threatening injuries." Enzo said as he went on.

Gabe nodded along. "The bodies of the rogues were inspected than burned. We didn't find anything of interest."

"Tomorrow we will question the rogues. Give them some time to sit and think about where they are." The king said to the group.

"How did y'all end up there?" Enzo asked looking at Edmund.

"We were at the falls when we heard Caspains call for the guard. It had to be bad if he was calling for back up." Edmund said calmly.

"What happened?" Luca asked.

"They split into two groups, so we split to follow them to make sure they didn't infiltrate any further into the kingdom. But it was an ambush, They circled back and jumped the king's group. We were not far behind but there were a lot of rogues...." Gabe answered trailing off.

"They're planning something I don't know what or how but I will not let this happen again." Caspain said angryily thinking about the warriors he lost.

The room became silent before Gabe spoke. "Sooooo.... are we not gonna talk about the elephant in the room?" He asked.

"What?" Enzo said turning toward him looking confused.

"Oh right, you weren't there. Those two-" he said pointing at the twins "Are white wolves. Not one but TWO white wolves."

Enzo's face was white as a ghost. Speechless.

"Yeah" Alexia began. "Dad has tried to keep that a secret for as long as possible."

"Why? If I were you I would be struttering around every chance I got." Gabe said in surprise.

"Because it makes us targets." Luca stated, annoyed with the beta.

Caspian growled at the thought of Alexia being a target. She placed her hand on his and he calmed down immediately.

"If we can, I would like to keep this quiet for now, with alpha training going on and everything." Alexia said looking at Caspian.

He nodded and turned to Gabe. "Make sure the warriors do not say a word. Alpha Silver was right to keep you two a secret."

"This explains why they absolutely destroyed training. One day, I want to see you to go full out." Enzo said amazed.

"If there is nothing else I would like to go see my mate." Luca said looking at the king.

Caspian nodded. Edmund left following Luca. Enzo and Gabe left not too long after they did.

The study was silent. Caspian felt the loss of warriors weighing down on him like a ton of bricks.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Alexia asked unsure of what to do.

"No, Thank You. I need to go talk to the families. I owe them that." He said solemly. He took Alexia's hand in his and looked in her eyes. "You could have been hurt." he said as if even the thought was unbearable.

"But I wasn't. I heard your howl... I had to get to you." She said in a whisper.

"You are a white wolf." He said in wonderment.

"Yes. Very few people know. My family and a few close friends are the only ones that know about us." She said.

He nodded in agreement. "Your dad is not stupid, I have always trusted his judgement. Alexia, I will protect you. No one will touch you."

"Hey, I can hold my own." She said proudly.

"Oh I know you can. Even before today, you and your brother baffled Gabe and Enzo but now it all makes sense." He said trailing off.

She blushed looking down. Caspian placed his hand under her chin, tilting it up to look at her. "You saved me today." He said, his eyes glittering with sincerity.

"I guess that's what mates do. They save each other ..." She responded. As the words left her mouth Caspian's attacked hers.

His lips carressed hers begging for entrance. She moaned as she let his tongue slip into her mouth. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her up out of her chair and placing her on the edge of his desk. Her hands locked in his hair grabbing anything she could.

Caspian broke away causing a complaint from his mate. He kissed her cheek then planted more kisses along her jaw, down her neck, and across her collarbone. Alexia hand left their place in his hair and made their way to the base of his shirt. She ran her fingers along the top of his jeans. He took in a sharp breath.

Caspian pressed himself againist her. She could feel his hard member between her legs causing her to become wet. Just as she reached to unbotton his jeans. There was a knock at the door.

Caspian growled. Not like any growl he had ever released before. It shook the walls.

"I thought I would remind you, we still have to meet with the families." It was Gabe. At the sound of his voice Alexia came back to her senses.

"I'm gonna kill him." Caspain said flatly causing a giggle from Alexia. Her laughter caused his anger to evaporate. She leaned her head on his chest as he kissed the top of it.

Taking a step back, caspian straightened himself and Alexia got off the desk. "Another time" She said kissing his lips and then making her way to the door. Right before she got there, she looked back over her shoulder and said "Besides, you still owe me a date." And left the room.
