Werewolf
The White Wolf Chapter 13: Weekend Trip
"Ok guys!" Hazel said around the lunch table. "We need a break. I am tired of these people. Let's do something this weekend!" She said Excitedly.
"I think some time away could be good for us, we've been here for a few weeks. Let's do it!" Chris agreed with his mate.
"But what is 'it'?" Tabatha questioned raising an eyebrow.
"I would like to rest part of the weekend, we've been so busy with classes and training. " Alexia said to the group.
"But we haven't had an outing with Abi!" Hazel said pleading, using her best puppy eyes.
"Alright, we'll do something but just a day trip so we can make it back and rest." Luca gave in smiling at his mate he picked up her hand and placed a kiss on it.
"Well" Edmund began "There is a a waterfall not to far from here, we could hike to."
"That's a great idea!" Tabatha exclaimed.
"Let's leave tomorrow in the morning" Luca said
"Should we pack bathing suits! We will be gone most of the day so we should pack a lunch...." Hazel started planning their little trip.
Alexia's thoughts drifted to Caspian. Each morning they sat and talked over breakfast. She began to look forward to their talks. The way he looked at at her as if she was the most important being on the planet. It made her blush. She was beggining to think she could care for him.
He truly listened to her. They would discuss politics and life. Her opinion was always welcomed as they talked about matters of the court. She found herself stalling to keep their talks longer.
She would find books in her chair in the library that he would leave for her with a single red rose on top. She saved every one. That terrible night held her back. Caspian leaned in as if to kiss her one morning but she pulled away. She didn't know how she felt or what to think, maybe some time away would be good for her. A chance to clear her head.
After lunch was finished, Alexia made her way to her little nook in the library. When she rounded the corner, she froze. Leaning againist her chair was Caspian. He stood there in jeans and a green button down and had the sleeves rolled to his elbow.
He twirled a rose in his hand as he looked up from his phone at her.
"Hi" he said softly slipping his phone in his pocket. "Sorry to startle you, I just needed to talk to you."
Catching her breathe, Alexia said "It's no problem."
"This is for you" He said extending the rose to her.
"Thank you" she said taking it in her hand. The air became awkward before Alexia spoke again "What is it you wanted to talk about?"
"Oh, Right!" Caspian said snapping out of his daze. "There has been an increase in rogue activity on the borders. So I need to check it out. I will be taking some of the royal guard with me and patrol the borders."
"Oh" Alexia responded. "I didn't realize it was getting bad..." Trailing off at the end.
"To be honest... I don't know what they want." He said with a look of confusion. "Anyway while I am gone, I would appreciate it if you would be careful. People get weird when the king is away. Enzo will be here but with all the alphas the egos will be high."
Alexia nodded "How long will you be gone?" She asked.
"I'm not sure but not very long." He said unable to know how long he would be gone.
"I will watch out for any trouble, the squad was going to hang out at the waterfalls this weekend and just rest." She told him.
"That's good. Get some rest and the waterfalls are in the middle of the kingdom so they'll be safe." He said approvingly.
"Alexia" He began. "May I take you out on a date?"
Alexia swore she saw him starting to sweat. She watched him as his eyes looked at her. Begging. After a minute she responded with "You May."
Caspian released a breath that almost knocked Alexia over and a smile spread across his face. "Thank you, well I will let you get to your reading. I'll see you when I get back I guess." He said then turned and walked away.
Alexia set her drink and rose on the table next to the chair. She turned when she heard footsteps approaching. She saw Caspian walking back to her.
He walked straight for her placing his hands on either face. He crashed his lips to hers.
Alexia was stuned for a second unsure of what was happening but then she kissed him back. She opened her mouth allowing his tongue entrance. Caspian released a moan when she did. The electricity in the kiss pulled them together unable to let go. Craving for more.
Their tongues danced for what seemed like hours but actually a few heartbeats. Caspian broke away, leaving them both gasping for air. As they sucked in air they starred into each other's eyes. Desire. Caspian removed his from her face and snaked one waist and the other behind her kneck.
Alexia could barely stand. Her body on fire, unable to hold herself up. As their breathing slowed Caspain said "I could not leave till I did that."
Alexia regained herself and found feeling in her legs again. Caspian gave her light kiss on the lips and then released her and left the library.
Stunned, Alexia stood there. She traced her lips with her finger tips trying to process what had just happened. She knew it was intense and exhilerating and most importantly, she liked it and wanted more.
She replayed the scene in her head for the rest of the aftenoon. Any hope she had of reading was gone. All she could think about was Caspian.
