They were all tied up, though I could already tell that this was going to be a shit show. Grisham, Brutus’s son, and Keithelas, his grandson were tied to posts on the very platform that was made for Vincent. His daughters were there too, making a total of four. It would have been five, however their mother died of some kind of magic in the car. I could only assume that there was enough hatred built up from years of wrongdoing, that a curse from someone must have stuck. I walked in front of them up the stairs, getting defiant glares from them all, even the women, and I chose to address the crowd first.

“For those who know, my mate and I killed Brutus a little while back, but what you don’t know, is that his son broke pack and wolf law. He called the Church, revealing the location of the Crown Prince’s son, making it difficult for them to even go home and have their pup.” There was a hushed panic by my pack members who chose to come see, however I held my hand to silence them. “I don’t think they know our location, but we’ve been treating it as if they do until proven otherwise. I’ve spoken to their leaders, and so far, there has been peace. Wards are in place to insure their weapons don’t work. I was told to do with them as I see fit, however, Alpha Caleb should be the one who does this.” I gestured to the already shifted Caleb.

I, Third Prince Caleb sentence Grisham Finnand death on grounds of treachery. He snarled in wolfspeach.

“I did what anyone would’ve done. You’re too young boy, why not leave this to the elders before I hurt you pup?” He scoffed; however, he was clearly intimidated. Caleb looks like a smaller version of the King now; his paws and mouth even smoked like him.

“Do you accept or not?” I said untying him. Above all, no Alpha would back down from a legitimate challenge, or in this case, dying with honor

“I have no choice but to.” Grisham growled. He shifted, trying to jump off the stage, attempting to lunge at Isabelle and Mini. I shifted before I knew it, grabbing him by the back of the neck, while others either shifted to protect their Luna, or backed up to get out the way. I don’t think I’d ever reacted that fast before, and it completely knocked the air out his lungs as I slammed him to the stage with enough force to crack the wood.

Caleb’s eyes flickered from red to gold until they stayed that way, and I could only assume he accessed his innermost power because of the stress of his mate’s danger, as she stood nearly next to Isabelle. At the end of the day, it would be her they would be after, since for some reason, they seemed to target her. They likely knew the secret somehow, but more importantly they hated all non- wolf shifters.

You can’t even die with a little dignity. I snarled, dragging him to the center of the stage, and letting him cough.

He shifted and coughed blood. The bite I gave him would have him bleed out soon enough, but he had words to share.

“I would’ve died happy with that bitch in my teeth; Wolves shouldn’t lay with dogs, and demons shouldn’t lay with wolves.” He coughed, and there was outrage, but I let him speak. “You are nothing but destruction.”

“Yes, and I do a good job minding my own fucking business. I’ll see you later.” I said walking over his corpse. Caleb was his wolf, still protecting his mate. He looked as if he’d lost his mind, but I would leave him be. He likely just needed to know she was safe.

“Keithelas what do you have to say for yourself?” I asked shifting back, and there was a bit of a chuckle from him, until I skinned his father in front of them. It only took a tug, and I tossed the bloody hide to the side for tanning later myself. There was a moment of silence from the crowd, though I don’t think any from my pack were surprised.

“Nothing really. My father has done all the talking for me. My head will roll either way, but hopefully the Church will avenge us.” He said looking up. “It’s its own silent torment that sits in the back of the mind of a sinner who knows he’s going to Tartaron. But Who knows, maybe the Light might reward me from Hell’s grip knowing I would be the tip his people needed to kill a son of the Horned One.”

“What do you mean by that.” Commanded Kaiden, and he smiled.

“You know full well ‘prince’ Kaiden. They know where you traitors sleep. You all say you love your people, but you house the whore-!” He shouted, but I wouldn’t let him finish. I clawed his throat.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. “I swear to the Lady I’m likely going to end your whole fucking line right now, even taking my exception away from your gods damned pups so I don’t have to do this a few decades later anyway. Did you all do fairy dust? Mushrooms? Drink Minitour piss? Because you lot are too fucking bold, and I’ve lost my patience.” He’d died before he could answer. I was done. All that was left were his two sisters, and they were terrified and silent. “I didn’t even get to start why he was here, but he aided his father willingly, so he can willingly join him in hell.” I grumbled, clawing his restrains angrily, and ripping the pelt off his forcibly shifted body. His golden red fur would look nice on my floor, but if I keep this up, my entire office will be a fucking fur rugged room.

There was agreement with the elders who came, but they were not done. “Alpha Bryson, may I request Talli and Tella? They are the reasons why I only have one living pup. I would have had four.” Asked Phillip, and I nodded.

“Whatever they’ve done to you, by all means end them here or in your pack. I’ve had my fill. These bastards won’t even die right.” I grumbled tossing the pelt with the other, and there were chuckles.

Caleb was still his wolf, and Kaiden was with him looking ready to shift if need be, but I would worry for my mate. Isabelle was fine, but her eyes were red with anger. She wanted more than anything to have killed them herself, but I would never let her do that.

“Bryson, they tried to kill Mini.” She growled hugging me. “Who tries to attack a pregnant woman when they’ve been challenged?” She asked.

“Cowards.” I hugged her, and patted her head a little. Her eyes flashed the same gold as Caleb, though hers didn’t stay that way. It took some time for him to shift back, but he never let his mate go.

“I suppose these two want mercy?” said Phillip on stage. “I’m not so petty, but these two are just as guilty as their father and brothers. I couldn’t get my hands on Brutus, or Grisham, but you two….” He looked up at the sky. “You two were always the ones to do his most malicious crimes.”

“And if we had our way, there would be none of your mixed blood line. You could have gotten a pureblooded mate.” Grumbled the one on the left. I still couldn’t tell them apart.

“You can’t egg on a man who’s wanted to get his claws on you for over four thousand years. And I didn’t want one of your line; you’re half my age.” He said with narrowed eyes.

“For what it’s worth, at least we made them die quick. Just because they were a mistake didn’t mean they had to suffer like father wanted.” Said the other.

“I knew Brutus, you didn’t go against him because you pitied my pups, you did because they were 5 and 3 summers old. They just didn’t have enough blood to make your poison linger too long. I’m taking these two to my pack personally so Frigus can have some solace.” He said icily. Whatever he had planned they deserved. If they’d done this to my pups I wouldn’t have the patience to share words. I don’t know how he did. I could only assume at this point he only ran on hatred.

“I will join if Alpha Bryson Aproves. He is Third Lune.” Said Ronitus, the Second Seat. “My son may live, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want answers. Like how your kin infiltrated my pack in the first place.” He said taking two steps forward.

“I’ll allow it. Also I feel like these two need to be kept alive. They are the last two living who would know their father’s dirty work. As tempting as it is to end them when you get them to your pack, I suggest at least interrogating them.”

“When you’re done, they can spend the rest of their eternity in Horizon.” Chimed in Caleb. “As Third Prince I have as of yet to spill the blood my wolf craves.”

There was general agreement. I didn’t care if they died, but I had a feeling letting them live held more weight. With them dead, all their father’s secrets would die with them. That’s more important than revenge.
