The Prisoner’s Princess Chapter 54
Isabelle
“Are all of you done acting like spoiled pups?” Said Alpha Phillip, rubbing his temples. “The next motion is for the removal of Alpha Bryson on the grounds of brutality. This emergency meeting was called because of the skinning of Alpha Pine alive, and sending his remains to Alpha Opal.” Said Phillip.
“The pup killer deserved it.” He growled, and there were murmurs.
“What evidence can you present for this accusation?” Asked an elder.
“Well for one, he instructed his mate to try and poison me, as well as openly admitting it, and also one of our Betas was a live witness to WaterMoon’s Alpha family assassination.” I said, and there were murmurs of discontent.
“She is not an Alpha; she has no right to speak.” Said the, Alpha Ryan. I didn’t remember the pack, but I knew he was an ass. He bordered Opal, so I think it was YellowMoon.
“He is right.” Said Alpha Phillip, but Bryson cracked his knuckles. My dad and Alpha Phillip, even the council wondered what he would say.
“Alpha Isabelle of PineMoon, continue.” He said casually. I was shocked, and there was an uproar of men jumping from their seats at the table.
“You cannot do this! This territory is still contended for.” Snarled Alpha Greg Opal.
“No, Alpha Pine lost that territory; forfeit for leaving the territory during a legal challenge.” Said Alpha Phillip. “Continue Alpha Isabelle.”
“There was also the issue of abandonment of nearly 1,804 wolves. They were in danger from Rouge attacks because of his actions. He was an unfit Alpha, as well as a shit mate and father. He even abandoned his true mate and pups to save the very hide still bleeding in that t shirt.” I said, and there were more murmurs. Woman or not. I was right.
“So, you would agree with the actions of Alpha Bryson?” asked another elder. This was beginning to smell like an investigation.
“Yes, he may have punished them harshly, but they showed no remorse to the wolves they led, nor the innocent.” I paused thinking of my words. “And I know you all are about to put pictures of the Rouges he skinned. They literally litter the unmarked lands he migrated through for years as warnings. I motion that they be revoked as evidence on the grounds of relevance.” I said firmly. My father looked proud, while Bryson was a bit confused.
“I object.” Said Alpha Opal, and the majority of the room raised their hands.
“No, I wish to see.” Said Alpha Phillip. His icy blue eyes looked sternly at the photos, and they were passed to the other elders.
“Here they are Alpha.” Said an elder.
“Does he do this to pack members?” Asked Phillip very seriously. His eyes flashed white a few times, so he was talking with his wolf.
“Never.” Said Bryson with conviction. “My claws are for my enemies.”
The High Advisor’s phone went off, and he took the call. He seemed to be talking to the Beta who saw what Vincent did, as well as random pack members. They without influence or question vouched for my mate. He really was trying.
“My Omega has contacted me, and I have made my decision. Though you all will not like it. I will not overturn PineMoon, as it has been recognized by the court that he fled. His fear was warranted, as no one wishes to be skinned alive, however he was to defend the pack. He failed. He also illegally killed Alpha Waters and his family, and since there are no known living relatives, Alpha Isabelle still holds this territory as well. If one is found he may challenge.” He said putting three of the ten folders on his right side.
“I challenge Alpha Isabelle for PineMoon.” Said Alpha Black of BlackMoon. If I wasn’t pregnant with pup, I would accept it, as it would extend Bryson’s territory to the Jentuky border. Well to the Mississippie River anyway. As much as I would love to be the leader of a pack, being Alpha for real would pretty much separate me and Bryson politically, and physically at times. I couldn’t see that happening.
“We will schedule the Red Room for two years after her pups are born.” Said Phillip.
“No, I want to settle this now.” He demanded like a petulant child, and Phillip showed no emotion. Bryson looked worried, but my dad didn’t. I can’t shift like this!
The elders linked each other for a long time before Alpha Phillip leaned back in his chair.
“Granted.”
“Surely there must be another way.” Said my mate, who was on the verge of losing it. I could feel it, but I would figure something out.
“No. Someone needs to put that little girl in her place if you won’t.” He snarled, and there were soon growls and snarls until Phillip let out a growl that submitted most in the room.
“Her place is crushing your fucking scull.” Bryson snarled.
“Enough!” Boomed Alpha Phillip. After the meeting there will be a Red Room Challenge for PineMoon. Those who wish to watch or challenge after may observe.” He snapped.
Alpha Black held a smug look on his face the rest of the meeting, and I began to get a little nervous. Bryson held my hand, and my dad linked encouraging words, but I couldn’t see myself in the ring with another male after last time…. I still had thin lines on my face from what Chris had done to me.
Bryson carried me up the stairs, but there was a red glow that reflected off the walls. There were no lights here that were red, except for an exit sign… but that couldn’t have been it. It was moving with me. It was Bryson. His eyes were a combination of his and Ven’s, exhaling white steam. He smelled like a combination of forest rain and wildfire smoke… but it was unreal the power he radiated. It comforted me in a way…. Because when I forfeit, there could still be a chance that he kills me…. or my pups
When we got to the concrete red room, the door echoed with a slam. It was already full of many of the Alphas who wished my death, though the joke was on them, if I did die, everyone in that room would meet the lady with me.
“This is an official Territory Fight. No interference. Shifting is allowed. Alpha Bryson please put down your mate and come to the arena.” Said Alpha Phillip.
“What? I am not challenging for the other territories.” Said Alpha Black.
“Well, they are mates. By law, you cannot challenge a pregnant female and you said you didn’t want to wait.” He responded casually.
“I can wait.” He said, changing his tune. Bryson cracked his knuckles.
“Well, I can’t.” Said my mate with a small smile just creasing his lips. Once a challenge was initiated, he would either forfeit or die.
“Begin.” Said an elder, and Bryson walked slowly to him.
“I forfeit!” He screamed, and my mate stopped. Just short of arm’s reach.
“You do know you aren’t leaving this building alive right?” I said casually, and Bryson growled. It was Ven that had taken over now. Glitter was excited, she didn’t like violence, but she loved our mate, and loved that he protected us. Also, forfeiting is still losing. It was up to my mate to decide what to do with him. I’d never known him to be merciful.
“Your plan was to kill my mate; you care nothing for land. There is too much territory and two packs in between what you would yearn for.” He said taking two steps forward, and Alpha Black took two steps backward.
“Wolf it is your right to kill the threat to your mate, but do not skin him.” Said an elder.
“I do not wish his pelt.” Ven growled a low rumble that you could feel in your gut. He was serious, and completely fired up.
The Alpha tried to run, but Ven was much to close, grabbing him by the neck. He raised him in the air, and extended his claws. He used his claws to cut off his shirt while he strangled him. He then drew a dotted line across his belly lightly with them. Alpha Black passed out from either the lack of air, or the fear of what my mate planned to do….
“What a shame; I squeezed him too hard. I wanted him to feel this.” Said Ven, reaching around and pressing his thumb in his lower back, and slowly cut the man in half. He other half plopped to the floor, and he dropped the rest of him on the ground.
“I surrender my Alpha status to my mate.” I said very quickly, though I didn’t sound fearful. He killed for me, so why should I be the one groveling? Thankfully my thought calmed my wolf, who truly didn’t like being reminded of how much stronger my mate was than me. I could smell that I was the weakest wolf in the room, I was a pup compared to these old geezers, yet my mate could do THAT.
“Are you happy now?” Said Phillip to Ven impatiently. He handed me the papers to BlackMoon, and I put it in Bryson’s folder.
“No. There are still wolves who wish to hurt my mate and pup.” He growled. “Also, this is very boring. I thought I was going to fight someone.” He complained.
“Well, go be bored at home, this meeting is over.” Alpha Phillip walked out the room with a small frown, linking most likely the Omega staff, because they came in cleaning suits and picked up the halves of Alpha Black.
