I woke up to an empty bed, and I was a little disappointed, but I had an idea of what he was doing. He was most likely doing something patrol related, or trying to make the pack safe. I dressed inside my tent, and took my phone. The moment the door opened, it felt almost like when I lived at home the way I was treated. No… it was more. At home I was Alpha’s daughter… here I was Alpha’s mate.

Here I Was Luna, and they respected me. The bows that were given were deep and the respect that was given was true. Now it was my turn to be true to them. I called my grandfather. Something I really wasn’t supposed to do, as he could be busy. There was also the chance that I could make him feel disrespected that I sent no fore warning, or scheduled a time with him. He was not like any other wolf I had ever known… not even like grandmother. Grandpa is only the wolf. He is instinct. He does not understand much of how other werewolves think, as he was the first wolf to shift into human skin. All others, even his council members of ancients… were born in human form with an inner wolf. He is the only one I know that is this way, and he is very… rule oriented. I hesitated, and I called him.

The phone rang regardless. “My smallest grandpup, why do you call without forewarning? I hold court this day.” He said with a small growl… but it almost blew my ears out.

“Grandfather, forgive me but I have much I wish to share.” I was silent. It was still his choice to hear an audience with me. Though, I had never had him tell me no.

There was a long silence, and I could nearly hear him debating, “Speak. But do not do this again.” He said firmly. If I were in his presence, I would probably be full submission on the floor, but thankfully I was here near Halfmoon, not in the mountains of Grandia.

Where do I start?! I thought. “Um.” I hesitated. “I found my mate, but you know that… thank you for pardoning him.” I said happily.

“Hmm. You are most welcome. I would not have you mated to a vagabond.” He said calmly.

“Thank you? Also… is 203 members enough to register as a pack?” I asked. I didn’t know how this worked… and dad probably didn’t have the authority to create a pack. We kept getting more people from HalfMoon, and 2 more from the wolf that called himself Master overnight. Both of these packs seemed to be dissolving.

“Yes. The minimum is 150. What is the name you choose, and what is your location?” He said casually.

I didn’t know what to name it… then I had an idea. “BeastMoon. And we’re on the south border of HalfMoon…. Can the location change? We’re kind of nomads…?” I asked casually.

“No.” He said firmly. Noted. He was one not to ask something a second time. I debated on telling him the last thing, because if I did…. I knew it would change everything. “I will have my Second give you and your mate a login for your pack. Do you remember the MoonPack System?” He asked.

“Yup.” I chirped, and I heard him chuckle. Dad taught us all how to be an Alpha in case we left, He also taught us the support systems for Beta, Gamma, and Delta in case we stayed.

“Good, my smart little one. I know you stall. What troubles you.” Even on the phone, he could see though you like a book. I sighed; my hands were tied. If I didn’t tell him, he would come to make sure that I did anyway. I thought to myself somewhat amused.

“Also… there’s been a group of Rouges that are trying to wake up a giant monster in the ground.” I said looking into the tree line.

He snarled, and I heard the deathly rumbles of what sounded like the High Council… “I will come myself, my smallest pup.”

“You don’t have to do that!” I shouted, hearing another snarl.

“You disrespect me pup. I will not tolerate my wolves’ disobedience. They break the law by attempting to rouse Grahkes, and I will come with your territory land permits. Tell no other King of this. I will handle it myself.” He snarled and hung up.

I didn’t know whether to be excited or not about this, because this is probably the first time he’s ever raised his voice that I can think of. Also, for him to say not to tell any of the other kings, this has to be a serious offense done by this Rouge pack. They were the original men and women that defeated the ancient horrors that cannot die. They are tied to the gods and nature itself, so the best we can do is have them slumber, as their raw chaos would bring destruction. You think too much. Growled my wolf, and I agreed. I had things to do as Luna, especially now that we would be nomads no more. The land under my feet was mine and my mate’s.

First things first: I needed to share the good news with the pack, so as not to make them worry. I stood on the log near the fire, and everyone noticed me, giving me bows of respect.

“…. welcome everyone to BeastMoon!” I exclaimed and I saw everyone clap. I looked around for Bryson in the crowd, but he wasn’t anywhere to be seen.

My heart sank in a way, because this was the moment that I wish to share most with him. He had lived out here ever since he was a child, and I wish that he would’ve seen this, because it would’ve meant so much to him.

Alpha Bryson of BeastMoon, please report to the center of the pack. I linked him.

Isabelle…. Really? He linked back in shock…. I was going to take over PineMoon in the spring… but this is better.

….. what’s so special about PineMoon? I asked.

It was where I was born…. But now that I have my own…. I don’t know anymore. He sounded as if he couldn’t believe it.

Was he a good Alpha?

His laughter in the link made my wolf wag her tail. No. He’s a drunk. He linked amused. I will be back with meat and a song little flower.

I thought about linking him back, but I figured to leave him to it.

-------Bryson------

I wiped the sweat off my brow, and I had my black shirt rapped around my shoulders. There was so much to do, and it seemed that no time was ever avalible. I decided to expand the border, because there were so many more people than I had ever had to lead. I needed to make sure that a large enough area for hunting was avalible, as this was originally Rouge lands.

I had claimed it… and honestly if we stayed all winter in one spot, I doubt that anyone would pick up a Rouge scent, and ours would dissipate to the smell of pack. They were worried of this, but my mate was a true leader, and she dispelled all their fears before I could think of anything.

Now that I held a pack, and was a true Alpha, I could now fight in official dispute challenges. I could attend meetings of other Alphas, and build good homes for my people. I couldn’t wait to confront Alpha Keven. It made my gums itch. But I had other things to worry about. I clawed the last of the perimeter, so that now there was a territory claimed that was as big as HalfMoon, but we were close enough I could take it and PineMoon if I wanted… maybe I would.

I heard the howl of three wolves suddenly, and I became alert. They saw me, and immediately stopped in their tracks, linking ‘Alpha’ to me, before continuing their run. They had started patrols, providing me with backup, without me telling them to. It felt good. With the last tree slashed with my claws, I caught a large boar on the way back to camp to celebrate.

I decided not to shift, as the males were aggressive, and I didn’t have to worry about them running away. They ran at first, but the biggest one turned around to charge me with his tusks. I licked my lips, charging him head on in response. I grappled him, and we wrestled for a few moments, before I clawed his throat. He bit my arm before he died, and thrashed until he couldn’t anymore. That was part of the thrill of hunting them… their danger. They were wild as I was, and just as stubborn. To win as the man over this beast was something not many could achieve, and I wished my mate could have seen. Knowing her she would worry for the bite that would be healed before I got home.
