The Prisoner’s Princess Chapter 141
Bryson
It had been 15 years since the pups were born.
Life was peaceful.
I was in my Office, and my mate slept in today. She’d gone to the Council by herself for the first time.
I was so against it, but she complained that I was needed at the pack. I really wasn’t, it’s just that since this was a Council Seat’s meeting, she wanted to fit in by not having me there. I would respect that. I knew that she wanted to show her independence, not just say it.
It was also a passive show of weakness that I would Have to be there to show support with our pups. No one Dared say anything, for fear of Me, but that didn’t mean that they didn’t talk. She didn’t want to be in my shadow, as much as I didn’t mind….. But she was home now.
With her and the pups asleep, it was Very quiet. I got no Rogue Challenges now that my pups ran with me and marked the territory with me. We all even hunted together, sharing a kill two days ago…
I sighed.
I was honestly bored with them asleep….
That was until I heard a human scream in my pups room.
I don’t think I even ran, all I remember was that I was There for my pups.
[Father Help!] Screamed Grace.
[I do not like this.] whined Kaizen, and I laughed hugging all three of them.
“Welcome to being in flesh.” I told them, letting them calm down from the tears they shed… or so I thought…. I’d told them about human forms, but I don’t think they were really listening…. And I gave them the Talk while their mother was gone… as my children were experiencing puberty… and all the crazy things that came with it.
[It hurts to speak.] Said Tyson.
[Why is water coming from my eyes.] Asked Grace.
“Try talking human speech.” I said with a small smile.
They tried… but they didn’t know How to make sounds. At least not yet. Now I needed clothes… and my little girl shed blood… uncommon for wolves, but she was only the wolf…. I could only guess that this was something that used to happen with Unshifted Ones.
[I’M DYING.] she screamed holding her stomach, taking steps back, touching it with horror filled eyes, and my wolf was Nowhere to be seen. [I’m Dying…There would not be More if I was not!]
[Sister No! Father help us!] yelled Tyson.
[This is so painful!] she whined like a pup, but they were too worked up for me to actually get a word in…
[It Dangles!] Screamed Kaizen. [Brother Look! It is going to fall off!]
[I did not even get a chance to use it!] Tyson screamed pulling his mid back length hair.
[Father help!] They begged….
[I’m dying…. No.] Whined Grace. [What cruel god punishes us?!]
Ven had left me to die.
“Shit shit shit… Isabelle!” I said not knowing what to do now.
“I’m coming!” She yelled, ready with clothes and underwear, and pads.
Tyson shifted, running down the hall, and I chased behind him. He meant to go outside, but he changed back into a human form before he finished, barreling down the stairs, crashing into an unmated she wolf.
“OH UM Your Highness…” She said blushing, getting a full view of my son before he tried shifting again, and his brother followed.
[s-Sorry!] he stuttered lifting himself off her and running, attempting to shift again, but changing back.
[Wait for Me!] Kaizen yelled, though he hadn’t shifted yet.
Grace cried for the first time at the top of the stairs in her mother’s arms, not listening to what she had to say. They’d never experienced tears before until Now, or hands, so anything they touched either caught on fire or exploded in their grip….
I had to catch the boys before they actually got outside. Then it would be Harder to get them. I finally did, putting each of the screaming, biting teens under my armpits and marching up the stairs… Wildflower took Grace and gently led them into the office so we could explain this Better….
I put them down, but blocked the door. The boys both blurted to Isabelle that their dangly bits were in fact, falling off because they were floppy….
“It isn’t-” I was cut off.
[Mother it is falling off!] Kaizen tried ‘showing’ her, and she held a small glare at me like I told them that!
“Calm down little ones…. I thought you said you handled it!” She chastised.
“I thought I did!” I said panicking.
She sighed. “…. Remember when we told you about being in flesh like us?” She asked sitting them on the bed. They more or less nodded, but they didn’t know how to put on the tshirts she gave them.
I helped my boys while she took Grace to another room to talk about periods.
“My sons…” I said trailing off.
“Ahtur. No-oo thah z not rai- right.” Said Tyson. I had no idea what he tried to say, but I pressed my forehead to both of them.
Now that they’d calmed down, I saw that they looked like younger versions of me. They sported thinner, smaller horns like mine, and their eyes were such a dark red, that without bright light, one would think that they were black marbles. Their straight hair was such a dark brown, most would think it black, but it was not. They were my blood…. And I was Proud this day.
“My sons, who ran as fur, now you are becoming men. Now you will wear Flesh…. Soon you will rule as Alphas, possibly even Kings…” I said collecting my thoughts. “This is Normal… and that is the way flesh swings.” I chuckled.
“I like the old way better.” Grumbled Kaizen, and Tyson agreed.
I shook my head with a smile. “Well, that’s the way it is. Let me show you how to cover up. We may be wolves, but it isn’t wise to be without clothing unless you’re shifting…. Also I know you hear all the giggling girls downstairs.” I chuckled.
I also motioned them to look in the mirror, as they hadn’t even seen their human forms yet, being nearly my height already.
“…. I can work with this.” Said Tyson, extending, then retracting his claws. Now that he was calm, they went back to their cool, collected natures. This especially went for Tyson and Grace. Of the three, those two were the most agreeable.
I showed them how to put on jeans, but the only way you could tell them apart was scent. My boys looked like twins, and Grace looked like a female version of them. All three had on different color jeans, but all three had on black T shirts. Grace because of her… condition, wore black jeans, where Tyson had on the lightest, and Kaizen had on the same color as me.
“Congratulations!” said Lincoln, holding his seven-year old’s hand. He already showed that he’d be a strong Warrior, already able to growl. He had to go to school this morning, and he raised his hand up to Tyson to high five him, and he remembered what that was.
They all gave high fives to their favorite wolf besides me and Isabelle, but his pup was afraid, hiding behind him.
“Our Human speech is still bad… but I am not bad little Link.” Tyson smiled.
Link, Lincoln’s pup, was still afraid, but he did come out a little.
Isabelle hugged her son, who was as tall as me, making her look small. “You all are so CUTE!” She screamed, and Ashley, Lincoln’s mate, agreed.
“I’ll take a photo!” She beamed.
I took photos with all my children.
I also heard the grill started. Zackery had snuck out behind me to light it with Alexander.
“Catch!” A beer was tossed to me from the bottom of the stairs by Warrior Harlem, and someone started music.
All the pups who went to school were upset that they wouldn’t get to stay, but they would be out of school by the time the food was ready. Isabelle called her family, and they were already on their way.
“Father, can I talk to you?” Asked Tyson, and I motioned him to come outside with me. The other two followed, and I could scent that they were overwhelmed.
“I am nervous.” He said suddenly. “But I Don’t wish to go to school today.” It was likely the first time I’d ever heard a wolf use a conjunction, but they were a little different from other wolves.
“I don’t either.” Said Kaizen, and Grace more or less at the same time.
“That’s natural. You three are going through So much changes…. And on top of it I didn’t explain it well….” I admitted. “I won’t stop you if you don’t want to go, but I’ll still request your aids come if you change your minds.”
“I did not get what you were talking about when you talked about ‘birds and bees’…,” Said Grace.
“…. Since we have forms now… will we get mates?” asked Grace.
“You are wolves whose grandmother is the Moon Goddess…. I can’t see her doing that to you.” I said with a smile.
“… She is in a lot of pain.” Said Tyson.
“What?” I asked.
“Surely you see it every full moon… He starves her, taking all tributes…except what we give. He cannot do anything with our dark energy, nor yours father…. Or grandfather’s…” he said silently.
“Then tonight we will give her the biggest offering we can muster, that she has energy to bless her people.” I said holding a growl.
Even Ven did not know this…. As she hid it even from him, and he lived in her realm. It kindled a silent rage that someone would purposefully hurt the one who gave me my mate…. A woman who gave meaning to this immortal life.
“Father your rage is enough to taste.” Said Grace, giving me a hug as I did them earlier.
“You all melt it away.” I said with a soft smile.
My wildflower joined, as she’d heard most of it, but chose to allow me to handle it.
“How handsome our children have become.” She said trying not to cry. She didn’t want them to grow up, but it was inevitable…. They can’t stay pups forever. I felt the same though…. I still remember when they fit in my claws…. And they squeaked.
“I am being Squished.” Complained Kaizen, and I laughed a bit.
“Then let’s go show you how to use the grill.” I said with a small smile.
Zack already had a boar Warrior Adam caught, and it looked like it was ready to flip. “Tyson do you want to give it a try?” he encouraged. “Adam can you get some more coals?” He asked.
“Alright dad.” He said with a proud smile.
“I kind of always wanted to do this.” Tyson said grabbing it and flipping it with his bare hands. He wasn’t hurt, and Grace used her grip to light more coals.
“Is that enough?” She asked.
“It is.” He chuckled, shaking his head, but the humor escaped them. That was often the case, but for me I at least cracked a smile.
“We use tools, because now your hand’s dirty.” I said seeing him make his hands glow white hot. The food and juice evaporated off, likely making his hands cleaner than if he washed them to be honest. Washing cleaned off germs, but they could disintegrate them.
“That does not really bother me though….” He said seeing the other wolves become worried. With their paws and bites, they could summon not only iron hot grips, but also actual flames.
However, my pack had seen magic, the Horned One, and were protected by his son; they were Fine. Many got over it, fairly quickly, it was just a little jarring for some of them to watch.
