The Prisoner’s Princess Chapter 139
Bryson
“You all know why you are here.” He said in anger. I could scent his rage. I could see the light coming from his pupils, though at the moment, he was the only one whose scowl was this way.
“First we separate the sinner from the babes.” Said the Horned One calmly. For him, it seemed this was like a normal night for him. With a wave of his hand, the young and innocent were placed in the back of the enormous stone square. For me, those souls held a bluish hue.
“Now we deal with the Sinner.” Said Xaxas. “I care not for what you do with all the other souls… but the one called Jang is Mine.” He snarled, but Jang was not here. “You will suffer in his stead.”
Jang’s Beta, a man I’d never seen before but knew his name, screamed, being yanked and levitated to his feet, and plopped to him.
“I did what any would! You are a Monster that should Remain Asle-” He said being cut off, and Xaxas’s eyes glowed red.
“Begone.” He said batting his hand, obliterating the soul to dust, then taking the dust into his hand and crushing it until his hands glowed red hot. He tossed the ball to the Last Ring, but not in the Pit. He purposefully missed, that he be tormented.
Only about 800 were left now, but they were huddled together. To my understanding the stone of this place made even the most evil criminal humble.
“He joins Brutus, Vincent, and Ellie.” Said father casually. “Why are there so many child killers here?” He said waving his hand, and 50 disappeared, screaming through the boiling portal. “Those who are sent to Nine helped Jang, or Brutus.” He waved his hand again, and about 700 disappeared. “Murderers. Assassins. Those who order assassinations. Six. Those who held sexual pets. Two. Slavers, Brutal Men and Women. Four.” He waved again. “Oath breakers.” He waved one last time. “Thieves.”
The rest of the souls that were left trembled looking at us, too afraid to even plead their case. Those were the souls who had no reason to die.
I would for them. “The rest, the innocent did not have to die Xaxas, though I assume their bodies are gone.” I said looking down on them with a little pity.
“There is nothing left of these mortals.” He said with no remorse.
“They should live here on this ring. They have done nothing… and the child souls should be reborn.” I said with a frown.
He nodded. “That I agree with, as they are so fresh, that they can be reused to be a mortal immediately. Go ahead.” He said referring to me.
“I cannot.” I said silently.
“You can. Your emblem is on your chest, and you are a god as much as me. Surely you can do something so simple brother.” He said in disbelief, but the Horned One interfered.
“He does not know How Xaxashevaal.” He said as if to chastise him. “Also, this is Your Mistake. Fix it.”
“Alright.” He said waving his hand, and the children shot up, becoming baby drakes. All in total, there were about 20 that were that young, but it didn’t matter. Even if it was One, no child belonged in Hell. “I only did that to see what creature you’ve created, but you’re not even h a hundred thousand yet.” He mumbled.
“…. How old are you?” I asked, and he chuckled.
“Old enough that the world you live on has developed sentient life twice. A full cycle from single cell organism and all.”
“He’s Very young for a god.” Said the Horned One. “It took him eighteen million to grow to an adult, and three more to summon his sword.”
That did not answer my question, but even that was still… old. Even a supernatural would likely look as an old man or at least be decrepit.
I blinked twice.
“Gods don’t age once they reach maturity unless it is the appearance they want.” Said Xaxas. “Be thankful you were forced in flesh as well. For you, mother did not wait for you to grow as one of the pantheon would. If she had not, you’d still be a milk-drinking babe…. It’s been so long I don’t really remember childhood, but she’d done that to have the maximum amount of time with me.”
“For your sake I will not allow you to remember any of this.” Said father with a wave of his hand.
That gesture had me waking up in my bed. I hated that I had no say. I still had questions…
Then I didn’t remember what the fuck I wanted to ask, or who.
I had a splitting headache.
/Welcome back./ Said Ven smugly.
/I don’t…. I don’t remember./ I said looking into the nightstand by the bed, and taking an aspirin. He disapproved of it, but he didn’t fight me.
I rolled out of bed, as it was the crack of dawn, but I would not sleep anymore. However much I got was all I would get… and I went downstairs to make coffee instead of my office. I just wanted to see the wolves I left in charge of the pack.
…For some reason. They meant A Lot to me…. For some reason I worried for them. Warrior Kathrine and her mate were up on last watch, being corny while linking Warrior Rufus, a new member to the team.
I could not shake the Need for making sure that their souls were ok.
“Morning Alpha.” Said her mate, and I gave a wave.
“How goes tonight?” I asked. Everything looked fine. Nothing special happened last night…. That much I could tell.
“Well, the fire got lit, but you just retired. You sure you’re rested?” Asked Warrior Kathrine.
“I’ll be fine.” I said walking outside.
I scented the fox shifter, Hope, which was odd. I figured that she’d have skipped such a wolf-oriented event.
“Didn’t you have fun?” Asked a wolf who I knew was a Rogue. Or at the very least a new member that I hadn’t seen before. He was a rough looking wolf, smelling that he was at least 30 by the scent of it.
Despite the black furred wolf’s young age, the wild makes a man of you. He could probably spar and hold ground with a ranked Warrior or two of mine. He was allowed here because of the Harvest, but that was now Over.
“Yes sir.” She said quietly. Her shyness made an anger well up in me that I would use to break that little shit’s body.
I’d had enough. I was already ready to skin him, but she saw my hostility and got in front of him.
“Is he bothering you?” I snarled, and she shook her head. She shakingly held his hand, and he put his other on her shoulder.
“I’m her mate.” He bowed.
I read his mind. He was new, about 12 hours in the pack. He also wasn’t lying.
“I’m protective of her. Give her the future she changed her name for, or I’ll have a new rug, one that I’ll make a welcome mat since I’m Out Of Space in my office.” I warned.
It seemed I missed a bit while I was gone. I scented sulfur, but also sweet flowers. Mother and father both blessed this land as they always did, but I didn’t understand why I was forced not to remember what he’d done.
What was so secret that my mind was wiped?
Regardless I took off my clothes and shifted, letting the newcomer see. It was time now to run off the Rogues who Did want to make trouble, and there were quite a few. There were about 7 in total, scenting of ages from 50 to 70.
Their leader was a young, tan and gray wolf, though he was old enough to have a mate if they were in their 50’s or older. It didn’t matter. I could tell they were here for trouble, but I would have none of it.
[The Harvest Moon is Over. Begone or be sent to Hell!] I roared.
They scrambled faster, running for their lives, but if they wished to join, all they’d have to do is show submission and oath.
[If you wish to join, kneel and blood oath your loyalty. Then my claws will not be for you.] I also roared.
One pair stopped, but the unmated males ran, laughing as they did so.
[I hope you’re a chew toy Kenni-boy!] Snarled the fastest one chuffing a laugh as he galloped.
[Fuck You Francisco!] He yelled back. He shifted to show submission with his female mate. “We surrender sir.” He said cutting his hand that I see the blood from it. She did as well, though she had trouble with it since she hesitated out of fear. She’d never oathed, as she was younger, being about 19 by the scent.
“Do you both oath your loyalty to this pack? Do you both swear on your blood that you will not be a threat to pack nor pup, and Behave with honor?” I asked and they mumbled yes.
“I’d never seen a wolf as big as you… I oath because I know my mate will be safe here.” He said with a smile.
“I’m the size of the King, well, a hair smaller. You both, and your future pups when you decide to have them will be safe here.” I said honestly.
Supernatural event aside, with my might I protect this place.
