Isabelle

I walked with my mother and the pack members. I was greeted with many thanks and bows. Everyone wanted to touch my belly, but I wouldn’t allow it. I just didn’t trust all these new females with my baby. He wasn’t born, all it takes is a push or something on their hands to poison my pup before he even drew breath. Before I met my mate, I would have never thought of these things. I patted my belly. My pup has a good daddy.

“My Lady! This would look so cute for my grandpup!” Screamed mom. The color was yellow, so it could be for either sex, and I liked it. It was a little onesie that had a hood with tiny wolf ears. It had ‘Wild Thing’ on it in blue.

“I’ll get it.” I said getting out Bryson’s card. He owned the lumbar yard, so he had funds on a company card. He also put all his gold in the bank, and it was worth quite a bit. He didn’t tell me how much, but I could guess it was allot.

We walked in the hot summer-like sun, and I began to sweat like a melting popsicle. I began to get over heated, and I felt dizzy. My pup was having a tantrum again…and my mom noticed. She called for a Warrior to get a car and they took me home. He drove very slowly, as my mom’s directions, and a female warrior carried me inside. I was set on the couch. I fanned myself with some paper, and there was a knock on the door.

“I’m Luna Ellie of PineMoon, I wanted to congratulate you on your pup!” She beamed. She was a silver haired, blue eyed woman, who looked to be at least 6’6. She was an Alpha female if there ever was. She also had one car full of warriors with her, and they stood behind her as if she were up to something. They looked battle ready.

But I didn’t tell anyone outside the pack that I was pregnant.

“Warriors.” I said almost as a yell. “Escort her off the territory.” I told them and she held a firm scowl.

“You will do no such thing.” She said as a Luna, and they hesitated.

“Then you will leave or be meat she wolf.” Snarled my Uncle with golden eyes. I can’t remember the last time I ever saw him pissed… but he was. I had also never heard him speak as an Alpha.

“I only wish to express my appreciation.” She said angrily, but my wolf was snarling in my head. It made me growl lowly, a rumble of deathly seriousness, as she was a threat.

“That does not matter if we do not want it. There is beef between My mate and yours. I appreciate the attempt, but I cannot risk my pup’s life.” I snarled.

“You selfish little whore, see if I care. I tried to be nice but you’re just as filthy as that mutt you lay with.” She snarled and walked out.

“What the fuck did you just say you dog fucking piece of shit?” Said Chris’s mate. She was already shifted in a second, and leaped at Ellie.

“Says the bitch who rolls over for the devil’s bride.” she shifted and there was a she wolf fight at the threshold of the door. She got clawed pretty good before Elie shifted and fought her off until others came to help her. She was joined by the former Beta’s mate, as well as Gabby with a cast iron skillet. They fought viciously, but she was bigger than them. She smelled old, though she looked only about 35.

It had to take 2 warrior females to aid them to finally make her shift and run to her car. There were more snarls and snaps outside, but I heard the screech of tires, and everything quieted down

“I don’t feel so good.” Said Chris’s mate, passing out on the floor. She threw up blood on the carpet, and I commanded someone, anyone to get her to the hospital….

The horns turned to hair while we were in the car. The drive was silent, other than Kaiden trying to console me. “Bryson know that you truly have a friend if you ever need to talk.” He told me.

“What’s there to talk about? I really am the spawn of the Devil. What the fuck am I supposed to do with this information?” I asked, clenching the steering wheel until my knuckles were white.

“You don’t have to do anything. You are you.” He told me firmly. “Nothing about you changed by knowing who you are.”

“I have horns.” I told him. “I don’t really know what to do about it… what will my mate say? Would she still want me…? …. or our pup?” I asked, and it made my wolf snarl. He tried taking over while I drove, but I held him at bay until we got to the packhouse. I rolled down the window, and howled dominance, and it was responded with howls of loyalty.

Alpha there has been a situation, but it has been handled. Linked Warrior Commander Paul.

I pushed my foot on the accelerator and went faster than I was comfortable with. Thankfully, no one else was on the road, and I swerved into the packhouse garage. It was surrounded by warriors. They wouldn’t let anyone in or out it seemed, and there was a dead body in the front of the packhouse.

“Shit.” I muttered. I recognized that wolf. It was a Warrior from PineMoon.

I got out the car, and everyone bowed deeply. “Luna Ellie tried to kill Luna with wolf’s bane and liquid silver Alpha. Rose is in critical condition, she lost her pup, but the other pregnant she wolves are fine” Said Dr Carson. I snarled, loud enough to crack the windows in the living room, and marched to my mate, who was in tears.

“Bryson, they tried to kill my baby before it’s even born.” She sniffled. “Why would they do such a thing?” She mumbled into my chest. I let her shed her tears. It was more because she was hormonal, as I could see her wanting to fight this woman, but she couldn’t right now.

“I will avenge this for you, my little mate.” I told her, letting my horns come out. It was easy to imagine someone pulling them out my head, or pushing them back in. I put my finger under her chin, and kissed her gently. I waited for her to reject me… to call me a monster, hell even just push me away, but she kissed me back. It was light, but passionate, as we hadn’t mated in a while…

“I don’t want vengeance Bryson; I just want you.” She sniffled lightly.

“Then you will have me, and nothing less.” I told her, kissing her on the forehead. “Pack, prepare for war. None shall enter or leave this pack if they are of any other. I will not tolerate visitors, and any businessmen will be escorted by a Warrior.

“Yes Alpha” My wolves said in unison. I expected someone to request their oath be broken, but that was not the case.

“I already texted Alpha Phillip about this before Alpha Pine could.” Snarled Kaiden. “I also filled out a Challenge Form 2-A for you. You now have the right to retaliate legally.”

“I don’t care about that. He’s planning something.” I snarled.

“That was his plan.” Said the former Beta’s mate. She bowed, and rose again. “Ellie has done this before… about 180 years ago to Alpha Harry of WaterMoon.” She said respectfully.

“I have never heard of this pack.” I told her with narrowed eyes.

“Alpha, that is because they usurped WaterMoon and the Watercrest Quarry afterwards. It was a coup between him and Alpha Greg, but no one could prove it.” She said looking at Isabelle concerned.

“He will die tonight then.” I said with conviction.

I took my mate upstairs and had her guarded by female warriors. My floor was on lockdown until I returned. I didn’t even want her family in the guest rooms, but I knew they would keep her safe. I put on a pair of old jeans I wouldn’t mind destroying. I didn’t want to mess up the boots my mate gave me, those were sentimental. I would go barefoot.

“Bryson, bring the woman back alive.” Said my mate, surprising me. I raised an eyebrow.

“Any special requests?” I asked her.

“Kill her children and make her watch.” She said firmly, clenching a small stuffed unicorn.

“Of course, anything else?” I asked.

“Make them suffer. Like she did all those unborn pups and pregnant she wolves.” There was an iciness to her voice, and it aroused me as much as it concerned me. She patted her belly, and looked at her mother and father. They too looked concerned.

“Izzy-” She cut off her mother.

“Mother, that is my judgment. It is my right as Luna.” She said without a growl. “I want to see it Bryson. She doesn’t deserve anything less.” She sneered.

“Yes Ma’am.” I said, walking down the stairs. I hope her mood doesn’t change by the time I get back.
