Cynthia Dion:

I had been in tears while watching him haul her lifeless body to the cage following his earlier extraction of the girl's remains. He proceeded to administer a dose of wolfbane, leaving her bound in chains.

"She's not your captive; you can't employ her for your sordid and depraved act---" I hesitated, restraining my words to avoid angering him further and causing more trouble for her than she was already in.

"Aren't you even slightly concerned about why she was here?" he inquired, struggling to conceal the deceased girl's body within a black garbage bag.

"It doesn't matter; you don't own her. Have you considered that the werewolf authorities will start searching for a missing she-wolf? Not to mention, she's the Alpha King's closest friend; he'll initiate a search for her before long," I responded in a calm tone, maintaining my promise not to provoke him and inadvertently harm her.

“A little sex with a vampire won’t hurt her. Besides, I will record her well, she will not be able to speak before anyone out of fear of her videos getting leaked,” He shrugged as he defended his actions with a blackmailing scheme.

"Now, aren't you going to inquire about why she came here?" he posed the same question again. It was utterly disrespectful how he was dragging that poor girl's lifeless body toward the door.

"Why was she here?" I finally asked, after his relentless insistence.

"She came to enjoy your suffering," his response sent a shiver down my spine. "She had friends who wanted a few videos of you to fuel the gossip, so I extended an invitation. Let's see how she feels when her videos are in jeopardy," he adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, his eyes fixed on my face, awaiting a reaction.

"Not so concerned about her safety now, huh?" he remarked, a psychopathic indifference evident in his demeanor. "She won't wake up for hours, and until then, I'll take care of this," he gestured toward the girl in the bag. As he departed with the lifeless body, I found myself alone with a slumbering Rosalie, her visit leaving me profoundly disappointed.

'Do you believe what he said?' Thea inquired. It was the first time we were discussing such matters. I'd often heard from others that they conversed with their wolves, so it felt like the right moment to start.

'Why else would she have been here?' I replied, seeking her perspective.

'True, maybe she wanted you to have a run-in with a vampire too, considering her idea to record you backfired on her,' Thea suggested, and I couldn't help but concur with her assessment.

'Do you want her to wake up?' she then inquired, 'We can ask her about the world outside.' For some reason, it seemed like she was taunting me for my confinement.

'I hope you're not trying to mock me,' I responded, unprepared for a snarky wolf. She was a part of me, so I expected her to be understanding instead of acting like a bully.

'Nah, I'm just saying,' she added, 'Can you handle life without constant attention?' I closed my eyes, attempting to calm myself down.

'What's bothering you, Thea? Why are you speaking to me like this?' I finally asked, realizing that engaging in a conversation was better than shutting her out.

'I...I think you're right. I'm sorry,' she apologized. 'I just don't know what comes over me sometimes,' she explained, though she had only awakened a few days ago after being dormant for years. Her reference to 'sometimes' was puzzling.

I settled down in my cage, dreading what horrors the night might hold. After a few minutes, a growing sense of concern washed over me. Regardless of why Rosalie had come here, she didn't deserve whatever he had in store for her.

"Rosalie!" I called out, desperately attempting to rouse her. "Wake up!" I rattled my chains to create noise, but it was unlikely she would easily shake off the effects of the wolfbane.

I had no idea when the doctor would return, but I held onto hope that she would wake up before his arrival. After several hours had passed, it became apparent that he was running late. Finally, Rosalie began to stir and emit grunts of discomfort.

"Ahh!" she struggled to sit up or even reach for her head to inspect what was trickling down her neck--her blood.

"He attacked you," I remarked, sitting against the wall with my arms wrapped around my knees. Fortunately, the cage had one wall that wasn't made of silver.

"Hmm?" she struggled to open her eyes, and when she finally did, a gasp escaped her lips.

"Where am I?" she panicked upon realizing she was confined in a cage.

"The same cage I'm in," I responded calmly, my body having endured various deprivations, including freedom.

"No! No! Why did he lock me up here?" she cried out, managing to sit up, though her body remained weak.

"Well, you should have realized he's not trustworthy," I said, my gaze fixed on her face. It had been such a long time since I'd seen her.

"Cynthia! Why did he do this to me?" she sobbed at the mere thought of enduring torture at this man's hands.

"For whatever reason you wanted to record me," I responded, tilting my head in her direction. She had evidently thought she could engage in malicious actions without facing any consequences.

It wasn't as if I didn't feel sorry for her, but I knew that if I could only fight, I would have already fought for my own freedom.

"What?" she asked in apparent bewilderment, her acting so convincing that it momentarily threw me off.

"You came here to record me while he subjected me to his actions, so you and your friends could revel in my suffering," I explained. "Jokes on you! I still have a month to properly heal, and he's not inclined to do anything to someone whose ability to feel pain is diminished," I added, forcing a sarcastic smile to my lips.

She appeared even more perplexed upon hearing my words, raising her hand and matching it with the movement of her shaking head.

"You've got it all wrong," she protested. "I never came here to record you," her tone carried a hint of offense, and her eyes appeared to mirror the sincerity of her words.
