Werewolf
Rejected Their Broken Luna Chapter 215: Chap-215*The Videos!*
Cynthia Dion:
She hadn't spoken to anyone and stayed in her room after learning about my pregnancy news. Atticus tried to talk to her but returned upset.
"Are you alright?" I sat down with Atticus after he came back from his sister's room.
"I don't know--I don't know how to cheer her up, Cynthia," Atticus uttered, taking deep breaths and trying to shield his eyes from me.
"I think we should take a decisive step now," I mumbled as I straightened my back and gripped my phone tightly.
"I wish we had taken action when we had the chance. Now, my sister is completely shattered," he hid his face in his hands, but I grabbed his wrist and made him uncover his face.
"Atticus! It's crucial now. I know if we had already apprehended him, he would be behind bars, and Maleeka would have had to eventually let go. Look at what happened! Even when we had the opportunity, she couldn't survive the unfortunate event," I was annoyed by the fact that Maleeka was so deeply in love with Zeon that she allowed him to constantly manipulate her.
"I know," he nodded, understanding that we must confront Zeon now. As soon as we decided to take steps to finally put an end to Zeon, the door to our room opened, and I saw Zeon with Maleeka following right behind him.
This was the first time I had seen Maleeka since she was brought back home. "How dare you enter my room without knocking fir--" Atticus got up angrily, but before he could continue yelling at Zeon, he noticed his sister and gulped. The worried expression on his face revealed his concern for his sister.
"Maleeka! What's going on?" Atticus tried to speak to her, but she remained silent. It didn't even seem like she was hearing anyone anymore. She appeared lost in her own thoughts.
"Do you think she is even alive to answer your questions?" Zeon raised his voice as he pulled her closer. "Your crazy mate took everything from her. And you are here in the bedroom with her? It's been a week; when are you going to punish Cynthia for doing all this to us?" The audacity of him to raise his voice and even shed some fake tears.
"Hold your tongue. I'm not the one who did her wrong. You wanted us to suffer, and you made it happen. Now you should be the one to be put behind bars," I had enough of him always accusing and blaming me for the mess he was creating.
"Really? Let the elders of the council decide this," he yelled, making it clear that he had already brought them to the mansion. The three big counselors were already here.
"Step away from my mate," Atticus controlled his emotions and lunged between us, pushing Zeon back until his back hit the door.
Maleeka didn't even react. She just silently stepped aside, her eyes remaining on the floor.
"You're still fighting with me for her?" Zeon screamed while Atticus kept holding him by his collars.
"Because I know who the real culprit here is," Atticus hissed, and I stared at Maleeka, who was looking at me with so much anger and resentment.
"Then let's go speak to the council. They are already regretting ever setting her free," Zeon forced Atticus to let him go, and he opened the door, looking at Maleeka to leave with him. As the two sprinted out to the living room, I angrily fidgeted with my fingers.
"He won't be able to do anything. I'll make sure he is the one who gets his truth exposed today," Atticus held my arm and steadily led me out of the bedroom. I haven't been able to say a word, but I knew I had to show the council whatever evidence I had to finally put Zeon behind bars, where he truly belongs.
We walked out together to find the counselors sitting in the living room, being served food and drinks. As soon as they saw me, the frown on their foreheads became visible.
"Come, have a seat," they told Atticus, not even wanting me to sit with them. Maleeka and Zeon were sitting separately.
"Our condolences to your sister. She didn't deserve to lose her babies or the chance to ever get pregnant," the head of the council said.
"It's indeed a sad phase for all of us," Atticus uttered, waiting for them to start the process of accusing me so that he could defend and counterattack.
"And you must be aware of the person who was behind it all, right?" The counselor continued, and I closed my eyes, lowering my head. Being accused of something I hadn't done was weighing heavily on my chest.
"Yeah, I know who did all that," Atticus replied confidently. They shared a glance, probably wondering why he was sitting so comfortably with me.
"Then why are you still sitting with her? Why not punish her for the sake of your sister and justice?" Matilda Gram uttered.
"Her? What made you think it's Cynthia?" Atticus cleared his throat while pointing at me. Zeon's muscles tensed up, and a vein on his forehead popped out.
"Because that's who did your sister wrong," Matilda Gram replied with a bewildered look on her face.
"No! That's not true. The real culprit is sitting with my sister, still holding her hand," Atticus seemed to realize, along with me, that there was no use in saving Zeon for Maleeka anymore. She wasn't realizing herself that she was harming herself by sticking beside him.
"This is outrageous!" Zeon raised his voice, but I took over next.
"How so? You tricked me, abused me, and then accused me. You've never loved Maleeka. You were punishing her for some crime she didn't even know about. You were punishing us all," I yelled as I got up from my spot and pointed at Zeon, who tried to get up but then noticed how attentive Atticus was.
The counsellors began to share a look while Maleeka narrowed her eyes to the ground before raising her head and steadily staring at Zeon.
"You have no proof--we have videos of you. They have seen those videos," Zeon, who realized he wasn't in possession of those videos anymore because Atticus stole his phone, managed to bring them up because he had indeed shown the counsellors those videos.
That is how I was put in jail by that crazy doctor in the first place.
"The videos you took when she was hypnotized?" Atticus raised his voice and saw the counsellor's jaw hanging.
