Werewolf
Rejected Their Broken Luna Chapter 172: Chap-172*Take That!*
Cynthia Dion:
"You've got some nerve, standing in my and my husband's mansion and badmouthing him," she pointed her finger at me, and at this point, I let Thea call the shots. This Maleeka has always acted disrespectfully to me. She deserves what's coming to her.
"First off, this is my and my mate's mansion. Don't forget, I'm the Luna now. And, secondly, take your finger away before I make it bend and stick it where the sun don't shine," Thea pushed it a bit too far. Maleeka lowered her finger, her eyes wide with shock. She forgot to blink, and her quick breathing showed she was getting anxious and struggling to respond.
"So, this is you revealing your true self?" she whispered, nodding in comprehension.
"No, I haven't even begun. The way you all treated me, deceiving me with your sweet words, you all deserve much worse," I sneered right in her face.
At this moment, I couldn't even tell if it was me or Thea speaking. The emotions were too intense to be artificial.
"I was always kind to you until you took my child's life," she said, tears welling up in her eyes.
"That's what you call kindness? You lied about everything, and even now you're trying to put Mara between us. I'm sorry, but I can't feel any sympathy for you or your tears," I didn't hold back, saying it to her face.
"But I lost my bab---," before she could finish, I let out a grunt and silenced her.
"I lost my child too, Maleeka!" Since my voice was louder than hers, she fell silent.
"I'll keep an eye on you," she grunted, stomping her foot and maintaining unwavering eye contact.
"Look at me all you want, milady; I'm right here," I responded, and she seemed to shiver. The expression on her face hinted that she might have been through this before, but I could be mistaken. It was as if I didn't need to spell out my intentions; it was like she already understood.
After that, she didn't utter another word and retreated, probably to inform Atticus that I had been impolite to her.
'Oh, it was a blast. Did you see the expression on her face? She was so embarrassed,' Thea gushed, growing more confident by the minute.
'Do you think we should go see how Atticus and Mara are doing? What's taking him so long?' She questioned, her curiosity piqued.
'I don't care. They can stay together as long as they want,' I replied, my anger simmering inside. Well, I couldn't hide the truth from her when she knew I was simply too hurt to admit that I was jealous of them spending time together.
I walked outside to the garden and wandered around in the pleasant weather. Mr. Holt must have been waiting for the chance to speak with me privately because as soon as I entered the garden, he emerged from his hiding spot.
'Don't hesitate,' Thea urged. 'I promise, I'll abandon you if you don't make this man suffer as much as he made us suffer.' She didn't need to remind me; I had everything he had done to me etched in my memory, including causing me to lose my baby.
"Married to Atticus now?" He had his hands in his pockets and his eyes ran up and down me, "Look at you, all dressed up and fancy for him," the way he clenched his jaw when mentioning Atticus and me left me questioning whether he was ever a good husband. He acted as though I had wronged him.
"I don't understand why it would concern you," instead of moving away from him, I walked closer to him.
"I see you've sprouted your wings back, the ones I clipped," he chuckled wickedly.
“Sadly, you could never grow the dick that you lost,” I smirked, watching him try to hold the smirk on his face but his face twitched at my comment.
"Maybe you've forgotten how I took that child from your womb," he hissed, his eyes radiating his malevolence. Obviously he wanted to use the worst of my past to hurt my feelings and get a reaction out of me.
"Right! I never forgot it. Why else do you think I've returned?" I replied with a sweet smile. Tears welled up in my eyes at the painful reminder of how he had treated me so cruelly, assaulted me, and caused the miscarriage.
"Oh, you believe you can return for revenge?" He chuckled, hiding his mouth behind his hands. "Let me make this clear: you can't touch me. In fact, I'll ensure you leave with my child this time," His narrowed eyes sent shivers down my spine, but I remained composed, responding with a chuckle.
"What if it's you who leaves this time, unable to ever father another child?" I playfully stroked my chin, observing him clench his fists in secret.
"You've turned quite wicked," he remarked.
"Zeon! You're the one who's brought me to this point, and now you'll have to face the consequences," this time, it was Thea addressing him.
I couldn't quite grasp why she would say that, but as soon as my eye color shifted, he let out a small laugh, and what he said next left me astonished.
"Oh, little wolf, you can't harm me," he gazed directly into Thea's eyes, speaking to her as if he knew her.
He turned and walked away, while I remained rooted to my spot, my eyes filled with tears of horror.
'What was that? How does he know you?' I asked, trembling with sudden anger. 'Thea! Tell me, how do you two know each other?' I pressed her for an answer, but she only mumbled, 'I don't; he's bluffing,' her tone devoid of emotion. She sounded robotic.
'Thea!' I grunted, trying to get her to respond, but then I noticed Mara and Atticus coming out to the garden with smiles on their faces.
He gazed at me, and his smile expanded, clearly enjoying trying to prove something. But his expression shifted suddenly when he noticed the worry and confusion on my face.
"Wait," he detached himself from Mara and hurriedly approached me, "what's happening? Are you okay?" he inquired, reaching for my hand, but I recoiled, pulling my body away from him.
"I am fine, go fuck her all you want," I don’t know what happened to me or why I lost my calm, but whenever I feel like I am not given answers by the people who claim to be on my side, I feel angry and want to lash out.
"What?" Atticus frowned.
"To hell with you," I was seething so intensely that I didn't even realize Mara was standing behind him, wearing a triumphant smile, observing our heated argument.
That was the breaking point for me. I decided to ignore him and ensure he experienced the same intensity of anger I was feeling at that moment.
"You told me you are o---," before he could finish, I mumbled.
"You fuck who you want, and I will fuck who I want," I got on my toes to reach his level and mutter those words in his face.
He clenched his jaw, but that wasn’t going to get him any help. I have planned to invite Jack over. I would like to go out for a friendly dinner with him.
"She's so jealous," Mara grinned, and my focus shifted to her.
"Shut up, Mara!" Atticus snapped at her, clearly irritated by her taunting.
"But---," she started to say, but as I walked past Atticus, I deliberately bumped into her with my shoulder.
"Argh!" She lost her balance and stumbled, landing on her backside. I continued walking back to my room without looking back. Atticus didn't assist her to get up; instead, he followed me, his anger palpable.
"What do you mean by 'who you will fuck'" he continued to grumble and complain as he trailed behind me.
