Werewolf
Rejected Their Broken Luna Chapter 202: Chap-202*Always Supporting Me.*
Cynthia Dion:
"Cynthia! What happened? Tell me what were you trying to say?" Atticus looked intrigued, having noticed the change in my expression. I had unraveled the reason behind everything, and now it all made sense.
"Atticus! I know everything now. OH MY God! I know why Maleeka trusts him so much," I exclaimed. It was all right there from the start, and I couldn’t see it.
And it also made sense now. There was no way a mate would tolerate so much of cheating from her mate. There was a big reason behind her constantly taking him back
"Tell me, what do you know?" Atticus seemed interested too, and fortunately, he didn't immediately blame me or think my wolf had gone crazy again. even when he found me in the farmhouse, he never questioned me. He just immediately knew I was being framed.
"Let us go home, and I will tell you everything in detail. Tell me, why did you ask me about my cellphone?" I inquired, redirecting the conversation. He paused for a moment as he gathered his thoughts.
"I called you earlier, and the maid received it. She told me that you had left after Maleeka and Mr. Holt while holding a silver dagger in your hands," he explained, and my jaw dropped.
"What? Oh MY God! What a devious move. She had my phone?" I grunted, "So Mr. Holt told her to hide my phone, so I think he is going to kill Maleeka’s baby tonight, and that’s exactly how it happened. Did he want me there?" I said, expressing my shock. I couldn’t believe he was such an evil genius. Or maybe I was just too dumb.
"Hm! Here is what we are going to do," Atticus suggested while looking at my thigh, probably worrying about me. "We will tell them that Sabrina lied to you about Mr. Holt hurting Maleeka tonight. She had your phone all this time. I have actually got footage of her stealing your phone, so it will make sense," Atticus had a plan, and I felt lucky to have him with me this time. There is no way I could take down Mr. Holt alone.
"Thanks, Atticus. It was so hard to explain myself back in there," I said, referring to the moment I gave up and didn’t know how to defend myself with the right choice of words.
"Come here," he said, opening his arm for me. The moment I rested in his arm, he wrapped it around me. "I am always with you," he whispered. If Atticus were not on my side, I would have come out as guilty. I couldn't believe Mr. Holt had gone this far.
Once we reached home, Atticus called the doctor for Mr. Holt and me and arrested Sabrina, taking the phone from her and giving it back to me. Thankfully, she didn’t know the password, so she didn’t invade my privacy.
"We have to go and face them," Atticus said after sitting with me on the bed. I had made things so hard for him, and he had to come home for all this mess every day.
"I make you suffer with me all the time," I said, feeling guilty. It wasn’t like I was shamelessly making mistakes. I just believed I did the right thing by trying to save Maleeka. She had been through hell and wouldn't survive if anything happened to her baby again.
"Well, this is what mates are for. The mate bond is a very strong thing, Cynthia. I stick with you, and you stick with me. That is a perfect way for us to be happy," he said, and his happiness being with me made me feel better.
"Besides, it wasn’t like you had left the house for a picnic. You went all the way to the farmhouse without fear of what would happen if Mr. Holt got his hands on you. You did all that for my sister, Cynthia! I don’t know about you, but I feel blessed to have you," he said, genuinely praising me. It felt good to hear those words after losing my confidence and belief in my goodness.
"Thank you so much," I said. I wanted to say more, but my heart was still pounding at all the statements and accusations that were going to be thrown at me in a few minutes.
"Let’s go out now, and don’t worry; I will protect you and defend you. Just do one thing, follow my lead, okay?" He held my hand, and together we got up from the bed. If he were beside me, I was confident nothing bad would happen to me.
Now, in the living room, a huge battle of arguments awaited us.
"I don’t believe that girl was the culprit," Maleeka shook her head. "Sure, she had stolen the phone, but Cynthia is known for coming after my child, and tonight she was caught with a weapon and calling for me in the farmhouse," Maleeka was not wrong; anybody would believe I was there to hurt her.
Mr. Holt had laid out a perfect plan for us. I noticed a smirk across his lips, and my body twitched out of anger. Once again, he had fooled me, but for how long? He would get trapped one day, and that day would be his last.
"She came over there to save you. She has saved Rosalie before, so it is not out of the blue. I am beginning to believe there is somebody else playing all these games against us. Maleeka! You are not safe," Atticus stated, and her body reacted with a shudder and concern. "I am not allowing you to leave the mansion alone again, and by alone, I mean without me," he declared loud and clear, making Mr. Holt lower his face. I could tell he wasn’t happy to hear that. That would ruin his entire plan.
"What about Cynthia? She had the dagger in her han---," Maleeka was instantly silenced when Atticus interrupted her.
