Werewolf
Rejected Their Broken Luna Chapter 58: Chap-58*Maybe I Am Bad.*

"You brought this trash here at last?" Atticus yelled, turning to face me. He didn't appear surprised or startled; instead, he seemed furious. He also seemed well aware that I was now Mr. Holt's wife.
Pointing at my face, he continued, "And you." The fear that surged within me was so paralyzing that I couldn't utter a word. I just stood there, feeling as though my entire world had crumbled.
"I warned you to stay away from my brother-in-law and to stop ruining my sister's life over and over again, but you didn't listen. You're going to pay for this," Atticus's menacing threat and his rapid approach towards me compelled me to spring to my feet and wrap my arms around myself.
Mr. Holt quickly rose and rushed over to stand between us, ensuring that we couldn't make eye contact.
"She's my wife now. You can't treat her like that," Mr. Holt hurriedly interjected.
My mind was racing with a whirlwind of thoughts and worries. One of them was why Mr. Holt had pursued me when he knew I was Atticus' first mate. After all, that made me Atticus' brother-in-law's mate. Mr. Holt must have been aware, as I remembered mentioning it to him on occasion. Did he orchestrate this entire situation? But then again, it was Atticus who had kidnapped me and forced me into this predicament.
"You brought this rogue to my sister's home; soon enough, I'll rise to the position of alpha monarch and expel you and your filthy rogue from my house," Atticus was justified in being angry with Mr. Holt, but he had no right to call me names when he was the one responsible for all the chaos and wrongdoing.
"Atticus," Maleeka grabbed his arm and shook her head, trying to signal him not to say anything more, but Atticus was in a rage.
"I will still be the beta in charge," Mr. Holt stated, though he lacked the same level of aggression as Atticus, as being a beta was a lower status.
"You stepped down a long time ago. You're not getting that status back," Atticus grunted, making it clear that he was not willing to yield.
"I can always challenge that little girl named Rosalie. Let's see who can claim the title," Mr. Holt seemed indifferent to the consequences of his words. Maleeka's fingers wrapped around Atticus' arm seemed to be the reason for Mr. Holt's audacious behavior.
Even I could sense that Zeon was confident Maleeka would not let her brother harm him.
"Tell your brother to stop now, or else I'll take my wife and leave for a place where she won't be constantly under attack," Zeon said, using a clever tactic to convey to Maleeka that if he took me away, she would lose contact with him. Mr. Holt, skilled in manipulating others, was using Maleeka's emotions to pressure Atticus into allowing him to stay.
"Atticus!" Maleeka heard the plea and stepped forward to prevent her brother from escalating the situation.
"Just let it go," she whispered. Truth be told, I was apprehensive about Mr. Holt taking me somewhere else as well. I would rather remain in the company of many people than be alone with him.
"Why? He married her," Atticus argued.
"I'm not opposed to it," she altered her previous statement and gave Mr. Holt permission, even if reluctantly.
"Don't you realize he's manipulating your feelings against us?" Atticus shouted fiercely at his older sister. "He's using you," he muttered, visibly agitated.
"I just can't bear to lose him, no matter what," Maleeka sounded deeply fearful, and I felt a pang of sympathy for her. It seemed she feared that if she were rejected by Zeon, she might never find another mate. While I couldn't let go of my first mate, even when my wolf wasn't awakened yet, I couldn't say for certain if she would be open to having a second mate like me.
"If you really cared about me, you wouldn't have summoned him here in the first place," Mr. Holt was now seemingly relishing in manipulating her emotions and making her feel guilty for doing what she believed was right.
"Fine!" Atticus scoffed, "Let him have his fun with this little rogue. He'll soon figure out the kind of trouble he's brought into this house when she runs off with someone else." His comment turned their attention toward me, and I tried to wipe away my tears while a scowl formed on my brow.
He was talking about my character? He had just assumed I was having an affair with a married man. Was that why he had harbored such intense animosity towards me all this time?
"I--" My attempt to respond was interrupted by hiccups, and I started sobbing uncontrollably into my palms. This humiliation was not what I had married Mr. Holt for. I had chosen to marry him with the understanding that it would provide me with some relief and help me get my life back on track, but now things had taken a turn for the worse.
"Cynthia!" Mr. Holt called my name and encircled my arm with his strong, long fingers. I was unable to escape his grip in time, and then Atticus added another comment.
"You're not the first one to have her in your embrace."
Before I could free myself, Zeon released his grip and glared at me. I just didn't understand why I was receiving the most blame. He was the one who lied about everything and hid his truth from me.
"Stop!" Maleeka cried out in desperation, believing the situation was escalating to a breaking point. She feared losing her mate, who was openly showing more interest in his new second mate.
"No!" Atticus continued to insult my character, causing me to cry even harder. "If he thinks he hit the jackpot by finding a much younger mate this time, then he's in for a surprise," Atticus kept taunting. Thia might have howled in agony hearing such words about her from her mate, so I was relieved not to have a wolf.
"That's enough. You've said enough, Mr. Alpha. You and your sister can sit down and figure out what you want, as I have no problem taking my wife and leaving here today," Mr. Holt declared one final time, then took my hand and led me to our room.
