Werewolf
Rejected Their Broken Luna Chapter 226: Chap-226*The Bad She-Wolves*
Author’s POV:
Years Ago:
"How the hell did it happen?" Ever since Zeon got informed about Eva’s accident at school, he has been wandering in the school’s hallway and crying.
Jacque and Bonnie had been sticking with him and feeling worried about him.
He was in disbelief that such a horrible thing happened to Eva on the school’s grounds.
"There is no way she just fell off the stairs," he shook his head, not ready to believe what the school staff has been telling him.
"I understand your concern, but getting all stressed out won’t do anybody any favors," Jacque stepped forward to comfort Zeon, who was going crazy worrying about Eva.
Bonnie and Jacque were worried for their friend and Zeon; they had never seen him so stressed out. On the other hand, Maleeka had returned home but was a little panicky. She has hurt Eva before, but this time she was directly involved.
It just made her feel a little stressed. What if somebody saw her? It happened in a school, so there was a huge possibility somebody was watching them. What will she do in that case?
"I should have waited for perfect timing," she was constantly rubbing her palms together and walking from one corner of the room to the other.
"But it will be all fine, right?" she asked herself, staring at the main gate where the guard seemed to be talking to someone.
"Somebody is at the door?" she asked herself, watching her guard walk back to her to inform her about the arrival of someone.
"She says she is your teacher, Mrs. Dion?" The guard told Maleeka somebody was at the door and demanding to meet Maleeka.
"Mrs. Dion!" she repeated the name in worry because she remembered Mrs. Dion being the one to find Eva. She knew how accurately Mrs. Dion found her in the one-minute time. Could it be that she saw it happening?
If not, then why the heck was she paying a visit to Maleeka?
"Sure, let her in." Maleeka was trying to sound as unbothered as she could be. She sat down in the living room and waited for the guard to lead Mrs. Dion to her.
"Of course she saw it. She is here to get me in trouble," she was murmuring to herself while taking deep breaths. She had promised to survive this, and then she would never repeat such a thing.
Soon, Mrs. Dion was led inside by the guard. She shook hands with Maleeka and sat down after she was offered a seat.
"Mrs. Dion! Please tell me it is not about my math," she pretended to be clueless about what was going on.
"Since when did you care about your grades?" Mrs. Dion seemed annoyed with her. The look on her face was pretty evident, telling her what she was here for.
"I don’t get the sarcasm," Maleeka still played a fool. As long as she does not accept it, she can fool Mrs. Dion.
"I am here for Eva." That name was enough to make Maleeka understand that Mrs. Dion was a witness to that whole crime.
"What about her?" Maleeka was panicking inside but keeping a straight face.
"She was pushed off the stairs. The entire school knows about it. How come you, the friend of Eva, don’t know a thing? I heard you didn’t even pay her a visit?" Mrs. Dion was looking Maleeka directly in the eye when questioning her.
"Oh! Really? Oh my God, how did it happen?" Maleeka was still going on with her, pretending to be clueless. "I left school early, and then my phone died. Why wasn’t I informed about it?" She had this fake sad pout made of her lips, but it failed to convince Mrs. Dion, who was an eyewitness to it all.
"Maleeka! I saw you with my own eyes. I saw you pushing her down the stairs and then running away from the scene. She was your friend and pregnant, too. Why did you do such an inhumane thing?" Mrs. Dion was bursting with anger, Maleeka noticed.
"You are accusing me of such a horrible thing? Do you even know the punishment for accusing the Alpha King’s sister?" She then took a turn and used her brother’s status to silence Mrs. Dion.
"Do you know the punishment an Alpha King’s sister would get when she gets charged for pushing her friend downstairs?" Mrs. Dion would not be afraid of her.
She had seen the poor girl cry and cry for her unborn baby that her own friend had killed.
"I----," Maleeka was now rubbing her palms nervously and thinking for a way out. "You cannot prove it," she hesitantly said.
"You are forgetting about the camera in front of my room. I was aware you would not cooperate. I have footage of you throwing her down," Mrs. Dion told Maleeka, all she can do now. Maleeka’s jaw met the floor. She should have been careful. But what now?
Mrs. Dion would want to do the right thing for the student because that’s what she was known for. Mrs. Dion had been sick after giving birth to her daughter Flora. She didn’t join school for years.
She finally felt a little better and joined school again, and on the very first day, she saw Maleeka throwing a girl off the stairs.
Maleeka used to be tutored by her when she was a kid, so they were pretty close for some time, and eventually Mrs. Dion was hired as her babysitter.
"I just wanted to give you a heads up before I take the video to the werewolf counselors," Mrs. Dion told her for old times’ sake, and the moment she tried getting up, Maleeka stopped her.
"It was a silly mistake." Her words were more like a confession to Mrs. Dion.
"Your silly mistake made your friend lose a child. Why would you do such a thing, Maleeka?" Mrs. Dion shouted at her in disappointment. She wasn’t happy either, seeing Maleeka get into trouble.
She had formed a bond with her when she used to help her with her studies, back when she used to babysit her.
"She stole my mate," Maleeka lied, making Mrs. Dion stop dead in her tracks and turn to look at her.
