Cynthia Dion:

I walked with the shovel while people kept looking at me in fright. I entered the pack, and the guards squared up, seeing the shovel in my hands as I dragged it, and it made a loud noise.

A car behind me was driven by Atticus, whose presence made the guards let me walk around with that shovel in my hands. I made my way to the mansion and found my father in the garden. The instant he looked at me, he almost choked on the coffee he was sipping.

This asshole killed my sister, and he was sitting over here and enjoying a good cup of tea.

"Cynthia!" he asked, "where are you coming from?" He didn’t even know that the guards outside the mansion were on duty to make sure he didn’t leave.

Maleeka and Mara, who seemed to have come out to see me and Atticus, gasped and stepped back. Mr. Holt stepped back and disappeared into the mansion, but it wasn’t their day.

Not yet.

My eyes were fixated on my father, the devil, who looked clueless until he stared at the shovel in my hand. His face changed color. He stood behind the chair, trying to understand what I was doing with his weapon.

"You used this to behead her, didn’t you?" I asked without acknowledging how everybody was reacting in shock.

"What are you talking about?" My father forced a weak smile and played a fool, saying, "Put it down; it is not for fragile girls like you. Why don’t you let me do what you want with it? Do you want to dig some--thing up?" He didn’t even know how to cover up his sins now.

"I slept on the bed, the same bed underneath which her de--ad body slept," I made sure I didn’t sob even when big tears blurred my vision.

"I ---," my father said, looking around at Maleeka and Mara, who had their faces covered in shock.

"How did you kill Flora?" I spelled it out clearly for him since he was playing too much and my hand was beginning to feel itchy from all the delay.

"What? I did---," before he could continue lying and waste my time, I shook my head and clicked my tongue angrily.

"I am coming from home; I saw her corpse miserably hid under the same bed where I slep---t," I bobbed my head, and the tears blurring my vision ran down my cheeks.

The revelation made him gasp and look behind me at Atticus, who was standing like a stone wall with his breaths racing and his eyes on my father as if he would tear his head apart, but he wouldn’t because that was my mission.

"I di--dn’t mean to kill her. I got ang---ry at her be---," my father started stuttering,

"Why? Why did you get angry?" I started shouting to put pressure on him, and he began to break like a fucking clown.

"Because she wasn’t marrying the man I ask---," he covered his mouth in his hands, and then, in order to make himself look innocent, he added, "I angrily strangled her, but she didn’t die, so--I got scared that she would tell everyone I was trying to kill her, so----so I use---," he paused because I moved my hand and lifted the shovel a little.

"You used this to behead her," I finished, feeling a warm tear wet my cheek once again.

"Yes! But I am your father. Remember how I was trying to save you," he started panicking, smiling like a fool. "You can kick me out of here, but I know you will never want me to be punished," he was trying to fool me again, but how could he even think I would fall for his tricks now?

"Go!" I stepped aside, and a smile of relief covered his lips. I noticed how everybody looked confused. "Go! And save yourself," I prepared myself, and he understood what I meant.

"Cynthia! My dear daughter Cynthia!" He started shivering. He had seen me threaten Mr. Holt. He knew I wasn’t the same Cynthia they used to abuse.

"Cynthia is very angry, daddy; why don’t you try to save yourself," It was Thea who took over the moment she spoke up. Even Maleeka gasped and began to sob. I ignored her because I didn’t have time for her little games.

"Go daddy! Run to the woods, that’s where all the rogues go first when they are kicked out," Thea muttered. It was sad and funny how he came here as a rogue and we let him stay in a pack while he had killed his own daughter out of rage.

No wonder he couldn’t tell Mr. Holt where she was, or else he would have done it.

"Daddy!" Thea swung the shovel playfully. Thankfully, she took over because I was just losing myself.

Dad was mortified at the appearance of Thea. He started walking with the wall to the exit. The instant he reached the gate, he sprinted out. Thea started walking behind him with the shovel swinging and her eyes changing color.

My body morphed, and my nails grew, as she slowly took the majority of my body under her control.

We walked behind him, watching him trip and beg around, asking everyone to help him and save him from me. I have no idea who else was following me. I just wanted to use the shovel.

Dad ran into the woods after he felt like the open road wouldn’t be able to hide him, and a chuckle along with tears left my mouth and eyes because that is where I wanted him to be.

I sped up while his pace started to slow down out of exhaustion.

"Please, somebody save me," he cried as he tripped down and looked around at the trees.

"Nobody is here to listen to you. The only people who used to listen are dead now," I muttered, referring to myself too. I didn’t want Thea to do it. I have to do it.

"You are my daughter," he cried, pleading before me, but it was over now. There was nothing left for him in the world. He has to leave, just like he forced my sister to leave.

"No!" I mumbled with a straight face and then screamed at the top of my lungs while swinging the shovel at him, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed, beheading him with one shot.

His blood spread everywhere, including my face, and his body landed on the grass.

"Ahahahah!" I faked a loud laugh and then dropped to my knees to cry my heart out. I don’t even know when the cloud covered the sky, but the sky too started to cry with me.

"I am sorry!" I shouted, hoping Flora would forgive me. I felt two strong arms wrap around me from behind. Atticus hugged me as I cried loudly enough to scare away the birds and animals.

I cried as the rain washed away all the blood from my body. I wish the rain could do more than just that; I wish it could wash away the sorrows and pain from my heart, too.

How would I ever recover from this now?
