Cynthia Dion:

"There is a problem with her wolf; she does something, and then Cynthia doesn’t even remember what happened, so we are trying to get her help," Atticus backed me up, but it didn’t sit well with Mr. Holt. He didn’t want me to get a pass on anything; he wanted to portray me as an evil person.

"But she hypnotized Zeon!" Maleeka spoke up, and a smile covered Mr. Holt's lips. He was satisfied that his mate was doing the devil's job on his behalf.

"That is why we are reaching out to the wolf, because Cynthia has no clue what happened. Do you think if she was so powerful that she could control Mr. Holt, she wouldn’t have fought him when he----," Atticus recalled the incident of my child’s loss.

"When what?" Mr. Holt asked, narrowing his eyes at me, "It actually started with her attacking me. She suggested we go on the honeymoon, and suddenly she was attacking me, so I had to push her away and fight for myself. Since I had escaped the hypnotism already, I was able to beat her down, and also, I didn’t want to save her as I had realized she was the cause of all the horrible things I had done to Maleeka," this man was evil, and the way he had twisted the whole story now made sense why Maleeka thought I wanted to kill her mate as well.

"And yet I don’t remember a thing," I spoke up and that confused him. He didn’t think I would use it to my advantage.

"I would have never willingly put myself in danger knowing I was pregnant. Besides, if I could hypnotize you before, don’t you think I am able to do it again too?" I raised my brow, and he looked down in confusion.

"Why aren’t you able to? Your wolf can hypnotize him again and make him do horrible things," Maleeka mentioned how it was related to my wolf and her life was still in danger.

"Exactly! My mate’s life is in danger." Mr. Holt mumbled, but he was not sure where this argument was headed.

"And that’s why I need to stay in the room with her because I have to be there to protect her," a smirk covered his lips when he thought we had found a route for him that led straight to Maleeka’s room.

Atticus and I felt trapped for a moment until I said.

"But what if my wolf hypnotizes you again?" That question met with a quizzical stare from Maleeka, and Mr. Holt was once again left with no words.

"You cannot," Mr. Holt instantly retorted before Maleeka once again tried to convince him that he should be in a separate room.

"Why not?" I was looking him directly in the eye. He was getting intimidated by my sudden queries.

"Because the liquid that is used to hypnotize someone has been ran out," as soon as he did a slip up, he shut his mouth down and closed his eyes to grunt, "I mean, you ran out of the liquid you were using to hypnotize me," he corrected, but didn’t look too pleased because now we had some information about the whole hypnotism thing.

"I used a liquid and told you about it?" I raised my brow. Maleeka was now lost, too.

"Does that mean you are not evil?" Maleeka questioned, lowering her neck so that she could fill her face with her hands.

"Let’s just not jump to conclusions," Mr. Holt said while panicking. He had accidentally cleared my name with this whole act of running away. If he hadn’t left and asked for this discussion to happen, I would still be seen by others as an evil soul.

"It is fine; she is taking help." Atticus got up from his seat to hold his sister’s hand and comfort her.

"I hated her--it was so easy to accuse and blame someone, and now I feel like everybody is a victim," she was sobbing. I get why she is sensitive right now.

I raised my brow at Mr. Holt, comfortably resting my back against the couch rest, and smirked at him. He wasn’t the one smirking this time. In fact, he looked lost for some reason.

"It seems like the Moon Goddess is punishing me for the sin I have committed in the past," Maleeka raised her face from her hands and zoned out, and that’s when I noticed Mr. Holt clenching his jaw and slowly looking down. His posture was confident, but his eyes were telling a different story.

That was it. It wasn’t the Moon Goddess, but Mr. Holt himself punished her. But why? And why punish me with her? I have never done anything wrong with him.

My mind was flooded with countless queries at this time, and I needed to get out of this conversation so that I could speak to Atticus about all these new discoveries.

"So, I will just not bother you all and apologize for the sins my wolf has committed," I added, but this time, my offer wasn’t received well with Maleeka. She didn’t add anything to it because now she too thought I might be a victim.

"And before we proceed, I also want to explain why we were doing the investigation. Only so that we can find out why my wolf did all this," I added, and it actually made sense. However, Mr. Holt looked extremely lost and unhappy.

"But what if your wolf does something else to harm me? I know she cannot hypnotize Mr. Holt or others anymore, but she can take control over you and try to hurt me," she was concerned, and rightfully so. All the things she had been put through by Mr. Holt had made her worry about her child’s safety.

"Just like last night," Mr. Holt added with a fake sad pout.

"That won’t happen again," Atticus said. "We have decided to give her wolf some medications to make sure she stays sleeping most of the times," he lied brilliantly.
