Werewolf
Rejected Their Broken Luna Chapter 94: Chap-94*The Despicable She-wolf.*
**Author's POV:**
"Oh my God! I'm so happy," Rosalie said, her joyful dance filling the playground.
Atticus dunked the ball through the hoop behind her, and Enzo ambled about, not quite as active.
"I wish that slutty bitch had come. I was hoping to give her a piece of my mind," Rosalie sighed, plopping down and setting her trophy aside.
"Why do you have to mention her now, during this happy moment?" Enzo rolled his eyes at Rosalie's fixation on Cynthia and settled on the ground in front of her.
"Because I really can't stand her," she shrugged, stealing a quick glance at Atticus, who dropped the ball upon hearing Cynthia's name.
"Why didn't she show up today?" Rosalie inquired, turning her attention to Atticus as he joined them.
"Why are you asking?" Enzo interjected before Atticus could respond, knowing that if Atticus spoke, he would likely scold Rosalie for repeatedly bringing up the same topic.
"Because she took up a spot," Rosalie shot a glare at Enzo for preventing Atticus from responding.
"So, Atticus, she lives in the same mansion as you. What's her behavior like? It must be tough for you to see her with your brother--" Rosalie stopped herself when she noticed Atticus tense up, raising her eyebrow and glaring back.
"What's your issue with her?" he asked, his tone becoming stern.
"Why do you keep mentioning her all the time?" Atticus persisted, his expression growing harsh.
"Because I care about you. I understand she can be difficult--," Rosalie fell silent when Atticus burst into hearty laughter, her lips curving downward.
"Difficult? Well, you certainly have a front-row seat to that," his comment left Rosalie stunned.
Enzo had to lower his head and shake it. He couldn't blame Atticus for his remark. He had tried to caution Rosalie about speaking negatively about Cynthia in front of Atticus, but she hadn't heeded his advice. So, she had brought this upon herself.
"You're choosing her over me?" Rosalie was so taken aback that she forgot to blink. Tears welled up, blurring her vision. She closed her eyes and turned her head away.
"Yes, I am. Maybe this will help you be more cautious from now on," he retorted and rose to leave.
"Hey, are you leaving already?" Enzo asked, trailing after him.
Rosalie remained in her place.
"I need to head home and be with my sister," Atticus replied.
"I thought we were here to celebrate her victory?" Enzo struggled to catch up with Atticus and seek an explanation.
"Nah, not at all!" Atticus replied without looking back.
"See you later," Atticus called out, then quickly vanished from their sight.
Enzo returned to where Rosalie was and let out a groan of frustration.
"Why did you have to spoil his mood? You know what he deals with every day at the mansion, coping with his sister's difficult life and his brother-in-law's awful behavior. Why bring up Cynthia?" He scowled while she sobbed into her hands.
"He called me a difficult person because of her," she murmured, sounding discontent.
"Rosalie, why can't you see that he doesn't want any of us disrespecting her?" Enzo attempted to help her grasp the situation, but it only seemed to annoy her further. She removed her hands from her face and glared at Enzo.
"And you don't have a problem with that?" She almost yelled at him, provoking him further. "She's your friend too. Why don't you stand up for her against him? Why let him have her all to himself?" She was so furious that she didn't realize she was hurting Enzo's feelings, even though her intention was to make Atticus understand that Cynthia wasn't only his concern.
"Oh! So you'd be fine with me looking out for Cynthia and defending her?" Enzo asked, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"Yes! Just take her away from Atticus," Rosalie blurted out, glaring at Enzo, but her words soon registered.
"No! Not at all. Oh my goodness! What am I saying?" She slapped her forehead, this time speaking in a softer tone.
"Right!" Enzo felt like a fool for always chasing after her, especially when he was an alpha himself and could have anyone he wanted.
"Enzo! You're not taking my words seriously, are you?" She wiped her tears away and forced a sly smile onto her lips, reaching for his hand and giving him a suggestive look.
"I only said it because I know you're not as foolish as he is. You'd never compete with me for that person," she used her charms to try to bring him back to his usual self, but he was too hurt in the moment to fully respond.
"I just remembered Dad asked me for some help," Enzo slipped out of her grasp and stood up to leave.
"Wait! I thought we were going out for dinner to celebrate--" her tone shifted, now filled with sadness as Enzo was also walking away.
"Huh!" She let out a grunt.
"Why do you keep chasing after him? Give him some space. He's going through a tough time--," Enzo hadn't finished speaking when Rosalie's head shake silenced him.
"All of this is because of that mean person," she muttered under her breath.
"You're starting again," Enzo sighed a little, but Rosalie was too focused on her disdain for Cynthia.
"Why not? She's the reason Atticus is feeling down. I'll make your life difficult, Cynthia," she muttered quietly, still upset that Cynthia had skipped the contest that day.
"I wanted to stay with you because I thought you needed me. But I'm sure you'll manage just fine on your own," Enzo scoffed before parting ways with her.
"But Enzo!" She couldn't finish her sentence because he didn't stick around to listen to her complaints about how unfairly everyone was treating her or hear her speak negatively about Cynthia.
Rosalie watched him vanish, and it frustrated her.
"There must be a reason she didn't show up today. Maybe she's hiding something. I'll uncover it and reveal it to everyone," she nodded to herself, devising a plan to make Cynthia experience hardship.
