"What do you mean by she stole your mate? Zeon is her mate. That’s what everybody knows." Mrs. Dion, who thought of Maleeka as this innocent and sweet little girl, was ready to accept any lie she was going to tell her.

"She was the second chance, mate. Zeon accepted me two years ago. We used to be together; we were never separated, and then i--- then I got pregnant with him, but during that time, she joined school. She caused my abortion. I know it is not an excuse to do the same to someone else, but think of it as your own daughter. You have a little daughter that you gave birth to with so much difficulty. Can you imagine anyone hurting her? Just imagine what I have been through." She sniffled as she shed crocodile tears. She was sneaking glances at Mrs. Dion, too.

She wanted to get out of this mess by any means.

"I am so sorry that happened to you, but I still have to tell the counsel about the video. You can rest your case before them. If you are innocent, they will listen to you and probably give you less punishment." Mrs. Dion didn’t want Maleeka to be in trouble, but it was the right thing to do. However, she had shocked Maleeka by saying all that to her.

As soon as Maleeka saw her turning on her feet, she decided to play one last card.

"I know how your husband treats you and your daughters." As soon as Maleeka raised that statement, Mrs. Dion stopped dead in her tracks.

"He doesn’t even let you see your daughters. And I know you are still not well, but he wants you to earn. What if I tell you, I will give you so much money that you will not have to work again?" Maleeka’s words made Mrs. Dion turn around and stare at her. "What if I give you a mansion here in this pack? You and your daughters will never be called rogues again." She was hoping Mrs. Dion would fall for it, but it only upset Mrs. Dion.

"You are buying me?" she asked and shook her head, displaying disappointment, but Maleeka wasn’t nearly done yet.

"I know Cynthia is not his daughter," those words shook Mrs. Dion to finally be all ears. "You got pregnant with her from a one-night stand and never got to find the real father. Your husband knows this because, when he married you, Cynthia was already a few months old. You also know how your husband looks at your daughter. Do you think Cynthia will survive his poisonous claws? She will not, but I can help you save your daughter and even find her father for you," Maleeka finished and waited for Mrs. Dion's response. However, Mrs. Dion had hidden the truth about Cynthia’s father from many people, calling it just a one-night stand.

"What do I have to do?" Mrs. Dion asked Maleeka, and it was at that moment that she agreed to hide the truth and be on Maleeka’s side.

Among Eva and her daughters, she chose her daughters.

Eva was brought home, but she hadn’t been able to recover from the trauma for more than a week. She hadn’t uttered a word to Zeon, who had been taking care of her all these days.

"It was Maleeka!" Just when Zeon thought the night would pass by in her silence, Eva spoke up.

"What?" Zeon didn’t know what she meant. He had to sit down and hold her hand to ask her what she meant by it.

"The other time, when I was pregnant, Maleeka came by. I only ate with her, and then I lost the baby," she whispered, her eyes stuck in space and tears streaming down her eyes.

Zeon was shocked to hear what she was suggesting, but he waited because he knew she had proof.

"She pushed me downstairs; I saw her!" She finished and started wailing loudly as she recalled how she felt about losing her baby again.

"What?" he said, feeling his blood run cold. How could this be possible? How could she kill her baby? How could she hurt his mate?

"It was her!" Eva screamed in her palms, feeling like a fool for never realizing Maleeka was only with her so that she could remain close to her and also hurt her.

"I will fucking kill that bitch," Zeon muttered angrily, his blood boiling in his veins, but he decided to comfort Eva first.

She was having a meltdown, and he couldn’t hear her cries anymore.

He had decided to collect the evidence against her by asking Mrs. Dion for the camera footage of her.

"I cannot believe this," Jacque was running after Zeon to match pace with him. They were headed to Mrs. Dion’s office to speak to her.

Maleeka had come late that day, but the moment she saw Zeon briskly making his way to Mrs. Dion’s office, she understood what was going on. She didn’t come into his sight out of fear of him lashing out at her and causing a scene.

She rushed back to the parking lot to leave for her mansion while Mrs. Dion welcomed Jacque and Zeon inside.

"So you want me to look for the footage?" After hearing everything from Zeon, who didn’t hide the fact that Eva had told him Maleeka did it, Mrs. Dion asked them.

"That footage must have captured everything." Zeon was sure that the video would prove how dangerous Maleeka was. If he could, he would go kill her with his own hands, but that would leave Eva behind. If nobody finds out about the reality of Maleeka, she will die innocent, and Eva will face the wrath of everyone, something he would never want.

"I am so sorry! My cam wasn’t working those days." Mrs. Dion had to steal her eyes and pretend like she was going through files in order to lie. She was aware of Eva’s pain, but she had her own daughters to worry about.

"That is weird becau---," Jacque remembered Mrs. Dion warning a kid smoking in the hallway that she saw him on footage just around the same time.

"You two are accusing the Alpha King’s sister on the basis of nothing. You know how big of a crime it is?" She then continued to silence them, but Zeon was not having it.

"I am sorry! But not on the basis of nothing. Eva witnessed it." Zeon was shocked at how Mrs. Dion was showing no concern for Eva.

"I don’t want to say it, but when I found Eva, which was right away, she had passed out. In fact, I saw her tumbling down those stairs. I don’t know why she is accusing Maleeka, but I guess it is a way to convince herself she didn’t cause the harm to her baby by accident," those words leaving Mrs. Dion’ lips angered Zeon. She was trying to blame Eva and even make it seem like Eva was the one lying to make herself feel better.

"I can’t believe you are a woman and saying all that bullshit!" Zeon slammed his hand on the desk and yelled at Mrs. Dion.

"Manners!" Mrs. Dion shouted back at Zeon, "You know what? I am going to call the guards." She threatened them and didn’t even wait for them to leave before calling the guards.
